Normal use2.1.
The StereoManBT headset is meant as accessory for mobile phones and other blu -
ethooth devices which are supporting on the the following bluethooth proles:
HSP (Headset prole) >
HFP (Handsfree prole) >
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution prole) >
AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control prole) >
Please use this device only in dry rooms and not in a dierent way than described
by the manual
Please do not let the device fallen down on the oor or any other hard surface. it

Safety2.2.
For your safety please read the security advices carefully, before you start using the
device. The manufacturer does not take over any liability for damages caused by inap-
propriate usage or breach of the safety arrangements.
Please do not open the device at any time, you are not allowed to open or rebuild the
device.
In case of inappropriate handling the integrated battery can be damaged. In extreme
cases there might be a possibility of the danger of explosion or Fire.
The device should only be used in temperate zone.
Do not use the device in an extreme climatic environment, you should avoid e.g. heat-
ing or direct sun.
Please use only the corresponding power supply.
Disposal information2.3.
At the end of its useful life span, this device may not be disposed of with your regular
household waste. It must be taken to a recycling collection point for electrical and
electronic equipment.
Bluetooth: Wireless communication2.4.
The wireless Bluetooth technology enables to connect compatible device to each
other. It is a near range of radio technology, meaning that the two connected devices
do not need to have a direct line-of-sight but should not exceed a certain distance.
For this device the maximum distance is 10m.
General Information on this device2.5.
The StereoManBT supports the following Bluetooth proles:
HSP (Headset prole)
This prole delivers the basic functions for the communication between a
mobile phone and a headset.
HFP (Hands-free prole)
The HFP oers in comparison to HSP an extended functionality, e.g. for
using hands-free equipment in the car.

A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution prole)
The A2DP enables the transmission of Stereo-audio signals in higher
quality than HDP and HFP.
AVRCP Audio/Video Remote Control prole
AVRCP is used to send instructions (e.g. rewind, Pause/play) from an
operational device (e.g: Headset) to a certain device (e.g.: media player).
Bluetooth-proles do only work if they are supported by the connected device (mobile
phone, media player) More information can be found in the manual of the correspond-
ing device.
3.6 General information on the battery
The StereoManBT has a integrated rechargeable battery.
For the rst use of the device the battery should be once charged completely.
Please proceed as follows:
Please use the attached USB cable. -
Connect one end of the USB connection with your computer. -
Connect the other end to the- StereoManBT (see Point 2: picture, Pos. 8).
The LED shows the current status:
Red LED is on: Battery will be charged. -
Blue LED is on: Charging is nished. -
if the power is nearly empty, you can hear an adviser sound three times from
the head phone. In this case please connect the StereoManBT as described
above to recharge the headset.
Operation3.
Switch on – and off3.1.
To switch on please press the> multi-function-button (MFT) for 3 seconds. (see
point 2: picture, Pos. 8)
The blue LED is on for 1 second and starts blinking then.
To switch o press the > MFT button again for 3 seconds.
The red LED glows for 1 second and stays out then. >
To save energy, the headset switches o automatically after 5 minutes in case it is
not connected to another device.

Connect the headset with another Bluetooth device3.2.
Before you are able to use the Bluetooth device for the rst time together with other
deivces, you have to connect those devices.
As the process can dier from device to device, we will state the principal process in
the following.
After a successful connection a tone time, the devices do remember each other so
going through the whole connection process again every time is not necessary.
The headset is able to store 8 device connections. In case of a connection to an ad-
ditional device, the rst connection will be deleted.
After switching on the headset the last Bluetooth connection will be reconnected
automatically.
If you like to use another device, please deactivate the Bluetooth mode in the de->
vices you do not want to be connected anymore.
Activating the connection mode3.2.1.
Please assure that your headset is> switched o.
Press the> MFT for 6 seconds.
The LED glows by turns in red and blue. With that the headset is ready to be connect-
ed to another device.
This mode stays active for approx. 2 minutes in case there will be no connection in-
stalled to another device, the headset switches o automatically.
Connection to another Bluetooth-device3.2.2.
To connect to another Bluetooth device, please proceed as follows:
to minimize connection failures, please place the dedicated device within 1m to the >
headset
activate the> connection mode at the headset as described in point 4.2.1.
activate the Bluetooth function at the dedicated device and start searching for>
other available devices.
Please choose “> StereoManBT” from the list of all available devices.
If you are not asked to enter a PIN please use the standard PIN “0000” (not needed >
in case Bluetooth device is supporting V2.1).
Please conrm the connection on your Bluetooth device; when the connection is >
set up the LED is ashing 2 times every 4 seconds.
In case the connection does not work, please switch your headset o and try again
using point 4.2.2.
Set-up a connection to multiple Bluetooth devices3.2.3.
The StereoManBT enables the connection to up to maximum 2 devices at the same

