2.0 TEACHING ID CODE
Every monitor has a unique ID code that must be “taught or transferred” to the wireless handheld unit. This unique ID code allows
multiple monitors to be used in one location without interference. Perform the following procedure to teach the handheld unit:
On Wireless Handheld Unit without Display:
1. Press POWER button to turn on electronics.
2. Press and hold both LEFT & RIGHT buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
3. Continue to hold the LEFT & RIGHT buttons and then press UP button for 2 seconds.
4. Release buttons.
5. After several seconds, the OSC & PARK lights will flash rapidly to indicate that the unit is in teach mode.
On Wireless Handheld Unit with Display:
1. Enter configuration mode by pressing center MENU button for 5 seconds
2. Press & release MENU button until RFID LEARN is displayed above LEFT button
3. Press & release RFID LEARN button. Radio will configure and wait for ID code
On Monitor Control Box:
1. Apply power to monitor.
2. Press and hold both LEFT & RIGHT buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
3. Continue to HOLD the LEFT & RIGHT buttons and then press UP button for 2 seconds.
4. Release buttons.
5. After several seconds, the OSC & PARK lights will flash rapidly to indicate that the unit is in teach mode.
ID code is automatically transferred to the wireless handheld unit.
1. OSC & PARK lights on handheld unit will stop flashing after ID code is transferred.
2. Press DOWN button on monitor control box to exit teach mode.
3. Cycle power off and back on to monitor.
In the event the handheld unit does not link up with the monitor, perform the following at the monitor operator station and the
handheld unit:
1. Turn off power.
2. Press and hold DOWN button.
3. Apply power to the monitor, continue to hold DOWN button for 3 seconds.
4. Release DOWN button.
5. After green POWER light stops blinking, test wireless handheld unit.
6. Repeat above procedure for “Teaching ID Code”.
3.0 CHANGING BATTERIES IN WIRELESS HANDHELD UNITS
1. Remove two (2) screws on backside of the handheld unit and slide bottom half of the rubber bumper off the enclosure.
2. Replace four (AA) batteries, Lithium Recommended, verifying that polarity is correct.
3. Replace the rubber bumper and retaining screws.

• When the operator station and RC Monitor are purchased at the same time, the handheld unit
will be pre-taught at factory.
• If the monitor is mounted to an RC Extend-A-Gun, ensure the Extend-A-Gun is in the raised
position.
• Before teaching, monitor should be powered down.
• If multiple monitors are present, to avoid possible conflicts, apply power only to the monitor
being taught.
• Do not mix battery types.
• Properly dispose of old batteries.
• Do not puncture, incinerate, or disassemble batteries.
