UNPACKING
Unpack the device carefully. Make sure there are no accessories left in the box. Check up the
device for damages; if the product was damaged during transportation, address the firm which
carried out the delivery; if the product functions incorrectly, address the dealer at once.
ATTENTION!
Do not switch on acoustic system immediately after you bring it in a room from environment with
negative temperature!
Unpacked acoustic system should be placed in conditions of room’s temperature at least 4 hours.

1. DESCRIPTION
HT-470 Home Theatre Speaker System 5.1 (HTSS) is designed for playing music and sounding
games, movies etc., as well as being used as radio tuner. Due to built-in amplifier speaker system
can be connected to any audio source. Remote control is included.
2. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
•To avoid electric shock do not open HTSS and do not perform repairs by yourself.
•Do not allow circuit of wires (including grounded ones) between speakers, power amplifier or
ground, for it causes damage of power amplifier output stage.
•Do not put foreign objects inside the holes of HTSS. Make sure that needles, hair pins, coins,
insects etc. do not get inside.
•Protect HTSS from high humidity, water and dust. Do not locate it in areas with high level of
humidity and dust.
•Protect HTSS from heating: do not locate it near a heat source or expose to direct sunlight.
•Do not use gasoline, alcohol or other solvents when cleaning, since they may damage stained
surface of HTSS. Clean it with dry soft cloth only.
•If HTSS does not operate, unplug it and refer to service personnel.

4. SPECIAL FEATURES

5. LOCATING
• Place satellites symmetrically to the listener at a distance not less than one meter. Central
speaker should be located above or below TV set, monitor etc., so that it is directed straightly at the
listener. Subwoofer emits non-directional sound, therefore it can be located in any place of the
room, where it will sound to the best advantage.
• Place speaker system far away from TV sets, as insignificant image distortion in supersensitive
monitors and TV sets is possible.
• When locating satellites and subwoofer, it is recommended to follow the diagram given below.

8. INSTALLATION
Connecting satellites to subwoofer
• Before connecting make sure that speaker system is switched off. Connect built-in acoustic
cables, as shown in fig. 4. Please note that red (+) terminals of satellites should be connected to
red terminals of subwoofer (+ →+), while black (–) terminals of speakers should be connected to
black terminals of subwoofer (– →–).
• Check for absence of contact between bared wires and metal parts of equipment.
• Accuracy and reliability of connection of cables directly affects quality of sound.
7. REMOTE CONTROL
Remote control battery installation
• Open battery compartment on rear panel of remote
control.
• Install batteries from the set matching polarity.
• Close battery compartment.
Notes:
• Use remote control at an angle not less than
30 degrees at a distance not less than 7 meters.
• Direct remote control at infrared receiver display
on subwoofer.
• If remote control is not working, check for
batteries and replace discharged batteries for new
ones.
• Pull out batteries from remote control, if you are
not going to use them for a long time (more than a
week).

Connecting to audio source
HT-470 Home Theatre Speaker System 5.1 (HTSS) can be attached to virtually any audio source
(see connection diagram, fig. 5).
• Before connecting, make sure that the device is unplugged.
• To connect the speakers to VCD/DVD/VHS-player or TV use the stereo signal cables 2RCA to
2RCA (included). To connect HTSS to PC sound card, МР3/CD it is necessary to use signal cable
2RCA to 2RCA together with adapter 2RCA to mini-jack 3,5 mm (included). Be sure to connect left
and right channels. Left RCA-jacks should be inserted into left ports of amplifier (usually white),
and right RCA-jacks should be inserted into right ports of amplifier (usually red).
Note. Accuracy and reliability of connection of cables directly affects quality of sound.
Check for absence of contact between bared wires and metal parts of equipment.

8. OPERATION GUIDE
Switching On
• To switch on subwoofer, plug power cord (p, fig. 2) of subwoofer into the mains outlet. Adjust
Master volume control knob (d, fig. 1) on the front panel of subwoofer to its minimum by turning it
counterclockwise as far as it would go, and then shift POWER switch (o, fig. 2) into ON position on
the rear panel of subwoofer. Adjust control knobs of general volume, front channel volume, center
channel volume, rear channel volume to the required level. If HTSS is on STANDBY mode or its
sound is temporarily turned off, press STANDBY button (a, fig. 3) on the remote control or press
MUTE button b, to turn on the system.
• To select between stereo and 5.1-channel sound source, it is necessary to press MODE button
(i, fig. 3).
• To turn on audio sources connected to the РС, AUX or 5.1 СН inputs, press corresponding
buttons f, gor hon the remote control (or press buttons h, ior jon the front panel of
subwoofer). According to the selected source, LED indicators of DVD (5.1) e, PC for AUX gwill
illuminate on the subwoofer control panel.
General volume control
• By pressing VOL+ or VOL– buttons (k, fig. 3) on the remote control, it is possible to adjust (to
increase / to decrease) the level of general volume of the system. General volume control also can
be adjusted by Master volume control knob (d, fig. 1) on the front panel of subwoofer
Volume control of center, front and rear channels and subwoofer channel
• For properly adjusting volume levels of center, front and rear channels and subwoofer channel
use buttons c, d, eor j(«+» or «–») on the remote control to adjust volume level of
corresponding channels. Volume level of center, rear satellites and subwoofer can be also adjusted
by such knobs: Center b, Rear cand Subwoofer a(see fig. 1) on the control panel of
subwoofer.
Mute feature
• Press MUTE button (b, fig. 3) on the remote control to temporarily turn offthe sound. Press this
button again to turn on the sound.
Notes:
• If HTSS has not been used for a long time, please mind to shift Power switch ointo OFF
position on the subwoofer rear panel and pull the plug of power cord pfrom the mains
socket.
• To enhance sound quality, use Line-Out output of sound card.
• Although three audio inputs of HTSS can be connected at the same time, only one audio
input will work: 5.1CH, AUX, PC.

10. TROUBLE SHOOTING
If none of the above methods can not solve the problem, please seek professional advice at your
nearest service center. Never attempt to repair the product yourself.
Problem
HTSS does not
turn on.
No sound.
There is too quiet
sound of speakers.
Distortion of
sound.
Sound is produced
by one of the
channels only.
Remote control is
not working.
Cause
HTSS is not connected to the mains outlet.
Power switch is off.
Volume level is set at minimum value.
Improperly connected audio source.
Volume level is set at minimum value.
Large amplitude of the input signal.
Improperly connected speakers to audio
source.
The batteries is discharged.
There is direct sunlight.
Obstacle between remote control and
subwoofer receiver.
Solution
Check the connection.
Turn on the switch.
Adjust volume control knob.
Connect audio sources correctly.
Adjust volume control knob.
Turn down source volume
and HTSS volume.
Check the connection of
speakers.
Change batteries for new one.
Change location of subwoofer or
remote control.
Change the subwoofer or remote
control location.
