Es werden Administratorrechte benötigt – bei
Bedarf den Administrator kontaktieren.
2.1 Benutzer verfügt über Administratorrechte

einlegen – Installation startet automatisch
(AUTORUN)

Wird die Installation nicht automatisch gestartet,
muss manuell gestartet werden.

.Computer auf integrierte Bluetooth®-Hardware
überprüfen und diese ggf. deaktivieren, z. B.
über einen Schalter am Notebook oder den
BIOS-Einstellungen.
.Bluetooth® USB Stick in einen freien USB
Steckplatz einstecken
Hinweis
Ausschließlich den mitgelieferten Bluetooth®
USB Stick verwenden und beim ersten Einstecken
die Treiberinstallation vollständig abwarten.
.STIHL Diagnose-Software starten und
abwarten, bis die Anzeige in der Statusleiste
von „MDG 1 wird gesucht“ auf
„MDG 1 gefunden“ wechselt
.Auf die Grafik „MDG 1“ klicken – Statusleiste

5. Gebrauchsanleitung
Eine ausführliche Gebrauchsanleitung ist auf der
CD-ROM oder direkt über die STIHL Diagnose-
Software verfügbar
.Schaltfläche „Gebrauchsanleitung anzeigen“
auswählen und auf „MDG 1“ klicken – die
Gebrauchsanleitung wird geöffnet
In der Gebrauchsanleitung ist das manuelle
Herstellen einer Bluetooth®-Verbindung
beschrieben, falls eine automatische Herstellung
der Bluetooth®-Verbindung auf Ihrem Computer
nicht möglich ist.
6. STIHL Diagnose-Software
aktualisieren
Einführung neuer Geräte und Erweiterungen der
Diagnosefunktionen erfordern ein Aktualisieren der
STIHL Diagnose-Software.
Es werden Administratorrechte benötigt.
6.1 Computer mit installierter
STIHL Diagnose-Software verfügt über
einen direkten Internetzugang
.Schaltfläche „Auf Aktualisierung prüfen“
auswählen – das Aktualisieren erfolgt

Benutzername: stihl\_stihl_sds_user
Passwort: STIHL_diagnose_download!
Nach dem Herunterladen der Installationsdatei
kann diese über ein externes Speichermedium
(USB, CD, ...) oder das Netzwerk dem Computer
ohne Internetanbindung zugänglich gemacht
werden.

3. Connecting the STIHL engine
analyzer
3.1 To a power socket
.Select the appropriate power plug adapter and
push into the slot (1) of the power adapter – the
adapter must engage audibly
.Connect the connecting cable (1) with the plug
(B) of MDG 1 and the jack (2) of the power
adapter and screw the plug connections into
place
.Plug the power adapter into the wall socket
3.2 To battery adapter for STIHL AAD 1
analyzer
.Connect the connecting cable (1) with the plug
(B) of MDG 1 and the jack (2) of the AAD 1 and
screw the plug connections into place
3.3 Self-test
Once the MDG 1 is connected to the power supply,
a self-test runs – LED (1) is continuously green:
Self-test completed.

4. Connecting the STIHL engine
analyzer to the computer
.Check the computer for integrated Bluetooth®
hardware and deactivate if necessary, e. g. via
a switch on the notebook or the BIOS settings.
.Plug the Bluetooth® USB stick into a free USB
slot
Note
Only use the Bluetooth® USB stick supplied and
when plugging it in for the first time, wait until the
driver installation has been completed.
.Start the STIHL diagnostic software and wait
until the display in the status bar "Searching for
MDG 1" changes to "MDG 1 found"
.Click on the graphic "MDG 1" – status bar
indicates "MDG 1 connected" and the STIHL
diagnostic software changes to "Preparation"
LED (1) is blue – ready for use
LED (1) flashes blue – data transmission

