Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimize the risk of injury we urge that our cli-
ents take some basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation in-
structions carefully and make sure you have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
This wave maker pump provides a natural simulation of waves like in the ocean and the imitation of
natural whirls and thus offers fish and other organisms living in the water a species-appropriate envir-
onment.
Before using this product, read the following instructions for use carefully and keep them.
Safety instructions
ATTENTION:
The use of the device is only permitted with a residual current circuit breaker with a triggering rated
current of up to 30>m (according to VDE 0100 parts 702 and 738).
This device is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensorial
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised or have
been instructed by a person responsible for their safety on how to use the device.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
ATTENTION:
Perform a visual inspection of the device before each use. Do not use the device if safety
devices are damaged or worn. Never suspend safety devices.
Only use the device in accordance with the intended use specified in these operating instruc-
tions.
You are responsible for the safety in the work area.
If the cable or plug is damaged due to external influences, it must not be repaired! It must be
exchanged for a new one. This work may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
The voltage of 230 volts alternating voltage indicated on the nameplate of the device must cor-
respond to the existing voltage.
The device must never be lifted, transported or attached by the power cord.
Make sure that the electrical plug connections are protected from flood and moisture.
Pull the power plug before working on the device.

If the device fails, repairs may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Warnings
ttention: please make sure that all pump parts are intact before switching on the wave
maker. Do not connect it to voltage supply sources whose voltage do not match the one indic-
ated on the device.
There must be no sand in the pump, otherwise component parts are destroyed. Pump dam-
age caused by sand is not covered by warranty.
Due to the strong magnetism it must be stored out of reach of children.
Place the magnets on the two sides of the aquarium wall. void putting your hands or fingers
between them as this can cause injury.
If the distance between the magnets and other metal parts or other magnets is only 5 cm, the
magnetism between them is very strong. To avoid injuries please keep a sufficient distance of
the pump magnets from narrow edges, sharp items and other magnets.
These magnets can cause permanent damage to electrical equipment or other devices for ex-
ample: pace makers, credit cards, keys. For this reason keep a 30 cm distance.
To avoid damaging the aquarium, please proceed when positioning the magnets as follows:
Do NOT move the magnets from both glass sides perpendicularly towards each other (Never
put the external and internal magnet directly together) but place them shifted from one another
and slide them across the glass till they join up.

Setting
1. Clean the aquarium before using the pump. Dirt on the aquarium glass panes prevents a cor-
rect installation. If the pump slips off it can damage itself or the glass walls of the aquarium
(dirt can impair the grip of the magnet/suction attachments). To avoid disruptions caused by
noise and vibrations the pump should be fixed under the water surface (see illustration 1).
2. Remove the cable and separate the two magnets.
3. Install the magnet at the pump by fixing the rotatable axis into (11) the back part (5) of the
wave maker with the O-rings (12) to the support (6).
4. Immerse the pump fully in the water and put it one the position you with it to have. Press the
two magnets against your aquarium glass to hold the wave maker in place. Place the external
magnet against the glass but not directly against or near the wave maker unit inside the tank.
5. Then slide the external magnet across the glass wall till it meets the internal magnet (see illus-
tration 2).
6. Then install the control panel in the desired location. Tip: If you also want to attach the control
panel to the aquarium, it is best to use double-sided adhesive tape.
7. Connect the pump housing to the control unit using the three-pin connector. Connect the dir-
ect current plug to the control unit. Connect the alternating current adapter to the wall socket.
Important: The magnets are very strong and should be handled with care and caution. Do not release
or drop the external magnet at a distance against your glass or internal magnet because this could
lead to damage of your fish tank.

Attention
1. Make sure that the pump does not run dry.
2. Only connect the device to the power supply after installation.
3. The control unit and the mains plug must not come into contact with liquids; hence, a drip loop
is absolutely necessary.
4. The pump, the system control unit and the power plug must not be modified or disassembled.

1. Key functions:
MODE/FEED: With a simple push you get to the selection menu; hold this button down for a
longer time to enter feeding mode.
NIGHT/LOCK: With a simple push you get into night mode; long press this button to enter lock
mode.
The wave cycle and the type of wave can be set using the “Time function key” in the left half of the
control panel. The function key for the flow in the right half of the control panel controls the capa-
city.
2. Mode functions:
Wave mode (A): The "Time controller" function key and the "Flow controller" function key regulate
the flow and waveform. Turning the time control clockwise extends the wavelength. The flow regu-
lator can also affect the swing of the wave. By turning the “time regulator” counter-clockwise, the
wavelength becomes shorter.
Note: It is advisable to fine-tune the “time controller” after the flow controller has been set to max -
imum. The device should be observed for at least 10 seconds after each fine-adjustment.
Random mode (B): Hereby the power of the wave is changed at random. The flow and waveform
are also randomly influenced.
Constant flow mode (C): Hereby the malfunction pump ensures a constant flow. The continuous
flow is set via the flow regulator.
Feeding mode: Press the “MODE/FEED” button longer, the display now shows “10 Min.”, which
means that the flow pump is paused for 10 minutes; now you can feed the fish. fter 10 minutes,
the flow pump automatically returns to the mode last set. To reset the flow pump to operation, hold
down “MODE/FEED” until the display goes out.
3. Night/Lock functions:
Night mode: simple push of the button “NIGHT/LOCK” causes the night light to light up; the
flow pump changes to night mode: While working according to the respective setting during the
day, it works with minimum power at night. To exit night mode, simply press the “NIGHT/LOCK”
button. The night light switches off.
Lock mode: Holding down the “NIGHT/LOCK” button causes the “LOCK” display to light up and
the wavemaker pump to save the waveform and flow settings. To set the waveform and current
again, press “NIGHT/LOCK” until the display disappears.
Maintenance
Regularly clean and maintain the pump and related parts to extend their life. To do this, proceed as
follows:
1. Disconnect the pump from the power supply by carefully pulling the plug out of the socket.
2. Take the pump out of the water. To do this, grab the pump unit in the water with one hand and
the magnet on the outer wall of the aquarium with the other. Carefully slide both magnets
away from each other.
3. Carefully open the pump unit. The rotor cover can be removed by sliding the lock on the pump
body. Clean it with a soft cloth and rinse the pump housing well with water.
4. Carefully clean the individual elements, do not use detergents or impregnating agents!
5. fter cleaning, the pump must be reassembled in reverse order. Make sure that the two
grooves fit together and that the shaft sits correctly.

6. Please use a dry cloth to clean the control panel if it is wet.
Important:
This device is only suitable for indoor use. The control panel and adapter must always be kept dry.
When connecting the cable to the socket, there must be a drip loop so that water running down the
cable from the aquarium cannot get into the socket.
