serves as the main disconnect device for the unit,
you will need to unplug it from the AC outlet to shut

Technical Audio Devices Laboratories, Inc. (TADL) grew from the spirit to discover technologies to perfectly recreate the pure

Features
Symmetry: Duallogic-Circuit Technology
To drive your speaker diaphragms precisely, it is crucial that the positive and negative current paths in the voice coils be
precisely symmetrical. Duallogic-circuit technology aims to achieve that perfect balance by paying careful attention not only
to the type of circuitry used, but symmetry in structure and every other detail.
Damping: Vibration-Absorbing Technology
The chassis, carved from some 90 kg of aluminum, is matched to other materials and structure to produce the highest
degree of vibration suppression. The power transformer is also mounted in the chassis by four pin-point supports to suppress
internal vibration. In these and other ways, the design provides enhanced suppression of both internal and external vibration.
High 90 %+ efficiency
By using high-performance D-class amplifier circuitry with greater than 90 % efficiency, energy loss is reduced to a bare
minimum, producing a design with low power consumption.
High-capacity power unit
The TAD-M4300/TAD-M2500 design features two powerful 1 kVA power transformers, providing excellent responsiveness to
drive your speakers accurately.
Drive power with rated output 300 W / 4 Ω, 500 W / 4 Ω
Providing both low loss and high-speed performance, the lead-less power FET output stage features a simple single output
that producing effortless power of 300 W/4 Ω(4ch) in the TAD-M4300, and 500 W/4 Ω(2ch) in the TAD-M2500.

Installation
WARNING
As the unit is a large and heavy unit, make sure to move, unpack and install with two or more people.

When installing, choose a level and flat surface that can sufficiently withstand the weight of this unit. Failure to do so
'
could cause the unit to fall, resulting in an accident.
It is recommended that the unit be installed directly on a solid floor surface. If installed on a shelf, the user is responsible
for confirming that the location is fully able to support the heavy weight of the amplifier.
To promote heat-emission, do not put objects on top of this unit or cover with a sheet (such as cloth or curtains) while
'
operating. Failure to do so could cause the unit to malfunction through abnormal heating.
This amplifier rests on three large main legs and two auxiliary legs. The two auxiliary legs are provided to prevent the unit
'
from suddenly striking the floor in the event that sudden weight is placed on the unit, but they do not contact the floor
under normal conditions.

Using a commercially available cable with balanced-type XLR plug, connect the Pre-Amplifier’s balanced output connectors
to this unit’s balanced input connectors. When using an unbalanced connection (RCA pin jack), set the BALANCED/
UNBALANCED input connector selector switch to “UNBALANCED”.

Bi-AMP connection
Bi-AMPing is a connection method in which two sets of
amplifiers and speaker cables are used; one is connected
to the speaker’s Low frequency and the other to the High
frequency inputs.
Do not turn on the power switches of this unit and other
'
connected components until all connections and settings
are completed.
When using this method, use only speakers that support
'
Bi-AMP connections, and be sure to set the Bi-AMP
selector switch to “Bi AMP”.
Connect the unit’s speaker output terminal pairs
'
outputting the same signal (SPEAKER L terminals 1 and
2, and SPEAKER R terminals 1 and 2) to the respective
speaker’s High and Low terminals.
CAUTION
The Pre-Amplifier is connected to this unit’s INPUT L
'
connector 1 and INPUT R connector 1. When using Bi-
AMP connections, signals from INPUT L connector 2 and
INPUT R connector 2 are not output to the speakers.

Connecting to the speaker system
CAUTION
The input terminals of speaker systems have a negative (–) pole and a positive (+) pole. Make sure to align these poles
'
correctly when connecting to the speaker terminals of this unit.
Make sure to use speakers with an impedance of 4
'Ωto 16 Ω.
Use speaker cables with a large electrical capacity and make sure no warps or shorts are present. Using speaker cables
'
with a small electrical capacity or making imperfect connections could affect the sound quality of your speakers or cause
abnormal heating and shortage.
Make sure that all the bare speaker wire is twisted together and inserted fully into the speaker terminal. If any of the bare
'
speaker wire touches the back panel it may cause the power to cut off as a safety measure.
These speaker terminals carry
'HAZARDOUS LIVE voltage. To prevent the risk of electric shock when connecting or
disconnecting the speaker cables, disconnect the power cord before touching any uninsulated parts.
How to connect the speaker system
Connect the positive (+) terminal of the speaker system to the positive (+) terminal of this unit.
Connect the negative (–) terminal of the speaker system to the negative (–) terminal of this unit.
Connecting the speaker cable
Remove 15 mm (9/16 in.) of the protective insulation to the speaker cable, and twist the core wires together.1.
Turn the speaker terminal knob to the left. (2. )
The terminal knob will slide out and create a gap.
Insert the speaker wire into the gap and turn the terminal knob to the right to tighten. (3. )

Connecting the power cord
Once all connections have been made, connect the power cord to an AC power outlet (U.S. model: AC 120 V; all other
models: AC 220 V to 230 V).
Although the power cord to the unit is removable, do not attempt to use a power cord other than
•
the supplied cord.
When the power plug is connected to an AC power outlet, the unit’s power indicator will light red. When the power switch•
is set to ON, power is supplied to the unit. As the unit powers up, an 8-second muting period will occur, during which time
the power indicator will flash yellow. When the indicator lights steadily (yellow), the unit is ready for operation.
When not using the unit for a long period of time (due to travel or other reasons), be sure to unplug the power cord from•
the power outlet.
Always turn the power switch off before unplugging the power cord to the unit.•

CAUTION
As the unit has high power consumption, be sure to connect the plug to a power outlet providing sufficient electrical

Handle the power cord by the plug part. Do not pull out the plug by tugging the cord, and never touch the power cord when
'
your hands are wet, as this could cause a short circuit or electric shock. Do not place the unit, a piece of furniture, or other
object on the power cord or pinch the cord in any other way. Never make a knot in the cord or tie it with other cables. The
power cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be stepped on. A damaged power cord can cause a fire or give you
an electric shock. Check the power cord once in a while. If you find it damaged, ask your dealer for a replacement.

TO BEGIN PLAYBACK
Before turning on the power
Make sure that the input terminals and output terminals are securely connected.
Playback
Turn the volume knob of the Pre-Amplifier to its lowest setting.1.
Set the Pre-Amplifier’s power switch to ON.2.
Set the unit’s power switch to ON.3.
The power indicator will flash yellow for about eight seconds; when it lights steadily (yellow), the unit is ready for
operation.
Use the Pre-Amplifier’s volume knob to adjust the volume.
To turn off the unit after use, first turn the volume knob of the Pre-Amplifier to its lowest setting, then turn off both the4.
Pre-Amplifier and the unit.
Protection circuit
The unit is provided with a built-in automatic protection circuit to prevent electrical damage to the amplifier and speakers.
When the protection circuit operates, the power indicator will flash, and no sound will be produced from the speakers. The
protection circuit may operate in the following circumstances:
When power is first turned ON
'
In order to silence potential noise during startup, the muting circuit operates for eight seconds; the indicator flashes
yellow during this time.
In event of malfunction
'
In the event of a short-circuit between speaker terminals, excessive load, or abnormal heat generation, the protection
circuit will operate and the indicator will flash red. The protection circuit is of the auto reset type. In the event the
protection circuit operates due to a malfunction, turn off the power, eliminate the source of the malfunction, and turn the
power on again.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Incorrect operations are often mistaken for trouble and malfunctions. If you think that there is something wrong with this
component, check the points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Investigate the other components
and electrical appliances being used. If the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising the checks listed below, ask your
dealer.
