9. OPERATION GUIDE
Switching On
• To switch on subwoofer, plug power cable (i, fig. 1) of subwoofer into the mains outlet. Adjust
volume level to its minimum by turning VOLUME control knob (b, fig. 1) on the front panel of
subwoofer counterclockwise as far as it would go. Shift POWER On/Offswitch into ON position g
the rear panel of subwoofer. Adjust volume level by turning VOLUME control knob bon the front
panel of subwoofer or by pressing buttons MASTER+ or MASTER– (g, fig. 3) on remote control
(see fig. 3). If HTSS is in the MUTE mode of temporal shutdown of sound, press MUTE button (a,
fig. 3) on remote control to turn on sound.
• To select between stereo and 5.1-channel sound source, it is necessary to press button 5.1/2.1
(c, fig. 3) on the remote control alternately.
General volume control
• By pressing MASTER (g, fig. 3) buttons («+» or «– ») on the remote control, it is possible to
adjust (to increase / to decrease) the level of general volume of the system. General volume control
possible also can be adjusted by the knob bon the front panel of subwoofer.
Volume control of center and rear satellites and subwoofer
• For properly adjusting volume level of center (CENTER) and rear (REAR) satellites and
subwoofer, use buttons d, eand f(«+» or «– ») on the remote control to adjust volume level of
corresponding channels. Volume level of channels and HF level can be also adjusted by knobs a
and c(fig. 5) on the control panel of subwoofer.
• By pressing button SR (b, fig. 3) on the remote control while listening to stereo signal, center
and rear channels (Surround mode) start working, which produces an impression of dimensional
sound.
Mute feature
Press MUTE button (a, fig. 3) on the remote control or the same button on control panel of
subwoofer to temporarily turn offthe sound. Press this button again to turn on the sound.
Notes:
• If HTSS has not been used for a long time, please mind to switch off g(position OFF) on
the subwoofer rear panel and unplug it.
• To enhance sound quality, use Line-Out output of sound card.