time. The Multipair-function is standardized deactivated (to en- or disable please see
point 4.2.3.1).
Please take note that this is function is not working with 2 mobile phones at the
same time. Please use a mobile phone and a media player alternatively. Possibly you
need to change the bluetooth settings on your device, for that, please use the corre-
sponding manual.
En- or disable Multipair-function3.2.3.1.
To activate the Multipair-function please proceed as follows:
switch the headset on.>
push the> MFT as well as the volume upbutton for approx. 5 seconds.
after an information sound you can release the buttons. >
To deactivate the Multipair-function please proceed as follows:
switch the headset on. >
push the> MFT as well as the volume down button for approx. 5 seconds.
Release the buttons after the information sound appears >
To enhance the stability to a Bluetooth device, disabling the Multipair-function will
be suggested.
Connect 2 devices3.2.3.2.
To establish a connection to two devices, please proceed as follows.
Please connect rst to device 1 (see Point 4.2) >
Switch the Headset o and activate the mode of connection (see 4.2.1) >
Please set up the connection to device 2 (see point 4.2) >
Please set up the connection 1 with device 1. (Please consult eventually the manual >
of device 1)
According to single connections, the connections to two devices will be stored as well
and they reconnect when switch on.
Re-establish connections3.3.
After setting up connections to a Bluetooth device as described in point 4.2, it is not
necessary to reconnect them when devices are switch on again.
When switching on the StereoManBT (See point 4.1), the last device connect to
will be searched and the connection will be set up again automatically.
If the device is e.g. in Standby mode (because there was no active connection)
you just need to push any button on the headset to re-establish the connection
to the last connected device.
Before reconnection, please make sure, that the Bluetooth function at the
other deivce is switched on.
Some Bluetooth devices request a specic release for an automatic connection (In this

case please consult the manual of the dedicated device).
Use the headset for telephone calls3.4.
In case the StereoManBT is connected to a mobile phone via Bluetooth, the operation
of many telephone functions with the headset is possible.
Please take note, that not all mobile phones will support this function. Please consult
the manual of you mobile phone for further information.
The information sounds and functions can dier from mobile phone to mobile phone.
Basic functions3.4.1.
Please nd some further information on the basic functions in the following chapter:
Cancel an outgoing call
To cancel an outgoing call, press the > MFT button quick
Accept an incoming call
Please press the MFT button quick before when you hear your ring tone>
Cancel an incoming call
Press the MFT for 2 seconds>
Finish a call / hanging up
press the> MFT button.
Change the headset volume
press the volume up/down button eventually more often to change the volume of >
the headset in small steps.
Keep the volume up/dowm button pressed to change the volume faster.>
Continuing a conversation via the mobile phone from the headset
keep the> MFT button pressed for 2 seconds during the conversation
You can continue the conversation with your mobile phone >
Continuing a conversation via the headset from the mobile phone
keep the> MFT button pressed for 2 seconds during the conversation
You can continue the conversation with your headset>
Set the headset microphone mute/active
Please press> MFT 2 times in series during the conversation to mute the microphone
Please press the> MFT again 2 times in series to change in the active mode again.
Redialing
Please press the> MFT 2 times to call the last number dialed
Voice – operation
Please press the> pause/play button for 2 seconds to enter the voice-operation. Now
you are able to use the voice-operation function of your mobile phone.
Conference functions3.4.2.
Below some functions are explained in conjunction with telephone conferencing:>
Answer a waiting call and end the ongoing call

