Quick Start Guide
TeleEye NX301 Video Server
This Quick Start Guide will take you through the process to install and configure TeleEye NX301 video server for remote
monitoring, recording and playback on a PC
Installation with PoE

Step 1: Connect the video ouput of the camera to NX301 video input
Step 2: Connect NX301 DC output to camera’s DC input Note that the power is 12V DC, 500mA
Step 3: Connect NX301 to network switch / router with 802 3af PoE supported
Step 4: Wait for around 1 minutes for the NX301 to startup
Installation without PoE

Step 2: Connect NX301 to an USB 3G data modem
Step 3: Connect NX301 to the power adaptor
Step 4: Wait for around 1 minutes for the NX301 to startup
IP Setup Utitlity
Step 1: Install IP Setup Utility software
to a PC
Step 2: Run IP Setup Utility software
Step 3: From the IP setup utility, match
your own NX301 by its unique
serial number You can change
its IP/port, etc on the right side
of the window Press
[Apply]
button when you finished

Mobile Data Modem Setup (for Installation with 3G modem only)
Make sure your mobile service provider supports streaming at the Internet connection and you have installed
WX-M4Lite / M16.
Step 1: Execute WX-M4Lite / M16
Step 2: Click Transmitter  Setting in the menu bar
Step 3: In the Transmitter Settings window, click
Connection  3G USB Modem
Step 4: Click “Enabled”
Step 5: Choose Dialup mode: “SMS / Event” or “Startup”
“SMS / Event” Recommended to users who do
not has a real IP for mobile
network connection NX301 will
dial up to the Internet when an
event triggered a dialback action
or receive a vaild dialback SMS
message
“Startup” This mode is only suitable for
users who has a real IP for
mobile network connection
NX301 will dial up to the Internet
when it is powered up
Step 6: Enter APN and Dial Number in Profile 1 or 2
according to the setting of your telecom service
provider
Step : Click [Test 3G USB Modem] to test the
configuration
Step 8: Click [Apply] to save settings
Live Monitoring with Web-Browser
Step 1: On the PC side, open a web browser and type in the IP address of the NX301 (NX301’s IP address of this
example is 210 17 139 146, type in http://210 17 139 146 in a web browser)
Step 2: Type in the Password (The default password is 000000)

Step 4: A monitoring screen will be shown on the browser
WX-M4Lite Reception Software
Users can install WX-M4Lite reception software
from the software CD WX-M4Lite is a back-end
application which works in conjunction with NX
network camera to build up a complete IP and
mobile surveillance system WX-M4Lite allows:
 Up to 4 cameras monitoring
 Triplex operations
 Digital video recording, playback and
electronic patrol
 Sophisticated event management
 Full screen display
WX-M4Lite is a lite version of WX-M16 which provides more comprehensive functions than WX-M4Lite For details of the
above information, please refer to the manual of WX-M4Lite reception software
