Chapter 1 Safety Information
Precautions
Read all of the instructions before operating the set.
Keep these instructions well for future use.
Product
• Do not block or cover the ventilation openings on
the back cover.
• Do not push objects of any kind into this unit through
the cabinet slots as they could touch current carrying
partsorshort-circuitparts,resultinginre,electric
shock, or damage to the unit.
• Do not attempt to open the cabinet as this may
cause damage. There are no parts inside you can
servicebyyourself.Referallservicingtoqualied
personnel.
• Donottouchthescreensurfacewithngersasthis
may scratch or mark the TV screen.
• Do not impact the TV screen with hard pressure as
this may damage the TV screen severely.
• The appliance is not intended for use by young
childrenorinrmpersonswithoutsupervision.
Young children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
Power and Plug
•Unplug the set under the following conditions:
- If the set will not be used for a long period of time.
- If the power cord or the power outlet/plug is
damaged.
- Follow the instructions to install and adjust the
product. Adjust those controls that are covered
in these operating instructions as improper
adjustment of other controls may result in damage.
If this happens, unplug the set and refer to the
service personnel.
- If the set is subject to impact or has been dropped
to have the cabinet damaged.
•Where the mains plug or an appliance coupler is
used as disconnect device, the disconnect device
shall remain readily operable.
Power Cord and Signal Cable
•Do not allow anything to rest on or roll over the
power cord and the signal cable.
• Protectthepowercordandthesignalcable
from being trampled.
• Donotoverloadthepowercordorthepower
outlet.
• Donotexposethepower cord and the signal
cable to moisture.
Use Environment
•Do not place the set on an unstable cart, stand, or
table.
• Placethesetonaplacethatallowsgood
ventilation.
• Donotusethesetneardamp,andcold
areas.Protectthesetfromoverheating.
• Keep the set away from direct sunlight.
• Thesetshallnotbeexposedtodrippsorsplashes
andnoobjectslledwithliquids,suchasvases,
shall be placed on the set.
• Do not use the set in dusty environments.
Cleaning
•Dust the set by wiping the screen and the cabinet
with a soft, clean cloth or some special liquid
cleaner.
• Donotapplyexcessiveforcetothescreenwhen
cleaning.
• Do not use water or other chemical cleaners to
clean the screen as this may damage the surface of
the TV screen.
Hanging the TV Set on the Wall
Warning: This operation requires two people.
To ensure a safe installation, observe the following
safety notes:
•Check that the wall can support the weight of the TV
set and wall mount assembly.
• Follow the mounting instructions provided with the
wall mount.
• The TV set must be installed on a vertical wall.
• Make sure to use only screws suitable for the
material of the wall.
• Make sure that the TV set cables are placed so that
there is not danger of tripping over them.
All other safety instructions about our TV sets are also
applicable here. Wall Mount Bracket not included.
Important Information
Ifatelevisionisnotpositionedinasufcientlystable
location, it can be potentially hazardous due to falling.
Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided
by taking simple precautions such as:
• Using cabinets or stands recommended by the
manufacturer of the television.
• Only using furniture that can safely support the
television.
• Ensuring the television is not overhanging the edge
of the supporting furniture.
• Not placing the television on tall furniture (for
example,cupboardsorbookcases)without
anchoring both the furniture and the television to a
suitable support.
• Not standing the televisions on cloth or other
materials placed between the television and
supporting furniture.
• Educating children about the dangers of climbing on
furniture to reach the television or its controls.

Buttons on the TV
1. PR-/+ (PROGRAM DOWN/UP) button
Scansdown/upthroughthechannellist.Inthemenusystem,PROGRAMDOWNactslikethedowndirection
buttonontheremoteandadjustsmenu;PROGRAMUPactsliketheupdirectionbuttonsontheremoteandadjust
menu controls.
2. VOL-/+ (VOLUME DOWN/UP) button
Decreases/increases the volume. In the menu system, they act like the left/right direction buttons on the remote
and adjust menu controls.
3. MENU ( ) button
Brings up the menu system.
4. OK/SOURCE ( ) button
Displaythesignalsourceselectionmenu.Inthemenusystem,conrmsyourselectionorchangessettings.
5. POWER ( ) button
Turns the TV on or standby. (Note: for some models, the POWER button turns the TV on or off.)

