LIMITED WARRANTY
The manufacturer’s warranty to the original consumer purchaser is: This product is free from
defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one ( ) year from the date of purchase by
the original consumer purchaser. We will repair or replace, at our discretion, parts found to be
defective due to materials or workmanship. This warranty is subject to the following limitations
and exclusions:
) Engine Warranty All engines utilized on our products have a separate warranty
extended to them by the individual engine manufacturer. Any
engine service difficulty is the responsibility of the engine
manufacturer and in no way is Swisher Mower Co., Inc. or its
agents responsible for the engine warranty. The Briggs & Stratton
Engine Service Hot-Line is -800-233-3723. The Transmission
Service Hot-Line is -800-558-5402.
2) Commercial Use The warranty period for any product used for commercial or rental
is limited to ninety (90) days from the date of original purchase.
3) Limitations This warranty applies only to products which have been properly
assembled, adjusted, and operated in accordance with the
instructions contained within this manual. This warranty does not
apply to any product of Swisher Mower Co., Inc., that has been
subject to alteration, misuse, abuse, improper assembly or
installation, shipping damage, or to normal wear of the product.
4) Exclusions
Excluded from this warranty are normal wear, normal adjustments,
and normal maintenance.
In the event you have a claim under thi
s warranty, you must return the product to an authorized
service dealer. All transportation charges, damage, or loss incurred during transportation of parts
submitted for replacement or repair under this warranty shall be borne by the purchaser. Should
you have any questions concerning this warranty, please contact us toll-free at -800-222-
8 83.
The model number, serial number, date of purchase, and the name of the authorized Swisher
dealer from whom you purchased the product will be needed before any w
arranty claim can be
processed.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE LIMITED TO THE SAME TIME
PERIODS STATED HEREIN FOR ALL EXPRESSED WARRANTIES. Some states do not
allow the limitation of
consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty
may last, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you
specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state-to-state. This
is a
limited warranty as defined by the Magnuson-Moss Act of 975.

OPERATING YOUR NEW PC-300
INTENDED USE
• This machine is designed for moving objects and other materials normally moved by a
wheelbarrow.
• The three-speed transaxle system with engagement bail and forward/reverse
control delivers smooth steady performance.
• The dump latch allows for easy dumping and offers a spring-loaded return of the
latch mechanism when the bed is returned from the dump position.
• The PC-300 is designed to carry 300 pounds- DO NOT EXCEED
MANUFACTURER’S SET WEIG T LIMIT!
Assembly of PC 300
• Remove PC300 from crate. Be careful not to damage the idler cable (item 3 , p 8).
• Align holes in handle and frame and bolt together using; (4) NB604, 3/8 – 6 X ”
bolt, (8) NB27 , 3/8 USS washer, (4) NB 82, 3/8 – 6 Nyloc nut.
• Bolt bed lift handle to bed using; (4) NB604, 3/8 – 6 X bolt, (4) NB272, 3/8 SAE
washer and (4) NB27 , 3/8 USS washer, (4) NB 82, 3/8 – 6 Nyloc nut. Place the
smaller washer (NB272) on the outside of the handle.
• Assemble (2) NB 39, ¼ - 20 hex nuts to modified J-bolts (item 26, p 8), nuts should
be tightened against the end of the bolt threads. Reference Shift Rod/Handle detail
p. 8 and secure J-bolts to the handle, shift rod weldment (item 25, p 8) and shift rod
half (item 3, p 9) using (2) NB 80, ¼ - 20 Nyloc nuts.
The operation of any equipment can encounter foreign objects which could be
thrown into the eyes, resulting in severe eye damage. Always wear certified safety
glasses or wide-vision safety goggles over spectacles before starting machine and
while operating such a machine.
The operation of any engine produces sound waves that are damaging to the
human ear. Ear protection is recommended.
CAUTION!
Tragic accidents can occur if the operator is not alert to the presence of
children. Children are often attracted to the machine and the hauling
activity. Never assume that children will remain where you last saw them.
SLOPE OPERATION!
Use extra caution when operating on slopes. Operate self-propelled units
up and down slopes. There is a significant risk of overturns when
operating across slopes. If you feel uneasy on a slope then do not
operate on it.

