WARRANTY
SYKES DATATRONICS, INC. warrants each product of its manufac-
ture to be free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is
limited to service and adjustments of the product and to repair or replace-
ment of parts thereof (except fuses and lamps) for a period of 90 days from
date of shipment from Sykes Datatronics, Inc. ;provided that defective parts
are returned to us with transportation charges prepaid and that our exami-
nation discloses the defect to our satisfaction.
Products or components will not be accepted at the Sykes Datatronics,
Inc. plant without prior authorization by a company representative or au-
thorized service agency representative.
This warranty does not apply to products which have been altered or
repaired by other than factory authorized representatives nor does it cover
damage caused by misuse or negligence of persons other than factory au-
thorized representatives.
Sykes Datatronics, Inc. w~rrants title to the goods to be transferred
hereunder and further warrants that the goods shall be delivered free of the
rightful claim of any third person by way of infringement unless the buyer
furnishes to the seller specifications relating thereto in which case the buyer
shall hold Sykes Datatronics, Inc. harmless against any such claim which
arises out of compliance with the specifications.

THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS, AFFIRMATION OF FACT,

SCOPE OF MANUAL
This document provides service information for two Series 3000
devices and their options: the Series 3000 Cassette Tape Controller
Unit and the Series 3000 EIA System. Descriptions of these devices,
their specifications and functions are contained in Section 1 of this
manual.
Sections 2 through 10 describe the various major components of
the Series 3000 Units as indicated on the index tabs. These Sec-
tions include instructions for dismantling and assembling of the
indexed component(s) and any subassemblies; also parts illustra-
tions and replacement parts lists for equipment included in the
Section.
Adjustment and periodic maintenance information are contained
in Section 11, followed by a trciubleshooting guide in Section 12,
and a complete set of logic schema tic and other diagrams filed
in Section 13.