The location and names of the function buttons and power button on the TV may vary according to TV model.
Sockets
Note: the location and names of the sockets on the TV may vary according to TV model, and not all sockets available on all models.
SPDIF socket (output)
TheSPDIFsocketcanbeusedtoconnectacompatibledigitalaudioreceiver.
Headphone socket (output)
This socket can be used to connect headphones or stereo earphones.
Warning: excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can
cause hearing loss.
USB1 or USB2 socket (input)
These sockets can be used to connect an USB device.
Note: the number of USB sockets on the TV may vary according to TV model.
HDMI1 or HDMI2 or HDMI3 or HDMI4 socket (input)
TheHDMI(High-DenitionMultimediaInterface)socketcanbeusedtoconnecta
bluray,PCwithacompatiblevideocardinstalled,certainDVDplayersorahigh-
denitioncompatibledigitalsatellitedecoder.Thissocketprovidesanuncompressed
digital connection that carries both video and audio data by way of an integrated
mini-plug cable.
YPbPr component sockets (input) or CMP adapter socket (input)
Note:TheCMPadaptersocketcanbeusedtoconnecttheattachedCMPadapter
cablewithYPbPrcomponentsockets.TheseYPbPrsocketscanbeusedtoconnect
a device that has component video sockets, such as a DVD player. The component
socketscanrecognizeifthedeviceyou'reconnectingtoisYPbPrcompatibleorY
CbCrcompatible.Thecomponentsocketsprovideexcellentpicturequalitybecause
the video is separated into three separate parts.
COMPONENT AUDIO IN or CMP AUDIO IN adapter sockets (input)
Note:TheCMPAUDIOinadapter socket can beusedtoconnecttheattached
AUDIO in adapter cable with audio L & R sockets, and be used to obtain sound.
These AUDIO IN L & R sockets can be used to connect a range of equipment,
including video recorders, camcorders, satellite receivers, DVD players, or games
consoles.
AV RCA audio + video sockets (input) or AV IN adapter socket
Note: the AV IN adapter socket can be used to connect the attached AV adapter
cable with VIDEO and AUDIO L & R IN sockets.
The AV IN sockets can be used to connect a range of equipment, including video
recorders, camcorders, decoders, satellite receivers, DVD players, or games
consoles. The VIDEO IN socket provides composite video connection.

Connections and Setup
AUDIO/VIDEO sockets (output) or AV adapter (output) socket
Note: The AV OUT adapter socket can be used to connect the attached AV adapter
cable with VIDEO and AUDIO L & R OUT sockets.
These AV out sockets can be used to connect a VCR to record programs. You must
leave the TV on the same channel you are recording. The VIDEO OUT socket
provides composite video connection.
VGA socket (input)
This socket can be used to connect a computer.
VGA AUDIO socket (input)
This socket provide audio connection when using VGA socket.
ANTENNA IN socket (input)
This socket can be used to connect the outside aerial or cable network.
LAN
RJ45 plug for connecting to external modem or network access equipment.
Source Brings up the signal source selection menu.
(On/Off button) Turns the TV on or standby.
0-9 (numeric buttons) Enters channel numbers.
Enters a letter, a digit or a symbol in some functions.
ECO To select desired power saving mode.
Guide Toggles the Electronic Programme Guide between on and off. Only
available for digital channels.
Menu Brings up the main menu or press to return to the previous menu; to
access or exit virtual keyboard in Opera browser function.
Exit Exits the menu system or Teletext.
▲/▼ (up, down direction buttons) Highlights different items in the menu
system and adjusts the menu controls.
To switch to the previous or next picture, song or video in USB function.
◄/► (Left and right direction buttons) Highlights different items in the menu
Zoom-/+ system and adjusts the menu controls. The right direction
button can also be used to open the corresponding submenu.
Selects the picture format.
OK Wheninthemenusystem,conrmsyourselectionorchangessettings.
To freeze/unfreeze the picture.
Option To display the function menu to perform certain operations;
To display the Teletext page in different mode.
Return Returns you to the previous channel.
In USB function, returns to the previous menu.
V+/- (VOLUME UP/DOWN) Increases or decreases the TV's volume.
Info Displays the status information of the current program, if available.
Mute Switches sound off and back on again.
P+/- (PROGRAM UP/DOWN) Scans up or down through the current
channel list and input sources.
TEXT Toggles teletext between on and off.
SUBTITLE To select a subtitle language available for selected digital TV
programme.
LIST Displays channel list.
TV To access TV mode.
Colored To select tasks or Teletext pages.

Remote Control Functions
Most of your television's functions are available via the menus that appear on the screen. The remote control supplied

