JOINING THE POWER HEAD TO THE BLOWER
ATTACHMENT

Installtheblowerattachment onto thepowerheadusing
thecouplerdevice.
 Removethesparkplugwireordisconnectfromthepower
supply.
 Removethehangercapfromtheattachmentshaft.
 Loosentheknobonthecouplerofthepowerheadshaft.
 Push in the button located on the blower attachment.
Alignthebuttonwiththeguiderecessonthepowerhead
couplerandslidethetwoshaftstogether.Rotateattach-
mentshaftuntilbuttonlocksintothepositioninghole.
NOTE:Ifthebuttondoesnotreleasecompletelyinthe
positioninghole,theshaftisnotlockedintoplace.Slightly
rotate from side to side until the button is locked into
place.
 Tightentheknobsecurely.

USING THE BLOWER ATTACHMENT

Whenusingtheblowerattachment,holdtheunitwithyour
righthandontherearhandleandyourlefthandonthefront
handle.Keepafirmgripwithbothhandswhileinoperation.
Theblowershouldbeheldatacomfortablepositionwith
therearhandleabouthipheight.
NOTE:Carrythe unit slightlyabovegroundlevel.Donot
drag or push it along on the ground as the housing will
wearquickly.
OPERATING TIPS
NOTICE:
Always operate your product in compliance with all
applicablelawsandordinances.

To keepfromscatteringdebris,blowaroundthe outer
edgesofadebrispile.Neverblowdirectlyintothecenter
ofapile.
 Youwillfindthatitisnolongernecessarytomoveobjects
toeffectivelycleanaroundthem.Asimpleblastfromthe
blowerwillmovedebrisfromthosedifficulttoreachand
oftenimpossibletocleanareas.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plasticsaresusceptible todamagefromvarious typesof
commercialsolventsandmaybedamagedbytheiruse.Use
cleanclothstoremovedirt,dust,oil,grease,etc.
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petro-
leumbased products, penetrating oils, etc., come in
contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage,
weakenordestroyplasticwhichmayresultinserious
personalinjury.
ATTACHING THE STORAGE HANGER
See Figure 4.
Therearetwowaystohangtheattachmentforstorage.
 Tousethehangercap,pushinthebuttonandplacethe
hangercapovertheendoftheattachmentshaft.Slightly
rotatethecapfromsidetosideuntilthebuttonlocksinto
place.
 Thesecondaryholeintheattachmentshaftcanbeused
forhangingpurposesaswell.
STORING THE ATTACHMENT
 Store the attachment indoors in a dry, well-ventilated
placethatisinaccessibletochildren.
 Keepawayfromcorrosiveagentssuchasgardenchemi-
calsandde-icingsalts.
WARNING:
Beforeinspecting,cleaning,orservicingthemachine,
shutoffengineormotor,waitforallmovingpartsto
stop,anddisconnectsparkplugwireandmoveitaway
from spark plug or disconnect from power supply.
Failuretofollowtheseinstructionscanresultinserious

 Thegroundlevelairblastisidealforpracticallyallsweep-
ingjobs.
When using attachment with a gas power head:

So that you may become accustomed to the blower
operation,startthe engineandlet itwarmup. Atidle,
youwillfindthatnoairismovingbecausetheclutchis
disengaged.Asyougraduallyincreasetheenginespeed
tofullthrottle,youwillfindthattheairforceincreases
also.

Theblowerproducesastrongairblastwhenoperatedat
fullspeedandtheairforceisdirectlycontrolledbythe
enginespeed.
 Inmanysituationsitisnotnecessarytousethefullpower
oftheblower;infactitisnotadvisableinsomeapplica-
tions.Whenusingtheblowerintightquarters,suchas
cornersofpatiosandgarages,fullpowerisnotusually
required.Asomewhatslowerspeedwilldothesamejob
effectivelywithouttheturbulencecreatedbyfullpower
operation.Thisturbulenceonlycarriestheblownmaterial
backintothecornerandproducesfloatingdust.

