Installation
1. To avoid breakdowns, we suggest that you install the
speaker in the areas where the ambient temperature is
rom -15°C to +50°C. In snowy areas, protect unit
rom the snow.
2. When installing the speaker, use the optional mounting
bracket or outdoor installation. Also, take care about
the ollowing:
(1)The bottom sur ace o the speaker has two air
vents and one drain hole. Be sure to mount the
speaker with that side down, taking care that such
holes are not blocked. (The drain hole is or drain-
age o rainwater that enters the horn.)

(2)As shown in the igure below, the speaker can be
positioned at any angle rom 0° (horizontal) to a 45°
downward angle. As this mounting range permits
ree drainage o rainwater rom the inside o the
speaker, do not exceed this range, nor direct the
speaker upward.

Overload protection device
The speaker is provided with individual overload protec-
tion devices or woo er and tweeter. (When the woo er's
device is activated, the woo er's output signal level is
attenuated by about 15 dB, while the tweeter is cut o i
the tweeter's device is activated.) I the sound volume o
the woo er or tweeter suddenly decreases during use,
this indicates that the protection devices have leaped into
action. In such a case, lower the speaker input power
level once irst to wait till the protection devices automati-
cally return to the normal condition (about 2 to 20
seconds). A ter they are reset, use the speaker turning
down the volume a little more than be ore.
