Installation
TOOLS REQUIRED
•Drill with 3mm Drill Bit
•3/8 Tek Screw Drill Bit
•10mm Spanner
•Allen Key
Assemble the idler end mount. Align the slot to
match the gearbox mount, insert bolts in the
correct holes, then attach & tighten the nuts.
Check the slot is correctly aligned, so the roller
tube is level. Make sure the open end of the slot
will be facing up when installed (if it isn’t, the
roller tube will fall out). Check there will be
enough clearance above the brackets to install
the blind (it slots in from above).
2
Assemble the gearbox mount. Insert the bolts
through the correct holes for the desired
alignment, then attach & tighten the nuts.
Check the gearbox is correctly aligned. Will it
be on the left or right of the blind? Note: the
gearbox will need to be on an angle (as shown)
to ensure the winder handle is easy to use.

Mark the bracket mounting position. Consider:
- The blind is made the same width as the
roller tube, so make sure the gearbox
bracket is mounted outside where you want
the blind to go
- The brackets must be straight and level.
Remember: an alloy tube will go between
both brackets and the blind won’t roll up
correctly if it isn’t level
5
Slot roller tube inserts onto the brackets, as
shown.
4
Insert the idler pin. Secure by inserting the split
pin, as shown.

Ensure the roller tube inserts are slotted onto
the brackets. Take measurements for the roller
tube length and blind height (as shown) and
send to Straitline Canvas for manufacture.
Measurements need to be to the nearest
millimeter (mm) and show any ground slope.
Once done, remove the roller tube inserts to
store in a safe place until your blind is ready.
8
Attach both brackets to the wall, using the tek
screws provided. It may be easier to remove the
roller tube inserts for this step.
7
NOTE: this step is for mounting to timber only. If
you are mounting to steel, go to step 7.
Pre-drill all holes with a 3mm drill bit. Ensure
the screws will go into solid framing, not
cladding.
6
ground slope, if any
Measurements need
to be taken from the
inside of the lip on
each roller tube insert.
Please call us if you
unsure where this is.

Reinsert the idler end split pin, to lock the blind
into place.
11
Remove the split pin from the idler end mount.
Remove the idler pin and insert it into the idler
end of the roller tube (see image in step 9).
Mount the roller tube: insert the gearbox end
first, then slot in the idler end.
10
Insert the roller tube inserts into the correct
ends of the roller tube. Check the blind will be
facing the correct way around: the bottom bar
should be covered by a PVC flap on the outside
and exposed on the inside.

Installation
Leave the blind down for the Clear PVC to settle
out. Any wrinkles from manufacture should
settle out within 24-48 hours.
If the blind has picked up dust or dirt from
installation, refer to the cleaning instructions in
your user guide.
14
Using the tek screws supplied, mount the flush
rings in the marked locations.
Attach the snap hooks to the flush rings, before
back-tensioning the blind until it is ‘drum-tight’.
Back-tensioning means winding the blind up,
while it still attached to the flush rings, until it
is ‘drum-tight’.
13
Using the winder handle provided, wind the
blind down and mark the position of the flush
rings (on the ground directly below the snap
hooks on the bottom bar).