5. Instruction manual
A detailed instruction manual is available on the CD-
ROM or directly via the STIHL diagnostic software
.Select the button "View instruction manual" and
click on "MDG 1" – the instruction manual opens
The instruction manual provides details of how to
manually establish a Bluetooth® connection, if an
automatic Bluetooth® connection cannot be
established on your computer.
6. Updating the STIHL diagnostic
software
The introduction of new devices and expansion of
diagnostics functions require the STIHL diagnostic
software to be updated.
Administrator rights are required.
6.1 Computer with installed
STIHL diagnostic software has direct
Internet access
.Select the button "Check for updates" – the
software is updated automatically
6.2 Computer with installed
STIHL diagnostic-software does not have
direct Internet access
The data for updating the
STIHL diagnostic software is provided by the
STIHL subsidiary.
Note
The current version of the STIHL diagnostic

After the installation file has been downloaded, it
can be accessed by the computer via an external

2. Installation du logiciel de diagnostic
STIHL

.Introduire le CD-ROM dans le lecteur de
l'ordinateur – l'installation démarre
automatiquement (AUTORUN).
.Suivre les instructions d'installation du logiciel
de diagnostic STIHL.
Si l'installation ne démarre pas automatiquement, il
faut la démarrer manuellement.
.Introduire le CD-ROM dans le lecteur de
l'ordinateur.
.Sélectionner et ouvrir le lecteur.
.Lancer le programme d'installation en double-
cliquant sur le programme « SDSSetup.exe ».
.Suivre les instructions d'installation du logiciel
de diagnostic STIHL.
2.2 Si l'utilisateur ne possède pas de droits
d'administrateur
.Introduire le CD-ROM dans le lecteur de
l'ordinateur.
.Sélectionner et ouvrir le lecteur.
.Avec la touche droite de la souris, cliquer sur
« SDSSetup.exe » et sélectionner « Exécuter
en tant qu'administrateur ».
.Saisir l'administrateur-utilisateur et démarrer
l'installation.

3. Branchement de l'appareil de
diagnostic pour moteur STIHL
3.1 Sur une prise de courant
.Choisir l'adaptateur de prise secteur qui
convient et l'introduire dans la prise (1) du bloc
d'alimentation secteur – l'adaptateur doit
s'encliqueter avec un déclic perceptible.
.Relier le cordon d'alimentation électrique (1)
avec la fiche (B) de l'appareil MDG 1 et avec la
prise (2) du bloc d'alimentation secteur et visser
les connexions.
.Brancher le bloc d'alimentation secteur sur la
prise de courant.
3.2 Sur l'adaptateur à batterie pour appareil de
diagnostic STIHL AAD 1
.Relier le cordon d'alimentation électrique (1)
avec la fiche (B) de l'appareil MDG 1 et avec la
prise (2) de l'adaptateur AAD 1 et visser les
connexions.
3.3 Autotest
Après le branchement de l'appareil MDG 1 sur
l'alimentation électrique, un autotest a lieu – une fois
que la diode électroluminescente (1) reste allumée
de couleur verte : l'autotest est terminé.

4. Raccordement de l'appareil de
diagnostic pour moteur STIHL avec
l'ordinateur
.Contrôler si l'ordinateur est doté d'un matériel
Bluetooth® intégré – le cas échéant, le
désactiver par ex. à l'aide d'un commutateur de
l'ordinateur portable ou des réglages BIOS.
.Introduire la clé USB Bluetooth® dans un port
USB libre.
Nota :
Utiliser exclusivement la clé USB Bluetooth® jointe
et, après la première insertion de cette clé USB,
attendre que le pilote soit intégralement installé.
.Démarrer le logiciel de diagnostic STIHL et
attendre que l'affichage de la barre d'état passe
de « Recherche de MDG 1 en cours » à
« MDG 1 trouvé ».
.Cliquer sur le graphique « MDG 1 » – la barre
d'état affiche « MDG 1 connecté » et le logiciel
de diagnostic STIHL passe à l'affichage
« Préparation ».
Diode électroluminescente (1) allumée de couleur
bleue – système opérationnel.
Diode électroluminescente (1) clignotant de couleur
bleue – transmission de données en cours.
.Pour l'utilisation suivre les instructions de la
Notice d'emploi du logiciel de diagnostic STIHL.

