third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prongare provided for your safety. If the
provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.
10.) Protect the power cord from beingwalked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11.) Only use attachments / accessories specified by the manufacturer.

This system is designed to operate on 120V 60HzAC house current . Connecting
this system to any other power supply could result in damage to the unit which is
not covered by your warranty.You will note that this system is equipped with a
polarizedAC power plug having one
blade wider than the other. This is a
safety feature. If this plug does not
fit into your existing AC outlet, do
not try to defeat this safety feature
by filing the wide blade to make it fit
into your outlet. If this plug will not
fit into your outlet, you probably have an out-dated non-polarized AC outlet. You
should have your outlet changed by a qualified licensed electrician.
PROTECT YOUR FURNITURE
This model is equipped with non - skid rubber 'feet' to prevent the product from
moving when you operate the controls. These 'feet' are made from non-migrating
rubber material specially formulated to avoid leaving any marks or stains on your
furniture. However certain types of oil based furniture polishes, wood preservatives,
or cleaning sprays may cause the rubber 'feet' to soften, and leave marks or a
rubber residueonthe furniture. To prevent anydamage toyour furniture westrongly
recommend that you purchase small self-adhesive felt pads, available at hardware
stores and home improvement centers everywhere, and apply these pads to the
bottom of the rubber 'feet' before you place the product on fine wooden furniture.

The appliance is designed for mains operation with an alternating voltage of 120V~60Hz.
Never attempt to operate the appliance with a deviating power supply. Otherwise the
appliance will be damaged and there is a risk of safety.
MAINS(AC)OPERATION
Connect the supplied cable to a fully installed 120V ~ 60Hz protective contact scoket and
to the cable socket on the back of the device. The appliance is now ready for use.
CAUTION
To prevent electric shock disconnect from the mains before removing cover. No user
serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
OPERATION
• To turn on the radio, set the OFF/AM/FM Switch to either AM or FM. The back light of
frequency scale on the display will light up.
• For FM reception, pull out the telescopic antenna as far as possible and direct it for
possible reception.
• For AM reception, transmitters an internal ferrite antenna is built into the appliance.
Position the appliance for a good reception.
• Adjust the station selector TUNING to the intended station.
• Adjust the Volume Control to the intended sound.
• To turnoffthe radio, setthe OFF/AM/FM Switchto OFF.The back lightof frequency scale
on the display will extinguish.
CARE
Protect the appliance from strong temperature variations and excess dust. If necessary,
wipe it off with a dry cloth.
