Welcome to use SUNIX Azure IoT Central Gateway. It is designed to work with Microsoft
Azure IoT Central. The customer leverage SUNIX communication protocol for establishing
direct connections with Azure IoT cloud

1.1 Overview
The EZG1200 Azure IoT Central Gateway is designed to work with Microsoft Azure IoT
Central.
The customer leverage SUNIX communication protocol for establishing direct connections
with Azure IoT Central.
With Ethernet extensions, users can automate in an extremely easy way, allowing
companies to quickly introduce the Internet of Things to become more competitive.
The EZG1200 Azure IoT Central Gateway has the function of automatically enumerating
serial, digital and analogue IO devices, which can quickly search for terminal devices, thus
achieving plug-and-play functionality, allowing users to greatly improve the convenience of
system development.

2.3.2 System settings
◼Gateway name settings
1. Select System from the menu.
2. Only the Gateway name can be changed here. Other displayed information cannot
be changed.
3. Input the desired name and click Apply.
4. A pop-up window will display the settings status. The same pop-up will appear in
other settings as well.

◼Network settings
Gateway name settings
1. Displays current network settings status.
2. Set the IP Configuration as Static or DHCPIP.
3. In Static, users input relevant IP information according to their needs.
4. In DHCP, users cannot input IP information on their own and the system will instead
display the assigned IP information.

◼IoT Central connection information settings
1. Profile: Offers standard and various solution packs. [Note 1]
2. Connection Method: Offers two IoT Central connection methods.
IoT HUB: Connects through Connection String information.
IoT Central: Connects through ID Scope + Device ID + Primary Key. [Note 2]
Note 1: If the standard Profile is selected, Gateway will not automatically connect to a DP
and the user is required to configure connection settings according to their needs. If one
of the Profile solution packs is selected, GW will automatically connect to a compliant DP
according to the contents of the solution pack and will configure all relevant settings.
Note 2: The aforementioned information can be obtained from the IoT Central page.
Please refer to the Solution Pack Instructions below.

2.3.3 Device Port connection settings
◼Device Port search and connection
1. Select DevicePorts from the menu.
2. Preset or click Search.
3. The page will display the DP information searched by GW (Free: Not connected,
Connected: The DP is connected to GW, Other Connected: The DP is connected to
another device).
4. Check the Connect box next to a Free DP and then click Connect.

◼Disconnect a connected Device Port
1. Select Connected.
2. Check the Disconnect box next to a connected DP and then click Disconnect to
disconnect.

2.3.4 Interface settings
◼DP I/O Interfaces settings
1. Select Interfaces from the menu.
2. Preset or click Interfaces.
3. The page will display all I/O settings connected to DP.
4. Configure each I/O (I/O types include Serial, DIO, and AI), then click Config.
5. Click Serial and the UART Setting page above will appear.
6. Set and confirm if the settings need to be uploaded to Central.
7. Select whether Device Model needs to be applied.
8. The DI Settings page.

◼IoT Central Resource settings
1. Select Resource.
2. The I/O will display the Measurements and Settings according to the Central
definitions.
3. Click Config to set the information corresponding to IoT Central (Field Name).
4. Change the Field Name as shown above.

2.3.5 IoT Central Device Template
◼IoT Central Device Template
1. Select IoT Central Device Template from the menu.
2. The page will automatically display the information generated according to the I/O
settings in the IoT Central Resource settings. Its main function is to assist users to set
up recommended parameter configurations in IoT Central that corresponds to a
device.
3. Users can set up the corresponding Device Template in IoT Central according to the
contents of the page.

2.3.6 System update
1. Select Update from the menu.
2. Select the installed update file to update the entire GW system.
