2.1. Firmware Upload
Only Swan trained and authorized personnel should perform the
tasks described in this section.
Note: This method updates the AMU-II transmitter firmware with
all files with the extension *.a37 and *.hex that are present in the
root directory of the USB stick.
Preparations Since all data and settings are deleted during the firmware upload,
perform the following steps beforehand:
1Write down all customer-specific firmware settings (parameters
for instrument operation, configuration of signal outputs and re-
lays etc.).
2Download logger, message list and cal. history.
Start upload 1 Copy all files you need (“aout.a37”; “.hex) to the root directory of
the USB stick.
2Insert the USB stick into the USB socket of the transmitter.
3Navigate to <Installation>/<Miscellaneous>/<Load Firmware>.
Press [Enter] and select “yes”.
The firmware upload starts. After the upload has been
finished, the AMU-II transmitter restarts.
4Navigate to <Installation>/<Miscellaneous>/<Set defaults>,
press [Enter] and select “completely”.
5Press [Enter], [Exit] and confirm with “yes”.
The AMU-II transmitter restarts and all settings are set to
factory defaults.
6Enter the customer-specific settings according to the notes
taken.