CONSERVER CES INSTRUCTIONS
Lire attentivement ces instructions et celles du moteur
avant d’utiliser cet accessoire.
Apprendre à connaître l’outil. Lire et veiller à bien com-
prendre le manuel de l’opérateur et observer les avertisse-
ments et les instructions des autocollants apposés sur
l’outil.
Ne pas laisser des enfants ou des personnes n’ayant pas
reçu une formation adéquate utiliser cet outil.
Ne pas mettre le moteur en marche ni le faire fonction-
ner dans un espace confiné, un immeuble, près d’une
fenêtre ouverte ou dans tout autre espace non aéré où
les vapeurs nocives de monoxyde de carbone pourrait
s’infiltrer. Le monoxyde de carbone, un gaz incolore, ino-
dore et extrêmement toxique peut causer l’inconscience
voire la mort.
Pour utiliser cet outil, toujours porter une protection ocu-
laire avec écrans latéraux certifiée conforme à la norme
ANSI Z87.1, avec protection auditive. Ne pas suivre cette
directive pourrait entraîner des blessures graves comme
la projection d’objets dans vos yeux.
 Porter des pantalons longs, des chaussures de travail et des
gants épais. Ne pas porter de vêtements amples, shorts,
bijoux quels qu’ils soient, des sandales et ne pas travailler
pieds nus.
Pour réduire les risques de happement par les pièces
en mouvement, ne pas porter de vêtements amples,
foulards, colliers ou autres articles de même nature.
Attacher les cheveux longs pour les maintenir au-dessus
des épaules, afin qu’ils ne se prennent pas dans les pièces
en mouvement.
Garder les badauds, enfants et animaux domestiques à
une distance minimum de 15 m (50 pi).
Rester attentif, prêter attention au travail et faire preuve
de bon sens lors de l’utilisation de tout outil électrique. Ne
pas utiliser cet outil en état de fatigue, si l’on est souffrant
ou sous l’influence de l’alcool, de drogues ou de médica-
ments. Un moment d’inattention pendant l’utilisation d’un
outil électrique peut entraîner des blessures graves.
Ne pas travailler sous un éclairage insuffisant.
Ne pas travailler hors de portée. Toujours se tenir bien
campé et en équilibre. Des pieds bien campés et un bon
équilibre permettent de mieux contrôler l’outil en cas de
situation imprévue.

Utiliser l’accessoire approprié. Ne pas utiliser l’accessoire
dans une application pour laquelle il n’a pas été prévu.
Ne pas toucher les alentours de l’échappement ou du
cylindre de l’ensemble moteur à essence. Ces pièces
deviennent très chaudes en cours de fonctionnement.
Le contact avec des surfaces brûlantes pourrait entraîner
des blessures graves.
Toujours arrêter le moteur et débrancher le fil de la bougie
ou débrancher de la prise secteur avant d’effectuer tout
entretien ou réglage.
Se tenir bien campé et en équilibre. Ne pas passer par-
dessus. Le travail hors de portée risque de faire perdre
l’équilibre ou de causer un contact avec les pièces
brûlantes.
Entretenir l’outil conformément aux instructions de ce
manuel d’utilisation.
Ne pas utiliser sur une échelle, un toit, dans un arbre ou
sur toute surface instable. Une bonne tenue et un bon
équilibre permettent de mieux contrôler l’outil en cas de
situation imprévue.
Avant de nettoyer, réparer ou inspecter, arrêter le moteur
et vérifier que toutes les pièces en mouvement sont im-
mobilisées. Déconnecter le fil de bougie et le garder à
l’écart de la bougie afin d’empêcher un démarrage ac-
cidentel. ou débrancher de la prise secteur.
Il est recommandé d’apporter l’équipement à un centre
de réparations qualifié pour la faire réparer pour éviter
que des réparations effectuées par une personne inex-
périmentée ou non qualifiée puissent endommager la
laveuse à pression, créer des conditions dangereuses,
des blessures à l’utilisateur et annuler la garantie.
