Installation instructions for kit number 9015047
SYNOPSIS:
This kit contains the parts needed to replace the sweeping circuit board on M17 sweeper- scrubbers.
Please follow step-by-step instructions.
SPECIAL TOOLS / CONSIDERATIONS: NONE
(Estimated time to complete: 1 hour)
PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT
Please dispose of packaging materials, used machine components
such as batteries and fluids in an environmentally safe way according
to local waste disposal regulations.
Always remember to recycle.
PREPARATION:
FOR SAFETY: Before leaving or servicing
machine, stop on level surface, turn off
machine, set parking brake, and remove key.
1. Disconnect the battery cable from the
machine.
WARNING: Always disconnect battery
cables from machine before working on
electrical components.

INSTALLATION:
FRONT
Remove and set
SEMS M8 hex screw
and left cover aside

1. Remove the left cover from the machine to
access the sweeping electrical box. Set the
cover and the SEMS M8 hex screw aside.
(Fig. 1)
NOTE:To avoid damaging electronic
components, the static ground strap (3) must be
worn at all times when handling / installing the
new sweeping circuit board (1) onto the machine.
Attach the other end of the static ground strap to
the machine chassis.

Replace sweep
circuit board with
new sweep circuit
board (1)
Electrical
enclosure
If necessary,
replacestandoffs
with new
standoffs (2)
Loosen SEMS
M6 hex screws
(Qty. 2)
NOTE:To avoid damaging electronic components, static ground strap (3) must be worn at all times
when handling / installing new sweep circuit board (1) onto machine. Attach other end of static
ground strap to machine chassis.

2. Remove the SEMS M6 hex screw, M6 hex
nut, and flat washer securing the support
plate / side sweep circuit board to the
electrical enclosure. Set removed hardware
aside. (Fig. 2)
3. Carefully remove the support plate / side
sweep circuit board from the electrical
enclosure and place support plate / side
sweep circuit board out of the way. Do Not
break electrical connections when removing
the support plate / side sweep circuit board
from the electrical enclosure. (Fig. 2)
4. Disconnect all harness connections from the
sweep circuit board. (Fig. 2)
5. Remove both M4 pan screws and nylon
washers securing the sweep circuit board to
the electrical enclosure. Set removed
hardware aside. (Fig. 2)
6. Remove the sweep circuit board from the
electrical enclosure. Discard the sweep circuit
board. (Fig. 2)
7. If necessary, replace the broken standoffs in
the electrical enclosure with new standoffs (2).
Loosen both SEMS M6 hex screws securing
the electrical enclosure to the machine to
access the standoffs. (Fig. 2)

8. If the electrical enclosure was loosened to
replace standoffs, reposition the electrical
enclosure onto the SEMS M6 hex screws and
tighten the SEMS M6 hex screws to secure
the electrical enclosure to the machine.

9. Connect the main wire harness connectors
to the sweep circuit board (1)
10. Place the sweep circuit board (1) onto the
plastic standoffs (2) and use the two M4 pan
screws and nylon washers to secure the
sweep circuit board to the electrical enclosure.
To prevent damaging the sweep circuit board,
Do Not over tighten the M4 pan screws.

11. Reinstall the support plate / side sweep circuit
board onto the electrical enclosure. (Fig. 2)
12. Reinstall the left cover onto the machine.
(Fig. 1)
13. Reconnect the battery cable to the machine.
14. Start and test the machine. Place the machine
into the sweep mode and operate the
machine to ensure the sweeping system is
functional.
