MASTERLINK HARDWARE INSTALLATION
Masterlink Contents:
1 X PP3 Rechargeable Battery
1 X Masterlink Hardware Module
1 X Data Download Cable (to connect the hardware module to a
Thermomax unit)
Connecting The PP3 Battery:
1 Remove the sliding cover at the back of the Masterlink Hardware Module.
2 Connect the PP3 Battery, observing correct polarity.
This battery may be recharged when required by using a standard PP3
charger or the PP3 battery may also be charged by connecting the
masterlink hardware to the Thermomax datalogger unit using the data
download cable supplied. The Reader Module is auto-sensing and
switches itself off when not in use.
Note: The 1m download cable must be removed from the Masterlink
Hardware module before upload commences.

Connecting the Masterlink hardware Module to a Thermomax Datalogger
1 Using the 1 meter Data Download cable, which is supplied with the
Masterlink Hardware Module, insert the plug with the black marker, into the
top left hand corner of the Masterlink Module.
2 The other end of the Data Download cable is inserted into the Shielded
Eight-Way Socket of the Thermomax Datalogging unit.
Warning !!, all old data stored on the Masterlink Hardware Module will be
erased each time a data transfer is initiated from the Thermomax unit.
Transferring data does not erase the datalogger’s internal databank.
3 Press the key on the Thermomax Datalogger unit to select a data
transfer.
4 Then press the key activate the data transfer. This operation will
transfer the entire contents of the Databank to Masterlink Hardware module.
The module will automatically detect the type of datalogger to which it is
connected, and will transfer this information to the PC when the module is
connected to a PC using the Thermomax Masterlink Software.
5 The duration of the transfer is proportional to the amount of data which
had been stored to the datalogger’s internal databank. When the data
transfer is complete the datalogger will display a message “TRANSFER
COMPLETE”, “PRESS ANY KEY”. The data has now been transferred.
Connecting the Masterlink hardware Module to a PC.
1 Using the 5 meter PC Data Upload cable, supplied with the Thermomax
Masterlink Software, insert the Shielded 8-Way plug into the top right
hand corner of the Masterlink Module (as shown above).
Note: The 1m download cable must be removed from the Masterlink
Hardware module before upload commences.
2 Insert the 9- Way D-Type connector into any free Serial Port connection
at the back of your P.C. (Com1 to Com4 may be used.)
The Masterlink Software will transfer the entire contents of the databank to
the PC, the duration of the transfer is proportional to the amount of data
which had been stored to the masterlink hardware. For details on the
operation of the Masterlink Software please read the software manual
included with the Masterlink Software.

INSTALLATION DU BOîTIER HARDWARE MASTERLINK
Contenu:
1 X pile rechargeable
1 X boîtier Masterlink
1 X câble ‘Data Download’ (à raccorder entre le boîtier et I’unité
Thermomax)
Mise en place de la pile:
1 Dégagez le couvercle glissant au dos du boîtier.
2 Mettez en place la pile PP3 en faisant attention aux polarités.
Cette pile peut être rechargée quand elle le nécessite, en utilisant un
chargeur standard ou en raccordant le boîtier a l’unité Thermomax. Le
module de lecture du boîtier reconnaît tout seul son état et s’éteint lorsqu’il
n’est pas utilisé.
Nota: Le câble de téléchargement de 1m doit être enlevé du boîtier de
transfert de données MASTERLINK avant de commencer le téléchargement.