Switching on
Follow the instructions on this page on how to switch on your TV set and the remote control before going on to
following pages describing how to use the channel set-up procedure.
1. Insert two AAA batteries in the remote control.
Precautionsonusingbatteries:
-Onlyusethebatterytypesspecied.
- Make sure you use the correct polarity.
-Donotmixnewandusedbatteries.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries.
-Donotexposebatteriestoexcessiveheatsuchassunshine,reorthelike,throwtheminare,rechargethem
ortrytoopenthem,asthiscouldcausethemtoleakorexplode.
- Remove the batteries from the remote control if you are not using it for a long period of time.
2. Connect the power cable to a mains socket. (If the power cable is not connected
tothetelevision,pleaserstconnectthepowercabletothetelevision.)
Your TV set should only be connected to an AC supply. It must not be connected
to a DC supply. If the plug is detached from the cable, do not, under any
circumstances, connect it to a mains socket, as there is a risk of electric shock.
Note: the gures are for representation only. The location of the power socket at
the back of the television might differ depending on the model.
3. Connect the outside aerial or cable network to the ANTENNA IN socket at the
back of the TV set.
Theaerialsocket(75OHM-VHF/UHF/cable)canbeusedforconnecting
anexternalaerialorotherequipmentttedwithamodulator(videorecorder,
satellitereceiver,etc.).Werecommendthatyoudonotconnectotherequipment
(videorecorder,satellitereceiver,etc.)toyourTVsettobeginwith,soasnotto
complicate the set-up procedure with the additional steps involved. Connect
themwhenyouhavenishedsettingupthechannels.
4. When powered on, the TV will be turned on directly or be in standby mode.
If the TV set is in standby mode, press on the remote control or on the TV set to turn on the TV.
Note: the location and name of the power button on the TV may vary according to TV model.
Switching off
To put the TV set into standby mode, press on the remote control or on the TV, the TV set remains powered up,
but with low energy consumption.
To switch off the TV set, unplug the mains socket from the mains outlet.
Connections and Setup
Initial Set-up
Initial set-up involves selecting all the settings required
to be able to search for and store all the channels you
can receive. Make sure that the television is switched on
andfollowallthestepsinturnspeciedhereafter.
Thersttimeyouswitchtheseton,theInitialsetup
wizard opens, which guides you through the initial setup
process.PressOKtostartyourinitialsetup.(Seegure1)
1.Press▲/▼toselectyourlanguage,thenpress
OK/►toenterthenextstep.
2.Press▲/▼toselectScan and press OK/►
to start the search automatically. All available TV
programmes are stored. This operation takes a few
minutes. The display shows the progress of the
search and the number of programs found.
Note: to prevent the channel setup process from
being interrupted, wait for the message indicating
that the setup is complete.
In this step, you can also select Skip Scan to skip
the channel search progress. But when you turn
theTVonnexttime,thepromptonthescreenwill
remindyoutodothechannelscanrst.
3. During the setup, user can press Exit toexitor
interrupt the search halfway. Then follow the hints
available at the bottom of the screen to return to the
laststepbypressing◄.OrpressExittoexit.
4. Once the automatic search ends, the set enters the
nextstepautomatically.Youcanpress▲/▼toselect
your location Shop or Home.PressOK/►to
conrmyourselectionandenterthelaststep.
Note: the Shop mode does not satisfy the MEPS
certication, suggest selecting Home.
5.- In this step, you can press OKtoexittheinitial
setup. The channels are arranged in a preset
order. If you wish to skip channels, modify the
preset order or rename channels, select Setup >
Organiser for these operations.

Advanced video: press OK/► to display its submenu.
Noise reduction: this setting reduces picture
“static”or any type of interference. This feature is
especially useful for providing a clearer picture in
weak analog signal conditions. Press ◄/► to choose
between these options: Low/Off/High.
Light sensor: press ◄/► to select On or Off. When
On is selected, the unit is in power saving mode and
can automatically adjust the backlight according
to the intensity of ambient light. (Note: for some
models, this option is not available. )
Note: some options may appear in the next page of
Picture menu, you can press ▲/▼ to switch.
Sound Menu
Display the main menu by press Menu and select
Sound, then press OK to confirm. The Sound menu
appears with the following options:
Sound preset: press OK/► to display its submenus:
- Sound preset: use ◄/► to select a sound type
from the list: Off, Rock, Pop, Live, Dance, Techno,
Classic, Soft and Personal.
- Frequency range: use ▲/▼ to select the desired
frequency range (100Hz, 300Hz, 1KHz, 3KHz,
10KHz), use ◄/► to adjust the level.
Balance: use ◄/► to balance the sound between the
left and right speakers.
Audio delay:If the sound output does not match
the picture, press ◄/► to adjust the delay time to
synchronize the sound with the picture.
Wide stereo: use ◄/► to switch On or Off.
Auto volume control :select On mode to reduce the
annoying blasts in volume during commercial breaks
and also amplifies softer sounds in program material.
Eliminates the need to constantly adjust the volume.
Sound type: use
◄/►
to select a sound type from the list.
Note: the options offered depend on the programme you
are watching.
PAP Menu
To display the pictures from different source inputs side
by side. Note that one window is for both analog and
digital TV inputs, the other is for VGA, HDMI and CMP
inputs. (Note: AV input is invalid for both windows.)
1. Display main menu by pressing Menu. Select PAP
and press OK to conrm.
2. Select the PAP item, and press to turn on/off
PAP function.
3. When On is selected, select TV position, press the
◄/► to reposition the TV window.
Note: press
◄/►
to toggle the focus window. When
focus in TV window, digit keys and PROGRAM
DOWN/UP work in TV. When focus in the other
window, PROGRAM DOWN/UP c

Using Menu System
This section explores the menus of your TV. Each menu
is outlined and detailed to help you get the most from
your TV. To access the menu system:
1. Press Menu to display the main menu.
2. Press ▲/▼/◄/► to select the desired item, then
press OK to open the corresponding submenu.
3. In submenus, use ▲/▼ to select menu options,
use ◄/►to set functions or change values. Press
OK to activate a setting. Use OK/► to open the
corresponding submenu.
4. Press Menu to return to the previous menu or press
Exit to close the menu.
Picture Menu
The menus for adjusting the picture are used to obtain
the best picture settings according to your preference,
the type of program you are watching and the ambient
lighting.
Display the main menu by pressing Menu and select
Picture, then press OK to conrm. The Picture options
are as below:
Note: some options may be not available for certain
signal sources.
Picture preset:use ◄/► to scroll through the picture
preset settings: Vivid, Studio, Personal, Movie and
ECO.
Note: ECO is recommended home viewing mode, which
conrms to recommendation of MEPS (Minimum energy
performance standards). And the energy rating label is
performed in this mode.
Brightness: adjusts the brightness of the picture.
Contrast: adjusts the difference between light and dark
areas of the picture.
Saturation:adjusts the richness of colour. (Note: this
function is not available in VGA mode.)
Sharpness: adjusts the crispness of the edges in the
picture. (Note: this function is not available in VGA
mode.)
ECO dynamic back light: press ◄/► to select desired
power saving mode to achieve desired power saving
effect. At this time the Picture preset option under
Picture will be set to Personal synchronically.
Color temperature: adjusts the color temperature of the
picture. Use ◄/► to scroll through the color settings:
Cool for a more blue palette of picture colors; Normal;
and Warm for a more red palette of picture colors.
Screen mode:use ◄/► to select the picture size. (Note:
you are recommended to use the full screen mode. Do
not use the display mode with black bars on both sides
of the picture (such as 4:3) for long time, otherwise the
TV screen may be damaged permanently.)
Auto format: use ◄/► to select On and Off, when On
selected, the picture will display the picture according to
HD Signal's format.
Note: Auto format is available only in TV and AV mode.

