USING YOUR TOASTMASTER APPLIANCE
• The appliance requires 900 watts and should be the only appliance
operating on the circuit.
• Plug into any 120 volt AC wall or base outlet. Initially, some smoking
may occur. This is normal for newly manufactured appliances and
will not recur after the first few uses.
• The appliance is on whenever plugged in. Take care to unplug when
not in use.
• Reverse grids only when cool.
To remove, press down on metal clip at front of grid until grid is
released. Slide grid forward and up until grid is free of hinge tabs.
To replace, slip grid under hinge tabs at back of unit. Lower grid so
it is in line with case. Press grid downward until clip snaps over grid.
Be sure to replace grids with like surfaces together.
Note:
In changing grid surfaces the first few times, you may notice
blue shadows on the under side of the grid and case. The grid
surface should be wiped off with a damp cloth before conditioning
and cooking.

CONDITIONING GRIDS
The grid surface being used requires conditioning before each heating
that follows washing. To condition, spray or brush the grid surface
with cooking oil. Preheat to the temperature recommended for food
to be cooked. The grids are ready to use.
To protect the premium quality nonstick surfaces, use only plastic, nylon
or wooden utensils. Carefully follow suggested cleaning procedures.
