Universal omni-directional DVB-T2 active antenna.

1 Foreword
This manual will help you to use your device, hereinaer referred to as SMARTTENNE
5, antenna, device or product, safely and as intended.
1.1 Target group
The instruction manual is intended for any person who is involved in seing up,
operating, cleaning or disposing of the device.
1.1.1 Purpose of the device
The device is designed to receive digital television programs broadcast in the VHF
and UHF bands.
1.2 Important notes
In order to minimize safety hazards, avoid damage to the device and contribute to
environmental protection, please observe the following instructions. Please read all
safety instructions carefully and keep them for future reference. Always follow all
warnings and cautions in this Quick Start Guide and on the back of the unit.
Caution - Indicates an important guideline to be followed to avoid loss of
health, defects in the device, loss/misuse of data or unintended operation.
Note - Indicates a note on the function described and the related and possibly
other function to be followed with reference to the relevant point in the
manual.
1.2.1 Safety
For your own protection, please read the safety precautions carefully before
connecting the product. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by
improper operation and failure to observe the following safety precautions.
Never open the device and the power supply unit! Touching live parts is life-
threatening!
Any necessary interventions must be carried out only by trained personnel.
The device can only be operated in temperate climates.
Before installation and use, check the power supply or any of its components
for damage. Do not use a damaged power supply.
Danger of suocation!
The device is not a toy. Keep the device, its accessories and packaging out
of the reach of children. Cables and foil packaging can wrap around a child‘s
neck or be swallowed, and this can result in choking or suocation.

Aention!:
The device must only be connected to a mains supply of 100-240 V, ~50/60
Hz. Never aempt to use the device to operate at any other voltage.
- The antenna is designed for outdoor use.
- In case of a noticeable malfunction of the device, the appearance of odors
or smoke, serious malfunctions, damage to the housing, please turn o the
device and contact the service center.
- Please follow the operating instructions.
- Please mount the antenna to a stable surface to avoid damage and falling.
- For good reception, please position the antenna as high as possible in the
direction of the transmier.
- In case of a thunderstorm, please disconnect the antenna cable from the
decoder (TV).
- Check the antenna or its components regularly for damage.
- The power cord must not be connected until the installation is properly
completed.
- If the power cord of the device is damaged or if the device is damaged in any
other way, do not run it.
- When unplugging the power supply from the outlet, do not pull the cord.
- To avoid the risk of fire and electric shock, do not expose the power adapter
to rain or moisture.
- Do not use the power adapter near bathtubs, swimming pools or water.
- The power supply is intended for indoor use only.
- Avoid mounting the antenna in the immediate vicinity of equipment and
structures that may cause interference, such as microwave ovens, cell phones
and other wireless communication devices, electrical installations, high-
powered electric motors, large steel surfaces.
- Do not place sources of open flame such as burning candles near the power
supply.
- Do not cover the power supply unit. Be sure to provide it with adequate
ventilation.
- If the power supply unit comes into contact with water, immediately
disconnect it from the power source.
- Do not touch the power supply unit, separator cable or power cord with wet
or damp hands.
- Do not reuse damaged equipment or damaged accessories.
- Do not turn on the device in places where the use of electronic devices is
prohibited, or where it may cause interference or other hazards. Comply with

all kinds of prohibitions, regulations and warnings given by personnel of the
place where you want to use the device.
- When the power adapter is not used for a long time, unplug it from the power
outlet by holding the case, not the power cord.
- For pluggable devices, the connection socket should be mounted close to the
device and should be easily accessible.
- For permanently connected devices, an easily accessible disconnecting device
should be mounted on the outside of the device.
- Disconnect the power supply from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Clean the power supply with a dry, so cloth or brush. Do not use scouring
powders, strong detergents, alcohol or solvents for cleaning.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and/or
knowledge, unless they are supervised by or have received instructions from a
person responsible for their safety on how to use the appliance.
- Route the power cord and antenna cable.so that it cannot be tripped over.
1.2.2 Disposal
Disposal instructions
Your new device was protected by packaging on its way to you. All materials
used are environmentally friendly and recyclable. Please help us to dispose of
the packaging in an environmentally friendly way. For information on current
disposal methods, please contact your dealer or local waste disposal facility.
Danger of suocation! Packaging and its parts should not be le with children.
Risk of suocation due to foil and other packaging materials.
This device has been designed and manufactured with high
quality materials and components that are recyclable. The symbol
of the crossed-out wheeled waste container indicates that the
product is subject to separate collection in accordance with
Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council and in
accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC of the European Parliament and of the
Council, and informs that electrical and electronic equipment and baeries
and accumulators, aer their useful life, must not be disposed of with other
household waste. The user is obliged to return it to the collector of waste
electrical and electronic equipment and baeries and accumulators forming
a system for the collection of such waste, including an appropriate store,
local collection point or municipal unit. Waste equipment can have a harmful
eect on the environment and human health due to its potential content of
hazardous substances, mixtures and components. The household plays an
important role in contributing to the reuse and recovery, including recycling,
of waste equipment. At this stage, aitudes are formed that influence the
preservation of the common good, which is a clean environment. Households

