TACOMA HOOD STRUT KIT INSTALLATION
Here’s what’s
included in the
kit. Install time
is less than
30 minutes.
Place the rear edge of the bracket against the cowl weld (you may need
to remove sealant from the top of the fender so bracket sits level).

With the Ball Stud Bracket against the weld, mark hole location
with a marker. Drill 2 (1/8”) holes.

Mount the Ball Stud Bracket and tighten the Tec screws.

You are now ready to attach the strut.

• (8) #10 x 1/2" Hex Washer Head
Self-Drilling Tek Screw Zinc Plated Steel
• (4) 10mm Ball Stud Brackets

Measure 16” from the end of the hood hinge, the bottom of the
Ball Stud Bracket mounts here. Place the outside (back) edge of
the Ball Stud Bracket 1 ¾” from the edge of the hood. Mark the
hole locations with a marker. Drill 2 (1/8”) holes.

Attach strut.

Side 2 completed. Installation completed.

Mount the Ball Stud Bracket and tighten the Tec screws.

You are now ready to attach the strut.

side 2.
