Know Your Blower
The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the tool and in this
operator's manual as well as knowledge of the action you are attempting. Before use of this
product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules.
MAIN BLOWER TUBE
The main blower tube can be easily installed on blower without any additional tools.
CORD RETAINER
A convenient cord retainer helps keep extension cord connection secure during blower
operation.
Do not use this product if any parts on the Packing List are already assembled to your product
when you unpack it. Parts on this list are not assembled to the product by the manufacturer
and require customer installation. Use of a product that may have been improperly assembled
could result in serious personal injury.
If any parts are damaged or missing do not operate this product until the parts are replaced.
Use of this product with damaged or missing parts could result in serious personal injury.
Do not attempt to modify this product or create accessories not recommended for use with this
product. Any such alteration or modification is misuse and could result in a hazardous condition
leading to possible serious personal injury.
Do not connect to power supply until assembly is complete. Failure to comply could result in
accidental starting and possible serious personal injury.

When using electric garden tools, basic safety precautions, including the following, should
always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury.

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury
1. When servicing use only approved replacement parts.
2. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other) and will require the use of a polarized extension cord. The appliance plug
will fit into a polarized extension cord one way only. If the plug does not fit fully into the
extension cord, reverse the plug. If the plug still does not fit, obtain a correct polarized
extension cord. Do not change the plug on the product in any way. Tampering and/or
modification of the plug will void manufacturer warranty for the product.
3. Avoid dangerous environment.
• Do not use appliances in damp or wet locations.
• Do not use in the rain.

6. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry while operating product. They can be caught in moving
parts. Use of work gloves and appropriate footwear is recommended when working
outdoors. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
7. Use safety gear: eye/face protection, dust mask, and ear protection should be worn while
operating this product.
8. Connect product to sockets with integrated ground fault circuit Interrupter (GFCI).
9. Warning: to reduce the risk of electric shock, use only with an extension cord intended for
outdoor use, such as an extension cord of type SJTW.
10. Extension cord: make sure your extension cord is in good condition when using an
extension cord, be sure to use one of sufficient gauge to carry the current your product will
draw. An undersized extension cord will cause a drop in line voltage resulting in loss of
power and overheating.
11. Avoid unintentional starting: Don't carry plugged-in appliance with finger on switch. Be sure
switch is off when plugging in.
12. Do not abuse cord: never carry appliance by cord or yank it to disconnect from receptacle.
Keep cord from heat, oil and sharp edges.
13. Do not grasp the exposed cutting blades or cutting edges when picking up or holding the
appliance.
14. Do not force appliance: it will do the job better with less likelihood of a risk of injury at the
rate for which it was designed.
15. Don't overreach: maintain proper footing and balance at all times.
16. Stay alert: watch what you are doing, use common sense. Do not operate appliance when
you are tired.
17. Disconnect Appliance: disconnect the appliance from the power supply when not in use,
before servicing, when changing accessories such as blades and the like.
18. Store idle appliances indoors: when not in use, appliances should be stored indoors in dry
and high or locked-up place-out of reach of children.
19. Maintain appliance with care: keep cutting edge sharp and clean for best performance and
to reduce the risk of injury. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if damaged. Keep handles dry, clean, and
free from oil and grease.

20. Check Damaged Parts: Before further use of the appliance, guards or other part that is
damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform
its intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts, mounting, and any other condition that may affect its operation. Guards
or other part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized
service center unless indicated elsewhere in this manual.
21. Do not leave appliance unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use
and before servicing.
22. Not to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
23. Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attach-
ments.
24. Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
25. Do not put any object into openings or vents. Do not use while any opening is blocked;
keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.

SERVlClNG OF DOUBLE-lNSULATED APPLIANCES
In a double-insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding.
Proper servicing of double-insulated appliance(s) requires extreme care and knowledge of the
system and should be done only by qualified service personnel.
Replacement parts for a double-insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they replace.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug(one blade is wider than
the other).
This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the
plug in any way.
Work area
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can result in
injury to operators or bystanders.