are also one of the largest users of small equipment and rational management
of this equipment aects the recovery of recyclable materials. In case of
improper disposal of this product, penalties may be imposed in accordance
with national legislation
1.2.3 Legal information
TechniSat Digital Sp. z o.o. hereby declares that the radio equipment type
SMARTTENNE 5 (76-4837-00) complies with the directive 2014/53/EU and
RoHS 2011/65/EU. The full text of the EU declaration of conformity is available
at the following website: hp://konf.tsat.de/?ID=24688.
Changes and printing errors reserved. From 12/22 onwards, copying and
reproduction only with the publisher‘s consent. The latest version of the
manual is available in PDF format in the download area on the main website
www.technisat.pl.
TechniSat is not responsible for damages to the product caused by external
factors, wear and tear, improper handling, unauthorized repairs, modifications,
or accidents.
1.2.4 Service tips and warranty
This product is quality tested and has a statutory warranty period of
24 months from the date of purchase. Please keep the invoice as proof
of purchase. For warranty claims, please contact the product seller or
manufacturer.
The guarantor, within the scope of the guarantee, undertakes to remove at its
own expense any defects in the product. Removal of defects will be carried
out by replacing the defective product with a new, defect-free one or repairing
it.
In order to exercise the warranty, the purchaser must report the defective
product to the point of sale where the product was purchased and deliver the
defective product there. The product should be delivered complete.
The warranty does not cover product defects caused by the purchaser or
resulting from:
- use or installation of the product in a manner inconsistent with the operating
instructions,
- improper storage or maintenance of the product,
- repairs or alterations to the product performed by unauthorized persons,
- ingress of liquids or foreign bodies,
- lightning and short circuits in the power supply.
The terms of the warranty do not exclude, limit, or suspend the rights of
purchasers (consumers) arising from applicable statutory law.

2 SMARTTENNE 5 description
2.1 Contents of set
Before starting, make sure to check if the scope of delivery is complete:
1x SMARTTENNE 5 omnidirectional antenna
1x Mounting arm for mast or wall
1x Mast clamp
1x Antenna cable - 10m
1x 12V/200mA power supply
1x Signal amplifier
1x User manual
2.2 SMARTTENNE 5 features
SMARTTENNE 5 antenna is a universal antenna for receiving DVB-T, DVB-T2 television
programs and has the following advantages:
- Hermetic housing allows operation in moderate climates.
- Omnidirectional coverage (horizontal).
- Compact dimensions and light weight enable installation in various locations.
- Low-noise amplifier included in the set.
- Reception of VHF + UHF bands.
2.3 Installation of the antenna
Aention
Before starting the installation, familiarize yourself with the user manual,
especially the section regarding safety.
Thanks to the use of a universal mounting arm, the antenna can be mounted on a
mast, balcony railing, or wall (anchors not included in the set).
> Start by aaching the arm to the antenna.
> To do this, please use the buerfly screw provided in the kit.

> Aer mounting the antenna outside, please connect the antenna cable to
the F connector on the antenna. Pay aention to the rubber seal, which s
hould be slid onto the F connector aer screwing in the securing screw.
> The other end of the cable, aer bringing it near the television receiver,
should be connected to the amplifier.
> Next, please connect the amplifier to the television tuner or DVB-T decoder.
> Aer connecting the antenna cable, please connect the power to the
amplifier in the correct order. First, plug the power plug into the amplifier,
and then connect the power supply to the 100-230V power source
(50/60Hz).
3 Cleaning
Do not clean the device with a wet cloth or under running water.
Before cleaning, make sure to disconnect the power!

Do not use sponges, cleaning powders, or solvents such as alcohol or
gasoline.
If necessary, use a coon cloth with small amounts of a water-based soap
solution that does not contain alkalis. Gently rub the surface with the coon
fabric.
