When the temperature in the Coolbox reaches
below the set temperature, the flashing lights
change to steady state.
The low-battery light flashes when the input
voltage is low. Use the light to check the
battery condition.
Remove any objects blocking the air intake area
or air outlet vent. Also, make sure that the filter
is clean. If it is dirty, carry out maintenance
(see page 8).

to turn the power on or off.

The lid is equipped with a safety mechanism that slowly
closes it when it has been opened or closed. If the lid is half
open, the mechanism will not operate properly, and the lid
may shut forcibly under its own weight. Therefore, open and
close the lid gently to avoid getting your hand caught.
lTo avoid malfunction, the switches will only operate after being pressed for approximately one
second. Continue to press until a high-pitched tone is emitted.

Do not use the unit on a surface tilt-
ed more than 12 for it may result in
malfunction. Set up the unit in a lo-
cation that does not interfere with
driving.
Press the switch until you hear a high-
pitched tone and the power indicator lights
up (about one second).
The COOL-1 temperature light will flash
and the unit will begin operating.
Using the Product
1. Set the unit up on a flat surface with the lid facing up.
2. Start the engine.
3. Insert the DC plug into the DC power cable socket of the main unit.
4. Insert the DC cable power plug into the cigarette lighter socket.
5. Press the power button .
6. Press the temperature setting button for approximately one second
to set the desired temperature (refer to page 3 for each setting).
Caution
The unit will not operate at 24 V.
Align the protrusion of the DC socket with the
indentation in the DC power cable and insert. Inserting
the top and bottom in reverse will cause damage.
It is designed for 12 V only. Attaching it to
a 24 V source will cause damage.
When using this product together with other electrical
car products, be careful of the current capacity.
A vehicle fuse may blow.
The DC power cable has a (+) and (-).
This unit cannot be used in 24 V vehicles
(trucks, buses, etc.).
Be careful of the current capacity.
Too many leads in a single socket may cause a fire due to a short circuit, overheating by exceeding
the battery’s capacity, etc., resulting in malfunction or damage.
Be sure to connect to the DC plug when powering
the unit via the car power source.
Precautions and suggestions
lInsert the power plug as far as it will go.
lKeep the cigarette lighter socket clean. Poor contact will cause the contact area of the power
plug to become hot, and the operation of the product to stop or become unstable, resulting in
reduced performance.
lDo not use a cigarette lighter socket splitter or extension cable. The voltage will drop and the
unit may stop working.
Cautions and suggestions
lAfter turning the power off, the temperature setting will remain in memory for some time. If the
power remains off for several hours, the setting will return to COOL-1 when switched on again.
lCondensation may form on the outside of the unit depending on the environment it is being
used in. This may cause corrosion, so wipe away condensation as quickly as possible.
Condensation is a natural phenomenon, and is not a sign of malfunction.

unplugging the power cable.

lTo prevent spoilage from dipping water,
put water-sensitive items in a plastic bag,
etc., before storing.

lIf the air intake filter is dirty, product performance will be
hampered.
Clean the air intake area with a vacuum cleaner at least once a month.
lRemove stubborn dirt by rubbing gen-
tly with a commercially-available
brush.

lLay bottles on their side to prevent them
from falling and breaking.
When there are few items in the Coolbox
lDefrost the Coolbox regularly. Frost will form
on the inside of the Coolbox.
To defrost, turn off the power and wipe the
inside of the Coolbox with a soft cloth to re-
move moisture after the frost has thawed.

inal position to avoid

The filter cannot be com-
pletely removed. Clean after
pulling open for access.

3. Open the lid occasionally to refresh the air in the Coolbox.
For improved effectiveness, place a commercially-available deodorizer in the Coolbox.

Troubleshooting
Please check the following points
before requesting repairs.

Power button has not been pressed

Push the button until you hear a

There are ashes or dust in the ciga-
rette lighter socket.
Clean the cigarette lighter socket.