Connection du boîtier Masterlink à un enregistreur Thermomax
1 Utilisez le câble d’un mètre ‘Data Download’ fourni avec le boîtier
Masterlink et insérez la fiche réperée en noir dans l’emplacement en haut à
gauche du boîtier.
2 L’autre extrémité du câble ‘Data Download’ doit être raccordé au port de
communication (8 brins protégés) de l’unité d’enregistrement Thermomax.
Attention: Toutes les données contenues dans le boîtier Masterlink seront
éffaçées à chaque nouveau transfert de données depuis une unité
Thermomax. Par contre, cela n’affecte pas les données contenues dans la
mémoire interne de l’enregistreur.
3 Pressez la touche de l’unité Thermomax pour sélectionner le mode
transfert de données.
4 Puis validez la touche pour activer le transfert. Cette opération
transférera la globalité de la mémoire de la banque de données vers le boîtier
Masterlink. Ce dernier détectera automatiquement le type d’enregistreur
auquel il est raccordé et transmettra ulterièrement cette information au PC
lors du transfert des données du boîtier au logiciel Thermomax Masterlink
2.0.
5 La durée du transfert est proportionnelle à la quantité de données
contenues dans la banque de données interne de l’unité. Lorsque le transfert
est achevé, l’enregistreur affichera ‘TRANSFERT ACHEVÉ’, ‘PRESSEZ UNE
TOUCHE’. Les données viennent d’être transferées au boîtier.
Connection du boîtier Masterlink à un PC
1 Utilisez la câble de 5 mètres ‘PC Data Upload’ fourni avec le logiciel
Thermomax Masterlink 2.0 et insérez la fiche (8 brins protégés) dans
l’emplacement en haut à droite du boîtier Masterlink (comme mentionné plus
haut).
2 Insérez le connecteur 9 broches de l’autre extrémité du câble dans le port
série libre à l’arrière de votre PC (COM1 à COM4 peuvent être utilisés).
Le logiciel Masterlink se chargera de transférer le contenu de la mémoire du
boîtier au PC. La durée du transfert est proportionnelle à la quantité de
données stockées dans le boîtier. Pour plus de détails concernant le logiciel
Masterlink, veuillez vous référer au manuel fournit avec.

1 Entfernen Sie die verschiebbare Hinterseite des Hardwaremoduls.
2 Verbinden Sie die PP3 Batterie. Hinweis: Die Polarität muß in Ordnung
sein.
Man kann die ACCU Batterie mit einem Standardgerät aufladen
Das Schreibermodul hat eine automatische Funktion um selbst
auszuschalten.
Hinweis: Das 1 m lange Kabel um Daten von der Masterlink Hardware
herunterladen muß zunächst entfernt werden, bevor commences geladen
werden können.

Datenerfassungsgerät
1 Stecken Sie den Stecker der mitgelieferten Übertragungskabel in die
obere linke Ecke des Masterlinkmodul.
2 Stecken Sie das andere Ende des Übertrgungskabeles in den 8 poligen
Stecker des Thermomaxgerätes.
Hinweis: Bei der Übertragung werden die gespeicherten Daten auf dem
Masterlink Hardware Modul gelöscht. Bei der Übertragung sind die Daten auf
der internen Datenbank nicht gelöscht.
3 Drücken Sie die Taste, um eine Übertragungsfunktion zu wählen.
4 Die Daten können direkt auf die Masterlink Hardware übertragen werden,
wenn man die Taste drückt. Jetzt werden alle gespeicherten
Informationen auf die Masterlink Hardware übertragen. Hinweis: Hardware
weiß automatisch was für ein Gerät Sie haben.
5 Die Dauer der Übertragung hängt von der Quantität der gespeicherten
Informationen ab. Wenn die Übertragung fertig ist, wird ‘Transfer Beendet’ ,
‘Drucke Belieb. Taste’ angezeigt. Die Übertragung ist jetzt fertig.
Verbindung der Masterlink Hardware mit einem PC
1 Stecken Sie das 8 polige SX ‘Upload’ Kabel (inkemit der Thermomax
Masterlink Software) in die obere rechte Ecke des Masterlinkmoduls. siehe
unten.
2 Stecken Sie den 9 poligen ‘D Typ’ Verbindungsstecker in den freien
Eingang des PCs (Com 1 bis Com 4).
Die Masterlink Software wird den ganzen Inhalt der Datenbank auf den PC
übertragen. Die Dauer der Übertragung hängt von der Quantität der
gespeicherten Informationen ab. Für weitere Information über die Masterlink