Options Menu
Display main menu by pressing Menu. Select Options
and press OKtoconrm.The Options options are as
below:
Subtitle:this enables subtitle for digital TV channels.
Select Subtitle, press OK/►todisplayitssubmenus:
Subtitle:press◄/►toturnOn or Off the subtitles.
Subtitle type:press◄/►toselectasubtitletype.
You can select Hearing impaired to display the
hearing impaired subtitle with your selected language.
Decoding page language: select Options > Decoding
page language. Select a proper type of language in
whichTeletextwilldisplay.
Digital teletext language: for digital TV channels, your
TVcouldzaptoaservicewithmultipleinitialTeletext
pages in different languages. This function allows you to
select an available language as primary language which
relatestodifferentinitialTeletextpage.SelectOptions >
Digital teletext language.Press◄/►toselect.
SPDIF type:connect to an audio device through the
SPDIF output. Select Options > SPDIF type. Select a
proper sound type from the list for digital programmes.
- If the current programme outputs sound in Dolby D
format, then either PCM or Dolby D can be selected.
- If the current programme does not output sound in
Dolby D format, only PCM can be selected.
Otherwise no sound will be output.
- Select Off to turn off the audio output from the
Audio Device connected to the SPDIF output.
Note: the options you may choose depend on the
programme you are watching. If you select PCM and
the sound output is prior to the picture, you can select
SPDIF delay from the Options menu and press ◄/►
to adjust the delay time to synchronize the sound
with
the picture.
T-Link:to search for CEC devices connected to the
HDMI sockets in your TV and enable one-touch play and
one-touch standby between CEC devices.
Enable or disable T-Link
1. Select Options > T-Link.
2.Press◄/► to select On or Off.
Use one-touch play: one-touch play enables you to
presstheplaybuttonon,forexample,yourDVD
remote control. This starts playback on your DVD
device and automatically switches your TV to the
correct source, displaying DVD content.
Use System standby: system standby enables
you to press the buttonon,forexample,yourTV
remote control. This switches your TV and all
connected HDMI devices to standby mode.
Location:use◄/► to select Home or Shop mode.
Home mode is the default. If Shop mode selected, the
picture will be displayed in Vivid mode. In Shop mode,
you can adjust the picture mode, but when turning on
theTVnexttime,thePicture preset will restore to Vivid
mode, and a prompt about Shop mode will appear.
Timer: The Timer menu allows you to set the time zone
on your TV set, to programme an automatic turn-off or
wake-up timer and to view the calendar.
Select Options > Timer and press OK/►to confirm.
The Timer options are as below:
Time zone:use◄/►toselectthelocaltimezone.
Country region:use◄/►toselectyourregion.
Clock: press OK/►todisplayitsoptions:
Auto synchronization:use◄/►toselectOn
or Off. If On selected, the TV will get the time
automatically from DTV signals, and the Time item
cannot be adjusted. If you select Off, you should
set date and time at Date and Time item. Highlight
Date or Time,use◄/►toselectinputspace,enter
the current date or time by using the digit keys
.
Note: if Off selected, the time set in Time option
will not be memorized when turning on the TV next
time, and the TV 's time will start from the default.
Power on timer:use◄/►toselect Once, Daily
or Off. If you select Once or Daily, you should
set a time period after which the TV automatically
switches to on at Timer below this item. Highlight
Timer,use◄/►to select input space,enter the
on time using the digit keys.
Power on channel: press OK/► to display its
submenu. Highlight Select mode,use◄/►to
select Last status, the power on channel will be
the last channel you watched before powered off.
Or you can select User select,thenpress▲/▼to
select the channel you want to watch when the TV
isturnedonautomaticallynexttime,andpressOK
toconrm.
Power off timer:use◄/►to selectOnce, Daily
or Off. If you select Once or Daily, you should
set a time period after which the TV automatically
switches to off at Timer below this item. Highlight
Timer,use◄/►to select input space,enter the
off time using the digit keys.
Sleep timer: sets a period of time after which the
TV set goes into standby mode. Use ◄/► to set
theperiod(120minutesmaximum).Todisablethis
function, select Off.
Lock Menu
This menu can control the special function for TV
channels.
Note: you must enter your personal code before
entering the Lock menu.
Display the main menu by pressing Menu and select
Lock, then press OK to confirm. Then press the
number button to enter the password to enter the Lock
menu. The factory default code is 1234. And the super
password is 0423. If you forget your code, enter it to
overrideanyexistingcodes.
The Lock options are as below:
Channel Lock: this option allows you to lock a certain

certain TV channel you want to lock, then press OK to
lock. To unlock, use the same operation.
Parental rating:this option allows you to set a rating
to a program. Highlight Parental rating, press OK/►to

