Countdown timer setting
1. Press the ‘ON/TIMER’ button to enter
weighing mode. The scale is ready for use
when ‘0’ appears.
2. To set the countdown timer, press ‘ON/-
TIMER’ once again. You are in ‘countdown
setting’ mode when ‘00:00’ is displayed.
3. Press the up or down arrows to set the
number of minutes required.
Maximum time span: 99 minutes only.
4. Once done, press the ‘ON/TIMER’ button
again to move from ‘minutes’ to ‘seconds’.
Use the up or down arrows to set the number
of seconds required.
5. When this is done, press ‘ON/TIMER’ once
again to activate countdown.
6. The alarm sounds off when countdown
reaches zero. To silence the alarm, press the
‘ON/TIMER’ button.
7. You may resume weighing whilst count-
down is taking place, by pressing ‘ON/TIMER’
again. This will take you back to weighing
mode.
Note that once countdown time has been set,
you cannot change it.
If necessary, remove the battery momentarily
and re-install. Then reset the Timer.
Weighing
1. Place the scale on a hard, level surface.
If you intend using a bowl, place it on the
platform first before turning the scale on.
2. Press the ‘ON/TIMER’ button to enter
weighing mode. The scale is ready for use
when ‘0’ appears.
3. The scale displays in grams (g) or
pounds (lb). To select/change
the unit measure, press the
‘Unit/Up Arrow button.’
4. Put the item to be weighed in the bowl or
on the platform - the weight will appear on
the display
5. If no further weighing is carried out
within the next half minute, the scale
automatically turns off.
To use the Tare function
This scale allows the separate weighing of
items as each item is added to the scale. No
need to empty your bowl.
After weighing the first item, press the ‘TARE’
button to reset the display to zero.
With the first item still on the platform or in a
bowl or container, add the second item. The
Function Buttons
UNIT/
readout will now show the weight of the
second item only. Repeat these steps if you
have additional items to weigh. The total
combined weight of the items must not
exceed the capacity of the scale, which is
5000g / 11lb.
The total weight of the items on the scale,
(including the container or bowl if using one),
can be retrieved by pressing the ‘TARE’
button again and then removing all items off
the scale. The total weight will be displayed
as a negative number.
Caring for your Scale
The 3L capacity bowl is not suitable for
use in the microwave oven.
To clean it, place in the dishwasher or
handwash in warm soapy water. Then
rinse and dry thoroughly.
Clean the scale with a damp, soft cloth
using a mild detergent or non-abrasive
household cleaner. Do not allow water to
get inside the scale as this could damage
the electronics.
Remove the battery if the scale is not being
used for a long period of time.