5. Notice d'emploi
Une Notice d'emploi détaillée est disponible sur le
CD-ROM ou directement à partir du logiciel de
diagnostic STIHL.
.Sélectionner le bouton « Afficher la Notice
d'emploi » et cliquer sur « MDG 1 » – la Notice
d'emploi est ouverte.
La Notice d'emploi décrit aussi comment établir
manuellement une liaison Bluetooth®, si
l'établissement automatique d'une liaison
Bluetooth® n'est pas possible sur votre ordinateur.
6. Actualisation du logiciel de
diagnostic STIHL
Par suite du lancement de nouvelles machines et
d'extensions des fonctions de diagnostic, il est
nécessaire de procéder à une actualisation du
logiciel de diagnostic STIHL.
Des droits d'administrateur sont nécessaires –
6.1 Si l'ordinateur sur lequel le
logiciel de diagnostic STIHL est installé
possède un accès direct à Internet
.Sélectionner le bouton « Vérifier s'il y a une
actualisation » – l'actualisation a lieu
automatiquement.
6.2 Si l'ordinateur sur lequel le logiciel de
diagnostic STIHL est installé ne possède
pas d'accès à Internet :
Les données requises pour l'actualisation du
logiciel de diagnostic sont mises à disposition
par la succursale STIHL
Nota :
La version actuelle du logiciel de diagnostic STIHL
peut être également obtenue à l'adresse Internet :
https://download.stihl.com/sds/sdssetup.exe
Nom d'utilisateur : stihl\_stihl_sds_user
Mot de passe : STIHL_diagnose_download!
Après le téléchargement du fichier d'installation, ce
dernier peut être transféré sur l'ordinateur qui ne
possède pas d'accès Internet direct, soit par un
support de données externe (USB, CD, ...), soit via
le réseau.
7. Installation du logiciel de diagnostic
STIHL dans le réseau
Veuillez vous adresser à votre administrateur
système.
8. Commutation entre le logiciel de
diagnostic STIHL et le logiciel de
diagnostic VIKING
.Sélectionner le bouton « Changement de vue »
– le logiciel de diagnostic respectif s'ouvre.

.Colocar el CD-ROM en la unidad del ordenador
.Seleccionar la unidad y abrirla
.Con la tecla derecha del ratón hacer clic en
"SDSSetup.exe" y seleccionar "Ejecutar como
administrador"
.Introducir el usuario administrador e iniciar la
instalación

3. Conectar el analizador de
motores STIHL
3.1 En una caja de enchufe
.Elegir el adaptador de enchufe de red apropiado
y ponerlo en el alojamiento (1) de la fuente de
alimentación – se ha de oír encastrar el
adaptador
.Conectar el cable de conexión (1) al enchufe (B)
del MDG 1 y la hembrilla (2) de la fuente de
alimentación y atornillar las uniones por enchufe
.Enchufar la fuente de alimentación en la caja de
enchufe
3.2 Nuevo adaptador del acumulador del
analizador STIHL AAD 1
.Conectar el cable de conexión (1) al enchufe (B)
del MDG 1 y la hembrilla (2) del AAD 1 y
atornillar las uniones por enchufe
3.3 Autotest
Tras conectar el MDG 1 a la alimentación de
corriente se produce un autotest – el diodo (1) luce
permanentemente en verde: el autotest ha
concluido.