Electrical safety
• Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with earthed(grounded)power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will
reduce risk of electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators
Personal safety
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool.
Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or
medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious
personal injury to yourself or others.
• Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as a dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
• Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the tool on. A wrench or a key that is left
attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.

UNPACKING
This product requires assembly.
• Carefully remove the product and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items
listed in the packing list are included.
• Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.
• Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily
operated the product.
• If any parts are damaged or missing please call Customer service for assistance.
Extension cord
1) Polarized Appliance Connections
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other) and will require the use of a polarized extension cord. The appliance plug will
fit into a polarized extension cord only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the extension
cord, reverse the plug. If the plug still does not fit, obtain a correct polarized extension cord.
A polarized extension cord will require the use of a polarized wall outlet. This plug will fit into
the polarized wall outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the wall outlet reverse
the plug. If the plug still does not fit contact a qualified electrician to install the proper wall
outlet. Do not change the equipment plug, extension cord receptacle or extension cord plug
in any way.
2) Use cord in the way showed in following table and figure.

Check extension cords before each use. If damaged replace immediately.
Never use product with a damaged cord since touching the damaged area could cause
electrical shock resulting in serious injury.

Assembly
Plug upper blow tube 2 into lower blow tube 3 (fig. A-1)

Start-up
- Each time before you use the device, check that the mains plug, and mains lead are
undamaged.
- Insert the extension cable into the strain relief
- Move the switch to position 0,
- Plug in the mains plug.
Switch on
Point the suction tube downwards when operating the device. We recommend running the
mains lead towards the rear over your shoulder.
- Move the switch to position 1, for the minimum speed fig. B.
- Move the switch to position 2, for the maximum speed fig. C.
OPERATION
Do not allow familiarity with products to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction
of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury.
Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1, along with
hearing protection. Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes,
resulting in possible serious injury.
Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer of this
product. The use of attachments or accessories not recommended can result in serious
personal injury.

APPLICATIONS
You may use this product for the purposes listed below:
• Clearing leaves and other yard debris from your lawn
• Keeping decks, patios, garages and driveways free from leaves, pine needles and other
debris
STARTING/STOPPING THE BLOWER
Attach the outlet end of an extension cord to the plug on the rear of the blower.
NOTE: Use only an approved outdoor extension cord as described previously in this manual.
Route the extension cord through the side of the loop located on the rear of the blower housing
and place underneath the cord retainer.
To start the blower, place the power switch in the 1 or 2 position.
To stop the blower, place the power switch in the 0 position.
OPERATING THE BLOWER
• To keep from scattering debris, blow around the outer edges of a debris pile. Never blow
directly into the center of a pile.
• To reduce sound levels, limit the number of pieces of equipment used at any one time.
• Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before blowing. In dusty conditions, slightly dampen
surfaces when water is available.
• Watch out for children, pets, open windows, or freshly washed cars, and blow debris safely
away.
• Hold the blower with the handle in your right hand. (Proper operating position is shown in
figure 12.)
• Operate power equipment at reasonable hours only-- not early in the morning or late at night
when people might be disturbed. Comply with the times listed in local ordinances.
• After using blowers or other equipment, CLEAN UP! Dispose of debris properly.
• Attach the outlet end of an extension cord to the plug on the rear of the blower.
• NOTE: Use only an approved outdoor extension cord as described previously in this manual.
• Route the extension cord through the side of the loop located on the rear of the blower
housing and place underneath the cord retainer.
• To start the blower, place the power switch in the 1 or 2 position.
• To stop the blower, place the power switch in the 0 position.

MAINTENANCE
When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a
hazard or cause product damage.
Before inspecting, cleaning or servicing the machine, unplug the power cord and wait for all
moving parts to stop. Failure to follow these instructions can result in serious personal injury or
property damage.
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc.,
come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastic, which
may result in serious personal injury.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from
various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean clothes to
remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
STORAGE (1 MONTH OR LONGER)
~ Clean all foreign materials from the blower.
~ Store indoors in a place that is out of reach of children. Keep away from corrosive agents
such as garden chemicals and de-icing salts.