Input lock:this option allows you to lock a certain
externalsourceyouwanttolock.PressOK/►todisplay
Input lockmenu,thenpress ▲/▼ toselectacertain
externalsourceyouwanttolock,andpressOK to lock.
To unlock, use the same operation.
Note: when the current input is locked, you can press
OK and enter the password to enter.
Front panel lock:press◄/►toselect On to lock
theset's buttons.
Installation lock:press◄/►toselectOn to prevent
access to the Installation menu to prevent any channels
from being set up without your consent.
Max volume:press◄/►to setthemaxvolumewhen
watching programme.
Change password:this option allows you to change the
password.PressOK/►toenter,thenpressthenumber
button to enter the new password twice.
Clean all:this option allows you to unlock all locked
channels.PressOKtoenter, use ◄/► toselectOK,
press OKtoconrm.
Setup Menu
The Setup menu allows you to configure the TV with
your preferences.
Display the main menu by pressing Menu and select
Setup, then press OK to display its options:
Language Selection: select Setup > Language.Press
OK/►todisplayitssubmenus:
Menu language:press◄/►toselectthepreferred
language for all menus.
Preferred audio language:press◄/►toselectthe
preferred audio language.
Preferred audio language 2nd:press◄/►toselect
the 2nd preferred audio language.
Channel install
Automatic Search: this option allows the TV to
searchfor,ndandstorealltheavailableanalogand
digitalchannels.Followallthestepsinturnspecied
hereafter.
1. select Setup > Channel install, then press OK/►
to display its options.
2. Select Automatic search, then press OK/►to
enter.
3. Select Digital & Analog (or Digital or Analog),
then press OK/►tostarttheautomaticsearch
process.The search may take a few minutes.
During the process, you can press Menu or Exit to
abort halfway.
4. Once the automatic search ends, press Menu to
return to the last step or press Exit to close the
menu.
5. After the automatic search, channels are
arranged in a preset order. You can skip channels,
modify the preset order or rename channels, select
Setup > Organiser and press OK/►toenter.
Skipping channels: if a channel was stored twice or
its reception is poor, you can simply skip it. The
skipped channels can not be selected by pressing the
PROGRAM DOWN/UP button.
Select Channel skip and press OK/►todisplay

Sorting channels: swaps two channels position.

Edit channels: select Channel edit and press

or Channel name, using the digit keys to edit the
channelnumberorchannelname,nallypressOK to
conrm.
Whenyouhavenished,pressMenu to return, or
press Exit to close the menu.
Automatic update: this allows you to update all
available channels, without
alteringthesortingofexistingchannels.
1. Select Channel install > Automatic update.
2.PressOK/►tostarttoupdatethechannels.To
stop the update process, press Menu.
3. When the search is completed, press Menu to
return, or press OK to restart.
Analog manual scan
1. Select Channel install > Analog manual scan,
press OK/►toenter.
2.Press▲/▼/◄/►andnumberorOK to search,
netuneorstorethechannel.
3.PressMenu to return to the previous menu or
press Exit to close the menu.
Air manual Installation: Allows you to start manual
searching the available channels from the current
frequency or any frequency you input. (Only for digital
channels)
1. Select Channel install > Air manual installation,
press OK/►toenter.
2.PressOK to start search from the current
frequency, or use digit keys to input a frequency,
then press OK to start search.
3. When the search is completed, press Menu to
return, or press OK to restart.

Clean channel list: allows you to remove all the
searched channel from the channel list.
1. Select Channel install > Clean channel list, press
OK/►toenter.
2.Press◄/►toselectOK, then press OKtoconrm
to clean the channel list.
Input settings: youcancongureyourTVaccordingto
the equipment you connect to it.
1. Select Setup > Input settings.
2.PressOK/► to enter Input settings.
3.Press▲/▼to select a connector your equipment is
connected to.
4.Press◄/►toselectthetypeofapparatusattachedto
this connector.
5.PressMenu to return to the Setup menu. After
conguring,theselectedsourcelabelwillbe
displayed after the name of the related connector in
the source list when pressing Source on the remote
control or OK on the TV set.
Diagnostic (on digital TV channels)
1. Select Setup > Diagnostic.
2.PressOK/►todisplaysomesignalinformation
on current digital channel, such as signal strength,
Freq.(KHz),etc..
Reset shop:allows you to reset the TV to factory default
settings.
1. Select Setup, then press OKtoconrm.
2. Select Reset shop and press OK/►toenter.
3. Use the digit buttons to enter the password to enter.
4.Press◄/►toselectOK, then press OKtoconrm.
5. The Initial setup menu appears. Follow the related
Instructions.