4. Conectar el analizador de motores
STIHL al ordenador
.Comprobar si el ordenador tiene hardware
Bluetooth® integrado y desactivarlo dado el
caso, p. ej. por medio de un interruptor del
cuaderno de notas o de las configuraciones de
la BIOS.
.Introducir el lápiz USB Bluetooth® en un lugar
de enchufe libre
Indicación
Emplear exclusivamente el lápiz USB Bluetooth®
suministrado y, antes de insertarlo por primera vez,
esperar a que haya concluido por completo la
instalación del controlador.
.Iniciar el software de diagnóstico STIHL y
esperar a que cambie la indicación en la barra
de estado de "Se está buscando MDG 1" a
"Se ha encontrado MDG 1"
.Hacer clic en el gráfico "MDG 1" – la barra de
estado muestra "MDG 1 conectado" y el
software de diagnóstico STIHL cambia a vista
"Preparación"
El diodo (1) luce permanentemente en azul – listo
para el servicio
El diodo (1) parpadea en azul – transmisión de
datos

En el CD-ROM o por medio del software de
diagnóstico STIHL mismo hay disponibles unas
instrucciones de manejo
.Seleccionar el botón "Visualizar las
instrucciones de manejo" y hacer clic en el
"MDG 1" – se abren las instrucciones de manejo
En las instrucciones de manejo se describe cómo
establecer manualmente una conexión Bluetooth®,
para el caso que no sea posible establecer
automáticamente la unión Bluetooth® en su
ordenador.
6. Actualizar el software de
diagnóstico STIHL
La introducción de nuevas máquinas y las
ampliaciones de las funciones de diagnóstico
requieren una actualización del software de
diagnóstico STIHL.
Se necesitan derechos de administrador.
6.1 El ordenador con software de diagnóstico
STIHL instalado dispone de acceso directo
para internet
.Seleccionar el botón "Comprobar la
actualización" – la actualización se realiza
automáticamente
6.2 El ordenador con el software de diagnóstico
STIHL instalado no dispone de acceso
directo a internet
Los datos para la actualización del software de
diagnóstico STIHL los pone a disposición la
sociedad distribuidora STIHL.
Indicación
La versión actual del software de diagnóstico STIHL
está disponible también en:
https://download.stihl.com/sds/sdssetup.exe
Nombre de usuario: stihl\_stihl_sds_user
Contraseña: STIHL_diagnose_download!
Tras descargar el archivo de instalación, éste se
puede pasar al ordenador sin conexión a internet
mediante algún dispositivo (USB, CD, ...) o la red.
7. Instalar el software de diagnóstico
STIHL en la red
Diríjase a su administrador del sistema.
8. Conmutar entre el software de
diagnóstico STIHL y el software de
diagnóstico VIKING
.Seleccionar el botón "Cambiar la vista" – se
abre el correspondiente software de diagnóstico

3. Priključiti dijagnostički uređaj za

3.1 na utičnicu
.Izabrati odgovarajući mrežni utikač za adapter
i gurnuti u prihvatnik (1) mrežnog uređaja –
adapter se mora čujno uključiti
.Priključni vod (1) spojiti s utikačem (B) uređaja
MDG 1 i čahure (2) mrežnog uređaja i zavijčati
zatične spojeve
.Mrežni uređaj gurnuti u utičnicu
3.2 Na dijagnostički uređaj s akumulatorom-
adapterom STIHL AAD 1
.spojiti priključni vod (1) s utikačem (B) uređaja
MDG 1 i čahure (2) uređaja AAD 1 i zavijčati
zatične spojeve
3.3 Samotestiranje
Nakon priključenja uređaja MDG 1 na opskrbu
strujom, događa se samotestiranje – svjetleća
dioda (1) svijetli trajno zeleno: samotestiranje je
završeno.

pr. preko sklopke na Notebooku ili na BIOS-

.Bluetooth® USB stik ugurati u slobodno USB

Na kraju upotrijebiti istovremeno isporučen
Bluetooth® USB stick i pri prvom uticanju pričekati
u potpunosti instalaciju uzbudnog pojačala.
.Startati dijagnostički software tvrtke STIHL
i pričekati, dok se pokazivanje na statusnoj
letvici ne promijeni od "MDG 1 se traži", na
"MDG 1 je nađen"
.Kliknuti na grafiku "MDG 1" – statusna letvica
pokazuje "MDG 1 je spojen" i dijagnostički
software tvrtke STIHL se mijenja u prikaz
"Priprema"
