Replacing Door Handle Pin
1. Check main door hinges are tight – tighten lock nut - and door has no
up or down movement.
2. Remove outer door glass.
Take note of mounting hole position
in hinges for when you re refit the
glass.
3. sing replacement handle
and lug, position lug in place
and check it sits flush. There
may be weld or spatter
sitting where the angle

need to be filed or grind
away

4. Holding angle bracket in place. Angle bracket must be snug against the
rear rib inside the door cap and must sit hard against the face section
where the shaft has broken off.
5. Once axle pin is positioned Mark
one hole using a centre pop to
mark centre then drill 3mm pilot
hole then Drill through then with
8mm bit. Drill right through.
6. Bolt bracket in place using supplied
bolts (16mmx8 mm) tighten bolt to
fix bracket in place. Check and
adjust hole until bracket is perfectly
aligned in its location.
7. Mark the second hole and remove
bracket then centre pop and drill
pilot hole. Check again that
bracket and hole align then drill
second hole with M8 drill. se
8mm burr if holes are out of
alignment

8. se ‘locktight’ on thread of screws, tighten bracket in place.
9. Fit replacement door handle on the new pin.
10. Adjust ball latch so it sits touching ball rider plate.

Handle should self close from this
position.

Stop Bolt – this can be
adjusted to ensure handle is
vertical
11. Adjust so door is firm to
shut but not stressing the latch.
12. Check door safety switches on bottom of door are aligned correctly
and no more than 2mm gap between
sensors. Must not be touching.
Check door switches by going to settings on
screen, Diagnostics, code 2906 enter.
Door switch, check value Top Close; Bottom Close
on both sides.
Open and close the door slowly to see the value
(numbers)move.
These values should be above23+v when door is
shut.
