Cleaning Module-II
Product Description
1. Product Description
The Cleaning Module-II can be used together with the following
monitors:
AMI Codes-II
AMI Codes-II CC
AMI Codes-II TC
AMI Phosphate-II
AMI Phosphate HL
AMI SAC254
Usually two cleaning solutions are used: In a first step, an acid is in-
jected into the flow cell to remove lime. In a second step, a disinfec-
tant is injected.
Alternatively, operation with only one cleaning solution is possible.
Requirements Version 1-D of the Cleaning Module-II requires that the following
firmware version is installed on the monitor:
AMI Codes-II: V6.22 or higher
AMI Codes-II CC: V6.23 or higher
AMI Codes-II TC: V6.21 or higher
AMI Phosphate-II: V6.21 or higher
AMI Phosphate HL: V6.22 or higher
AMI SAC254: V6.22 or higher

If only one cleaning solution is used, channel 11 (canister and sole-
noid valve on the right side) is pumped.
Make the following modifications to the tube connections:
1Remove all tubes (pump tube, reagent tubes) belonging to
channel 12.
2Disconnect the tube leading to the monitor from the distribution

5. Cleaning agents
Typical cleaning agents are:
2.5% javel - for disinfection (container 11)
2.5% sulfuric acid (H2SO4) or phosphoric acid (H3PO4) - for
removing calcification (container 12)
NOTICE: The cleaning agents are not included in delivery.
Please buy them from your local chemical supplier.
• Please observe the necessary security measures when
manipulating dangerous chemicals. Read the Safety Data
Sheets carefully!
• Prepare the cleaning agents as prescribed.
Consumption
of cleaning
agents
A cleaning cycle takes 5 minutes per cleaning agent.
Per cleaning cycle and container about 5 ml of cleaning agent is
consumed.
Warning
Javel:

6.1. Stop of Operation for Maintenance
1Put the suction lances into a bucket with clean water.
2Manually start a fill cycle on both channels:
<Maintenance>/<Cleaning>/<Fill channel 11>.
<Maintenance>/<Cleaning>/<Fill channel 12>.
3Remove the suction lances from the water.
6.2. Replace the Pump Tubes
The pump tubes [D] of the peristaltic pump are exposed to a mini-
mal wear. It is therefore recommended to exchange the pump
tubes annually.
