GENERAL
The Audiocom SPS-2000isatwo-channelintercompowersupply with
speaker,that occupiesonly 112-rackspace. This unit provides power to
two channelsfor US-2000User Stationsandcontainsa two-input
poweredspeaker. Interna1switchandjumper settings allowthe unit to
be usedwith Clear-ComBcomponents, if desired. Other internalswitch
andjumper settings allowthe unitto be uniquely configured to the
operator's requirements.

OPERATION
EXTERNALCONNECTIONS & CONTROLS
NOTE: The numbers refer to the callouts in Figure 1.

Volume Control
Use this control to simultaneously adjust the speaker level for both
speaker inputlines.

ChannelPower Status Indicators
Theindicatorsare greenfor normaloperationandchangeto redif their
is a short circuit or overload condition on a power output line. If an
indicator turns red, either disconnectthe correspondingchannel con-
nector or turn off the intercomSystem and locatethe problem before
resumingoperation.
3. ßeset
The power status indicators will remain red after sensing a problem,
untilpower is removedfrom the SPS-2000 or reset is pressed. Press
ßesetafter the problemhas been resolvedor the appropriate channel
connector hasbeendisconnected.
4. AC Power lnlet
Connectsthe unitto an AC line and holdsthe linefuse.

5. SPEAKER InputJacks
Thesejacks can be connectedto the SPEAKER outputs of a US-2000
or ES-4000station.They mayalso beusedto connect audio inputfrom
some other line-level program source (an auxiliary output from a radio
or tape player for example).
6. CHN 1 and CHN 2 lntercomChannelConnectors
These connectors carry power to intercom User stations and provide
channel termination for the audio signal.
INTERNALSWITCHES AND JUMPERS
There are several internalswitches andjumpers that affect operation.
These are described below.To gain accessto the switches andjumpers,
remove one screw from the top Cover and two screws on each side.
Switch and jumper locations are shown in Figure2.
BalancedIUnbalanced Switch(S200)
Set this switch to the balanced (BAL) positionto use the US-2000with
Audiocom intercomchannels. Set the switch to the unbalanced (UNBAL)
positionfor use with a Clear-ComBintercom System. (The factory default
setting isthe balanced positionfor use with Audiocom.)

Warranty Repairs
- If inwarranty, no charge will be made for the repairs.
Equipment being returned for warranty repair must be sent prepaid and
will be returnedprepaid.
Non-Warranty Repairs
- Equipmentthat is not under warranty must be
sent prepaidto Telex. If requested,an estimate of repair costs will be is-
sued prior to service. Once your approval for repair, and repairof equip-
ment is completed,the equipment will be returnedon a collect basis.
Collect charges may beavoided by sending a signed check for payment
infull along with your signed estimate approval form (the estimate in-
cludes the shippingcharge).