View TV using the 3D function
WARNING:
• Someviewersmayexperiencediscomfortwhile
viewing 3D TV such as dizziness, nausea and
headaches.Ifyouexperienceanysuchsymptom,
stop viewing 3D TV, remove your 3D glasses and
rest.
•Watching3Dimagestoocloselyorforalong
period of time may harm your eyesight.
• Aresponsibleadultshouldfrequentlycheckon
children who are using the 3D function.
• Donotusethe3Dglassesforanyotherpurpose
than viewing 3D images on a 3D TV.
• Donotusethe3Dfunctionor3Dglasseswhile
walking or moving around, otherwise it may result
in injuries due to running into objects, tripping, and/
or falling.
PressMenu and select Picture > 3D, then press OK/►
to enter.
3D Mode:Wearthe3Dglassesrst,thenpress

/►toselecttheright3DinputformatamongTop
and Bottom, Side-by-Side, 2D-to-3D, Line interleave
and Frame sequential for the playing 3D video.
L-R Switch: select On or Off to adjust the 3D image
for the left and right eyes with better visibility.
Depth of Field: adjust the stereoscopic effect of the
3D image converted from 2D image.
3D-to-2D: select Left or Right to display the
image for the left or right eye only. This function is
deactivated when 3D Mode is set to 2D-to-3D or Off.
PressExit to close the menu.
Notes:
- Some 3D modes may not be available depending
on the format of the image source.
-SomePicturefunctionsaredisabledin3Dmode.
- 3D glasses from other manufacturers may not be
supported.
- If there is an obstacle between the TV and the 3D
glasses, the 3D image may not display properly.
Setup your favourite channels
You can create a list of up to seven of your favourite TV
channels.
1.PressLIST.
2.PresstheyellowbuttontoenterChannel list
selection.Press▲/▼toselectthefavoritelistyou
want to set up your favorite channels. Then press OK
to enter the selected list.
3.Pressthebluebuttontostarttoedityourfavoritelist.
Press▲/▼toscrollthroughthechannellistand
press OK to select or unselect it.
4.
Repeat this procedure to setup other favorite channels.
5.PressLIST/Exittoexit.

Network connection
You can set up your TV so that it can access the Internet
through your local area network (LAN) using a wired or
wireless connection.
Connecting to a wired network
you can attach your TV to your LAN using cable in three
ways:
• YoucanattachyourTVtoyourLANbyconnecting
the LAN port on your TV to an external modem using
a Cat 5 cable.
•
You can attach your TV to your LAN by connecting the
LAN port on your TV to a IP Sharer which is connected
to an external modem. Use Cat 5 cable for the
connection.
• Dependingonhowyournetworkiscongured,
you may be able to attach your TV to your LAN
by connecting the LAN port on your TV directly to a
network wall outlet using a Cat 5 cable. Note that the
wall outlet is attached to a modem or router elsewhere
in your house.
Select Options > Network > Conguration > Interface,
then select Ethernet to connect to a wired network.
Connecting to a wireless network
ToconnectyourTVtoyournetworkwirelessly,youneed
awirelessrouterormodem,awirelessLANadapter,and
a
TCL wireless USBdongle (model PW-DN4210D,
which is sold separately)
. Connect
the USB dongle to
your TV’s USB 1 port.
1. Select Options > Network > Conguration >
Interface,thenselectWireless to connect to a WiFi
wireless network.
2. Select Wireless setting and press OK/►toenter.
3. Connection Methods: you can setup the wireless
network connection three ways.
- Scan
• SelectWireless setting > Scan,thenpress
OK/►,theTVwillscanallaccesspointswithin
range. The access points found by the TV will be
displayed.
•Selectanavailableaccesspoint,thenpress
OK/►toconnecttheTVtoit.
Notes:
-
If you select a protected access point, you will
have
to enter the corresponding password. Press
Menu on
the remote control to display virtual
keyboard to enable you to enter it.
- This set has a memory function of available
access point, which enables your set to be
connected to the network even if you switch on TV
after power off.

Network Setup
1. Press Menu on the remote control and select
Options > Network > Conguration > Internet
connection
.Press◄/►toselectOn. Wait until the
connection is automatically established.
2. Select Options > Network > Conguration >
Connection test,thenpressOK/►tocheckthe
Internetconnectivity.Ifitdoesn'twork,followbelow
steptomakesuretheconnectivity.
3. Select Options > Network > Conguration > IP
setting,thenpressOK/►toentertheIP setting
menu.
- Set Address type to Auto,itwillacquireandenter
the needed IP address automatically.
- You can follow below steps to enter your IP address
manually.
• SetAddress type to Manual,thenpress▼togo
totherstentryeld.
• EntertheIP address, Subnet mask, Default
gateway, Primary DNS and Secondary DNS
values.Usethedigitbuttonstoenternumbers
andthearrowbuttonstomovefromoneentry
eldtoanother.
- Aftersetting,selectOptions > Network >
Conguration > Connection test to check the
Internetconnectivityagain.
4.SelectOptions > Network > Conguration >

Addresstype,IPaddress,etc..
Share & See
Note: This manual covers products with either Share &
See function. Share & See is DLNA-compatible.
Connecting to your PC
Make sure to set up a wired or wireless connection
fromyourTVtoarouterrst.ThenconnectyourPC to
your router either through a network cable or wirelessly.
Followthestepsinturnspecifiedhereafter, then you
canenjoyrecordedvideo,picture,musicand/ortextles
savedonyourPC.

