Electrostatic Discharge and the CMOS Sensor
Im age sen sor s and the camera bodies housing ar e su scep t i bl e t o d am age f r om el ect r ost at i c d i sch ar ge
(ESD). El ect r ostati c charge introduced to the sensor window surface can induce charge buildup on the
u nd er si d e of t he w i n d ow t h at can not be r ead i l y d i ssi p at ed by t he d r y ni t r ogen gas i n t he sensor p ack age
cav i t y . The ch ar ge nor m al l y d i ssi p at es w i t hi n 24 hou r s and t he sen sor r eturns to normal operation.

In the case of the 2k cameras, only a single l i ne of space separ at es t he col or ed l i nes—w i t h t h e ex cep t i on of
the monochrome line, which has three lines of spacing.

The default setting f or t h i s f eat u r e i s 2, w hi ch i s set f or squ ar e object p i xel s. The set ti ng can be ad just ed
f r om 0 t o 5 t o com p ensat e f or r ect angu l ar p i x el s—w hether they are too long or to short.

Parallax Correction