STOPPING T E ENGINE
• Slide the throttle into the
“STOP” position.
STARTING T E ENGINE
• Remove any built-up debris from
engine.
• Check oil & fuel.
• Prime engine as directed. Note:
A warm engine may not need to
be primed.
• Slide throttle into “FAST”
position.
• Pull engine coil rope. Do not pull
recklessly.
• Adjust throttle to desired engine
RPM. For maximum results,
operate in the full throttle
position.
PREPARING FOR FIRST USE
• Check engine crankcase for oil.
Check with engine dipstick. Do
not overfill. See engine manual
for proper oil level.
• Fill fuel tank with fresh gasoline.
Never fill tank in an enclosed
area!
• Start engine as directed above.
• Stop engine.
BEGIN USING
• Make sure area is clear of all
bystanders.
• Make sure that all guards, belt
guides, and the spark plug wire
are properly attached.
• Adjust handle height. Loosen black
plastic knob on each side of the
control panel. Move handle to
desired height. Retighten black
plastic knobs.
• Start engine, setting desired
engine speed. Note: This
machine is designed to operate at
maximum engine speed.
• Start by shifting the unit into a
low gear. Begin forward
movement by slowly lifting
control bail toward handle. To
stop the unit, release the bail and
move the shift lever into the
neutral position.
BACKING T E UNIT
• Always look behind and down to
avoid obstacles and tripping.
• Shift lever into reverse position
and slowly lift control bail
towards handle. To stop the unit,
release the bail and move the
shift lever into neutral.
SUGGESTED PRACTICES
• Do not operate cart if it vibrates
abnormally. Excessive vibration
is a sign of damage. Stop the
engine and safely check for
damage. Repair as necessary.
• Do not operate the cart with the
dump bed in the up (dump)
position.
CAUTION!
SHUT OFF ENGINE AND REMOVE
WIRE FROM SPARK PLUG BEFORE
MAKING ANY ADJUSTMENTS TO
THE UNIT.
CAUTION!
TO ENSURE SAFE OPERATION, THE
OPERATOR MUST HOLD THE
HANDLEBARS WITH BOTH HANDS.

days, prepare as directed below :

container
• S tart engine and run u ntil unit is
com pletely ou t of fuel. R em oving fuel
prevents gu m dep osits from fo rm ing
inside carburetor. G u m depo sits can
cause th e engin e to m alfunction.
• Let engine cool.
SEA SO N A L M A IN T E N A N C E
• R eplace th e spark plug.
• C lean or rep lace th e air filter and fuel .
• C hange oil.
• C heck belts, tires, hardw are, etc. for w ear
and dam age. R epair as necessary.
N O T E : N ew spark plug, clean air filter, and
clean fuel filter insure proper air-fuel m ixture
and h elp the en gine p erform better and last
longer.
B E FO R E E A C U S E
• C heck and fill engine oil on a level
surface. If oil appears black or so iled,
change im m ediately.
• C heck con dition of filters, spark plug,
tires, etc. C lean or replace if necessary.
• C heck for loose hardw are and tighten as
needed .

• T he belt tension is adjusted by turning the
cable trun nion o n the idler cable located
under the con trol p anel.
• P ull hairpin and rem ove w asher from
cab le trunnion.
• P ull trunn ion out of the ho le in the
handle.
• T urn trunnio n tow ard op erator to
increase belt tension.
• Insert the trunnion into th e han dle.
• R eplace w asher and hairpin.
• R econnect spark plug w ire.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS & DECALS
• Read the manual. Learn to operate this machine safely.
• Always disconnect the spark plug wire and place the wire where it cannot contact
the spark plug, to prevent accidental starting the engine when setting up,
transporting, adjusting or making repairs.
• Keep all shields and guards in place.
• Understand the speed, steering and stability of this machine. Know the positions
and operations of all controls before you operate this machine. Check all of the
controls in a safe area before starting to work with this machine.
• Allow only responsible adults who are familiar with these instructions to operate
this machine. Never allow children to operate this machine.
• Clear the area of objects such as rocks, toys, wire, etc. that can cause the cart to
become unbalanced and tip over.
•
Never assume that children will remain where you last saw them.
Keep
children under the watchful care of another responsible adult.
• No riders!
• Do not put hands or feet near or under rotating parts.
• Always look down and behind before and while backing.
• Watch for traffic when operating near or crossing roadways.
• Do not operate the cart if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner or if the
cart vibrates excessively. Excessive vibration is an indication of damage. Repair
as necessary.
• Dress properly. Do not operate when barefoot or wearing open sandals. Wear
only solid shoes with good traction.
• Do not operate the machine while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Never tamper with safety devices. Check their proper operation regularly.
• Stop and inspect the equipment if you strike an object. Repair, if necessary,
before restarting.
• Never make adjustments or repairs with the engine running.

manual. When you see this symbol, carefully read the message
that
follows and be alert to the possibility of personal injury.
Read this manual completely. This machine can amputate hands, feet, and throw
objects. Failure to observe the following safety instructions could result in serious

on the frame. All cart parts listed herein may be ordered
directly from Swisher Mower & Machine Co. Inc. or your
nearest Swisher dealer.

engine supplied with your cart