Adding media from your PC for sharing
Install a DLNA media server in your PC. The simple and
familiar server you may install is Microsoft Windows
Media Player 11. Allow your TV to share the designated
les on your PC.
1. Open Microsoft Windows Media Player 11.
- Select Library > Media sharing.
- Check the checkbox Share my media to.
- Select the icon of the TV set connected to your PC.
- Select Allow to allow the TV set to access your PC,
and select OK to enable your allowing.
Note: you can push Settings button to customize
your desired settings.
2. - Select Library > Add to Libray.
- Select your personal folders or folders of other
users that you can access for sharing.
- Select Add and press OK to enable your adding.
Share & See application
1. Select Options > Network > Applications > Share
& See, then press ◄/► to select On.
2. Press Menu on the remote control and select Media,
then press OK to launch Share & See applications.
Stopping Share & See function
1. Select Options > Network > Conguration >
Internet connection, and set it to Off.
2. Or select Options > Network > Applications >
Share & See, and set it to Off.
Opera Browser
This feature brings desired contents and services
directly from the web to your TV.
Notes:
- Congurethenetworksettingsbeforeusingthis
feature.
- Unsupportedfontswithintheprovider’scontentwill
notdisplaynormally.
- Slowresponsesand/orinterruptionsmayoccur,
dependingonyournetworkconditions.
1. Display the main menu by pressing Menu and select
Internet TV, then press OK to ernter.
2. Select Opera, press OK/► to display the homepage
of your browser.
3. Use ▲/▼/◄/► on the remote control to navigate
through the webpage, and press OK on the remote
control to conrm an entry or selection.You can
also press Menu on the remote control to access or
exit virtual keyboard. Connect your wired or wireless
mouse through your TV’s USB jack. Use your mouse
to navigate within the webpage.
Home: click it to display the homepage.
Back: return to the webpage you just left.
Go to: select from the list to get back to a
recently visited webpage.
Refresh: click it to refresh the webpage.
Bookmark manager: click it to display the
Bookmark manager.
- Add a folder: add folders to your Bookmark
manager so as to organise your bookmarks
into folders to include all the websites you visit
frequently. Click Add a folder bar, type a name
for the folder, and then click Add. Repeat this
step until you have created as many folders as
you’d like.
- Visit a bookmark: go to a bookmark by simply
clicking its name, instead of having to type its
address.
- Delete a bookmark: click the Delete icon after
a link to delete the link if you want to.
- Edit a bookmark: Click the Edit icon after a
link to edit the name and/or URL of the
bookmark if you want to.
- Click Close bookmark manager bar to close.
Add a bookmark: go to the webpage you want
to add to your Bookmark manager and click .
Type a new name for the webpage if you want
to, specify the folder that the bookmark should
be created in, then click Add.
USB Functions
Your TV is tted with a USB connector that enables you
to view photos, listen to music or watch videos stored on
a USB storage device.
Supported le formats:
Picture: JPEG
Music: MP3
Video: AVI, MP4, MPG, MPEG, TS…
Note: someUSBkeysandUSBproductslikedigital
camerasormobilephonesarenotfullycompatible
withUSB2.0standardsoitmaynotworkwiththeTV
multimediaplayer.NotallUSBkeysordevicesare
compatiblefortheUSBfunction.
When a USB device is detected, it enters the Media
Center menu directly.
Photo
To display photos if available.
1. Select Media center > Photo, then press OK to enter
the main le content browser.
2. In the main le content browser, use / to
select a photo or an inner le folder.
3. Select an inner le folder, press OK to enter a sub le
content browser.

- Sort: sort folders and songs by Name, Genre,
Artist or Album.

3. Select a song, press OK to play, and an automatic
playbackbeginsfromtheselectedsong.PressMenu
to display the music menu in the browser mode. You
can play or pause the song, select different play
mode, etc..

Video
To watch video if available.
1. Select Media Center > Video, then press OK to enter
themainlecontentbrowser.

display function, press Menu to display the video
menu in the folder mode.
- Sort: sort folders and videos by Type,modication
Date or Name.
- Edit: copy, paste or delete a selected video.
- Parser: you can select Recursive to display videos

3. Select a video, press OK to watch, and an automatic
playbackbeginsfromtheselectedvideo.PressMenu
to display the video menu in the browser mode. You
can play or pause the video, select different play
mode, screen mode and preset picture settings, etc..

Time shift
Allows you to record the TV programme so that you
won't miss the favourite part even if you go out. Before
you use the function, connect a USB device to the TV
rst.Forthe rsttime,youshoulddothedisksetupfor
the USB device.
1. Select Setup > Time shift.
2.Press◄/►toselectOn to switch on the time shift
function, then press Exit to close the menu.
3.PressOption on the remote control and select Time
shift, then press OK toconrm.
4. Follow the directions on the screen to do the setup.
5. After the disk setup is done, press Option and select
Time shift.
6.PressOK to display the time shift menu.
-Presstheredbuttontopausethepictureandbegin
the time shift.
-Presstheredbuttontoplaytherecordedpart.
- When the time shift menu disappears and only the
timing of the time shift remains on the screen, you
can press the red button or OK to call out the time
shift menu.
-Pressthegreenbuttontofastbackwardorthe
yellow button to fast forward.
-Pressthebluebuttontoquitthetimeshiftfunction.
Notes:
- Before you plug the USB device to TV, make sure
you have backed up the data on the device to avoid
unusual performance and data loss.
- We recommend that you use a USB device with
atleast1Gbfreespaceandadiskspeedfaster
than 5.0M/sec.
- Thebiggerlesizefortimeshift,thelongeryoucan
record the programme.
- If you attempt to channel change during time shift,
a message prompts to let you select Yes or No. You
can select Yestoexitthetimeshiftfunctionand
executethechannelchange.
PVR(Personal Video Recorder)
Allows you to record your favourite TV programme.
Before you use the function, connect a USB memory
devicetothesetrst.
1.PressOption on the remote control and select Quick
access > PVR.
2.PressOK/►toenter.
3.Press:
-theredbuttontostartrecording,therecordleis
putintoaPVRfolderinMedia center > Video and
named after the channel number;
- the green button to stop recording manually; if the
recordingdurationnishes,therecordingwillstop
automatically.
-▲/▼/◄/►toadjusttherecordingduration.

