Dustbagindicator andchanging thedustbag
Forpeakperformancethedustbag shouldbe changedwhenfull.The
mechanicaldustbagindicator window willgraduallyturn red when filling
and completely red when full.
Ifthedustbag should getbrokenin the cleaner,takecleaner to service
centrefor cleaning.This isnot coveredbytheguarantee.
Thedustbag full indicatormay signifythatthe bagis blocked
(occasionally caused by finer dust) which will cause loss of suction and
mayresultinoverheating.Ifthisoccurschangethebagevenifitisnot
full.DONOTVACUUMVERYFINEDUST(PLASTER,CEMENT,COLDCINDERS...).
To check the dustbag, the cleaner must be switched on, with all
attachmentsconnected butthenozzle doesnot haveto be placedon the
floor.
To change the dustbag:
7Open the cleaner cover.
8Remove the dustbag from its holder.
8-7 Insertthenew dustbag intotheholder. Close cover.
We recommend the dustbag is changed after using a carpet cleaning
powder or if there is a bad smell from the cleaner.

Dustbag safety device
Toavoiddamaging the cleaner,donot use it withouta dust bag. Asafety
deviceis fittedwhich preventsthecoverclosingwithoutadustbagin
place. Do not attempt to force cover shut.
Changing/cleaning the filters
Never use the cleaner without the filters in place.
Thefiltersshouldbechanged/cleaned approximatelyeveryfifthdustbag.
To maintain Motor Protection filter:
7-8 Open the cleaner cover.
9Removethefilterunit,rinse thefilter underwarmtapwateronly and
drythe filtercompletely (12-13).The originalfilteringperformance is
now restored. Replace the unit back into the cleaner and close cover
ensuring it is securely in place and the cover is properly closed.
Latesteverysecondyear replace the old filter with anewone.
To maintain exhaust filter / Micro filter (some models):
10 Press the catch to open the filter cover.
11 Removethefilterunit,rinse thefilter underwarmtapwateronly and
drythe filtercompletely (12-13).The originalfilteringperformance is
now restored. Replace the unit back into the cleaner and close cover
ensuringit isproperlyfastened.
Latesteverysecondyear replace the old filter with anewone.
To maintain HEPA filter (some models)
10-11 Pressthecatchto open the filter cover andremovefilterunit.
14 Rinsetheinside (dirty side)ofthe filter unit underwarm tap water
only.
Do not use cleaning agents and avoid touching the delicate
filterservice.
Tap the filter frame to remove excess water. (15)
Repeatcleaning procedurefour timesand allowthe filterto airdry.
Theoriginalfiltering performance isnowrestored. Replace the unit
backintothecleaner.
Latesteverysecondyear replace the old filter with anewone.
Troubleshooting
Power:
iftheelectric power does not comeon,disconnect from mains
andcheckplugs, cable and fuses where appropriate.
Thecleanermayswitch itself off in event of severeblockageor
excessivelydirty filters. Insuch cases,disconnectfrom mainsandallow
tocoolfor30 minutes. Clear blockage and/or replace filter(s)andrestart.
Theclearing ofblockedhoses isnot coveredbythe guarantee.To avoid
blockagesandmaintain suction efficiency,thefloor nozzles should be
cleaned regularly using the hose handle.

Water:
if water is sucked into the cleaner the motor must be changed at a
servicecentre. This isnot covered bytheguarantee.
