2General Characteristics
EXA PLUS has all the advanced features, which guarantee maximum reliability and safety:
•All functions are controlled by a micro rocessor, giving full guarantee of high reliability.
•Out ut Voltage regulation through AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulation).
•Overload rotection both in normal mode and in battery mode.
•High erformance battery charger, which extends the battery medium life ensuring an o timal recharge.
•Start u even if the electrical network is not available.
•Automatic restart after an automatic shut down due to a low battery condition once the AC utility ower
returns.
•Ada ts automatically to 50 or 60 Hz in ut frequency.
•LCD dis lay for the visualization of the In ut and Out ut Voltage, Battery Level ercentage, Load Level
ercentage, functioning modes, alarm and fault conditions.
•LCD dis lay with timed backlight, which kee s it active for 1 minute. To reactivate it, it is sufficient to
act on any of the buttons on the front anel.

3Receipt and site selection
Carefully remove the UPS from its ackaging, and carry out a meticulous ins ection. We recommend kee ing the
original ackaging in a secure lace, in case you need to send the UPS for maintenance ur oses. In case of
trans ort damage, notify the carrier and dealer immediately.
We recommend aying attention to the below oints in order to choose a correct lacement for your UPS:
•The UPS is designed to o erate in a rotected environment (e.g. offices). We therefore recommend
installing it in a lace with very little or no humidity, dust or smoke.
•In all circumstances, see the “Technical Characteristics” cha ter for environmental s ecifications and
check that the selected area meets these s ecifications.
•During normal o eration the UPS discharges a minimal amount of heat. So it is necessary to leave at least
20 cm of unobstructed s ace all around the UPS in order to kee it ro erly ventilated.
•Do not obstruct ventilation holes.
•Do not insert objects or our liquids in the ventilation holes.
•Do not rest any object on to of the UPS.
•Do not kee liquids, flammable gases or corrosive substances near the unit.