> Briey press the Pause / Play button while listening to the call waiting tone .
Accept a second call and put the ongoing call on hold
> Press and hold the Pause / Play button for 2 seconds while you hear the call wait-
ing tone.
Rejecting a call and another to continue the ongoing call
> Press 2 times the Pause / Play button to reject an incoming call .
End the current call and continue the call on hold
> Briey press the Pause / Play button.
Terminate the call on hold and continue the waiting call
> Press 2 times the pause / play button.
Switch between two calls
> Press and hold the Pause / Play button for 2 seconds.
Transfer music3.5.
Via Bluetooth3.5.1.
To play music on your StereoManBT, connect the device rst, as described in Section
3.2 with your desired audio source.
During playback, the following functions are available:
Increase or decrease the volume
> Use the Volume Up and Down button to change the volume.
Skip to the next or previous tracks
> Press the button to jump to the front or back to the next or previous track.
Forward or rewind within the title
> To rewind within a track forward or each key pressed for more Next or Back .
Play pause and continued
> To pause or resume playing a song , press each briey pause / play button
With line-in jack3.5.2.
As an alternative to a connection via Bluetooth you can connect the StereoManBT via
a cable to your audio source. Use to please the included audio cable.
> Connect the Line In jack (Figure point 2 ) with the corresponding connection of your
audio source .
If the StereoManBT is connected via the cable, any existing Bluetooth con-
nections will eventually be ended.
Any additional value added features such as described under 3.5.1 are not
available here.
Restore factory settings3.6.
The StereoManBT can be reset to factory settings.
> Press and hold the multifunction key and the Pause / Play button at the same time

for about 4 seconds
After about 4 seconds the blue and the red LED will light up simultaneously.
Note that after you reset to factory settings all stored Bluetooth connections
are deleted.
After the reset please reconnect to the desired connection(s) as described in Point 4.2.
Troubleshooting Guide4.
Meaning of the LED display4.1.
The red LED lights up:
The battery will currently be charged.-
The blue LED lights:
The battery is fully charged.-
The red and blue LED ash alternately:
The StereoManBT is in pairing mode. (See point 3.2)-
The blue LED ashes once every 2 seconds:
There is no connection to a Bluetooth device.-
The blue LED will blink every 4 seconds 2 times:
The StereoManBT connected with another Bluetooth device.-
The blue LED blinks slowly and continuously:
An outgoing call is setting up.-
An incoming call is coming in (Optical signaling of the ringtone)-
The blue LED ashes briey every 4 second on:
A connected call is going on. -
The red LED blinks instead of the blue LED:
The battery is going down
Meaning of Information sounds / alerts4.2.
Every 10 seconds an information sound comes up twice.
It has a connected call, but the microphone is in mute mode.-
Every 30 seconds three successive information alerts:
The battery is empty-
FAQ5.
What does it mean, if only the red LED lights or glows?
The status of the internal battery is low. Connect the charger.-
Why does not the red LED lights during charging?

Please check that all connectors are properly seated.-
If the headset has not been used for a long time, the battery may be running low. -
In this case, leave the charger connected for at least 30 minutes. After this period,
the red LED will light up and normal charging operation will run.
What is the maximum distance between the phone and headset?
Depending on the Bluetooth standard, the maximum distance is 10 meters. This -
indication depends on the actual environment and may change.
Why does my mobile not nd the headset?
Please note that both devices must be in pairing mode. Further information can be -
found in point 4.2, or in the manual of your mobile phone.
Please take also care, that the maximum distance between the devices is not ex--
ceeded.
Why do I hear anything through the headset?
Make sure that the headset is switched on. You-
Check the volume setting.-
Is the StereoManBT properly connected to your desired Bluetooth device?-
Keep in mind that the maximum range of 10 meters, depending on the structural -
conditions can be signicantly less.
How is it that the voice quality during a phone conversation is not working prop-
erly?
Maybe the network coverage of your mobile phone is weak. -
The maximum distance is exceeded or is restricted by structural conditions.-
Why does not the operation of the Pause/Play- , forward, or back button?
Please note that your desired Bluetooth device must support the AVRCP prole.-