4.Inrecording,PVRminipanewillalsoshowonthe
screen to indicate the recording progress.
5.Towatchtherecordedprogramme,exitPVRmode
rstandgotoMedia center > Video. Select the
folderPVR,thenselecttherelatedrecordle.Press
OK to play. (It is the same if you record a digital radio
programme).
Notes:
- When CI+ card is used, PVR function will be
disabled.
- Only available for digital channels.
- Only support USB memory device of FAT32 format.
- Before you plug the USB memory device to the set,
make sure you have backed up the data on the
device to avoid unusual performance and data loss.
-ThebiggersizeofUSBmemorydeviceforPVR
function, the longer you can record the programme.
- If changing channel or signal source in recording,
storetherecordingdataandexecutethechannelor
signal source change.
-Thesetcannotplaylesnormallyiftheparameters
oftheleexceedthelimitationsofthesystem,the
leformatisnotsupported,theleisdamaged,or
thelecannotbedecoded.
- Do not unplug the USB memory device when the
systemisreadingaleortransmittingdata,
otherwise the system or the device may be
damaged.
Schedule list
This function is used to perform scheduled recording.
1.PressOption on the remote control and select Quick
access > Schedule list.
2.PressOK/► to display the schedule list.
3. To add a schedule into your schedule list, press the
redbuttonrsttodisplaySchedule list. Then,
- Channel number: use◄/► to select the channel
number.
- Start date: use the digit buttons to set the recording
date.
- Start time: set the starting time of recording.
- Stop time: set the stopping time of recording.
- Schedule type:
. set Reminder to inform you that you can switch to
the scheduled programme when the time you set
comes.Whenthetimeisoutandyoudon'texecute
anyoperation,thedialogboxwilldisappearandno
furtheroperationwillbeexecuted.
. set Record to check if you really want to start your
scheduled recording when the time you set comes.
Whenthetimeisoutandyoudon’texecuteany
operation, scheduled recording will start
automatically.
- Repeat type: set different repeat mode of recording.
4.Press▲/▼/◄/►to select Add, then press OK to add
the schedule you set into your schedule list.
5.Presstheredbuttontorepeataboveproceduresto
add another schedule.
6. If you wish to edit or delete a schedule, select it and
press OK to enter.
7.PressExit to close the menu.

Troubleshooting
Most problems you encounter with your TV can be
corrected by consulting the following troubleshooting list.
No picture, no sound
1. Check if the fuse or circuit breaker is working.
2.Pluganotherelectricaldeviceintotheoutlettomake
sure it is working or turned on.
3.Powerplugisinabadcontactwiththeoutlet.
4. Check the signal source.
No colour
1. Change the colour system.
2. Adjust the saturation.
3. Try another channel. Black-white program may be
received.
Remote control does not work
1. Change the batteries.
2. Batteries are not installed correctly.
3. Main power is not connected.
No picture, normal sound
1. Adjust the brightness and contrast.
2. Broadcasting failure may happen.
Normal picture, no sound
1.PresstheVOLUMEUPbuttontoincreasevolume.
2. Volume is set to mute, press the Mute button to
restore sound.
3. Change the sound system.
4. Broadcasting failure may happen.
Unorderly ripples on the picture
It is usually caused by local interference, such as cars,
daylight lamps and hair driers. Adjust the antenna to
minimize the interference.
Blank screen in VGA mode
PerhapstheTVcannotrecognizetheresolutionsetby
thePC.Suggestto change tothebestresolutionor
other standard resolutions of the Windows system.
Snowy dots and interference
If the antenna is located in the fringe area of a television
signal where the signal is weak, the picture may be
marredbydots.Whenthesignalisextremelyweak,it
may be necessary to install a special antenna to improve
the reception.
1. Adjust the position and orientation of the indoor/
outdoor antenna.
2. Check the connection of antenna.
3. Fine tune the channel.
4. Try another channel. Broadcasting failure may
happen.
Ignition
Black spots or horizontal streaks appear, or the picture
uttersordrifts.Thisisusuallycausedbyinterference
from car ignition system, neon lamps, electric drills, or
other electrical appliance.
Ghost
Ghostsarecausedbythetelevisionsignalfollowingtwo
paths.Oneisthedirectpath,theotherisreectedfrom
tall buildings, hills, or other objects. Changing the
direction
or position of the antenna may improve the reception.
Radio frequency interference
This interference produces moving ripples or diagonal
streaks, and in some case, loss of contrast in the picture.
Find out and remove the radio interference source.
