Dustbagindicator andchanging thedustbag
Forpeakperformancethedustbagshouldbe changedwhen full.The
mechanicaldustbagindicator window willgraduallyturn red when filling
and completely red when full.
Ifthedustbag should getbrokenin the cleaner,takecleaner to service
centrefor cleaning.This isnotcoveredbythe guarantee.
Thedustbag full indicatormay signifythatthe bagisblocked
(occasionally caused by finer dust) which will cause loss of suction and
mayresultinoverheating.Ifthisoccurschangethebagevenifitisnot
full.DONOTVACUUMVERYFINEDUST(PLASTER,CEMENT,COLDCINDERS...).
To check the dustbag, the cleaner must be switched on, with all
attachmentsconnected butthenozzle doesnot havetobe placedon the
floor.
To change the dustbag:
7Open the cleaner cover.
8Remove the dustbag from its holder.
8-7 Insertthenew dustbag intotheholder. Close cover.
We recommend the dustbag is changed after using a carpet cleaning
powder or if there is a bad smell from the cleaner.

Dustbagsafety device
Toavoid damagingthe cleaner,do notuse itwithout adust bag.A safety
deviceis fittedwhich preventsthe coverclosing withouta dustbag in
place. Do not attempt to force cover shut.
Changing/cleaning the filters
Never use the cleaner without the filters in place.
Thefiltersshouldbechanged/cleaned approximatelyevery fifthdustbag.
To maintain Motor Protection filter:
7-8 Open the cleaner cover.
9Removethefilterunit,rinsethefilter underwarm tapwateronlyand
drythe filtercompletely (12-13).Theoriginalfilteringperformance is
now restored. Replace the unit back into the cleaner and close cover
ensuring it is securely in place and the cover is properly closed.
Latesteverysecondyear replace the old filter with anewone.
To maintain Micro filter:
10 Press the catch to open the filter cover.
11 Removethefilterunit,rinsethefilter underwarm tapwateronlyand
drythe filtercompletely (12-13).Theoriginalfilteringperformance is
now restored. Replace the unit back into the cleaner and close cover
ensuringit is properlyfastened.
Latesteverysecondyear replace the old filter with anewone.
Troubleshooting
Power:
iftheelectric power does not comeon,disconnect from mains
andcheckplugs,cable and fuses where appropriate.
Thecleanermayswitch itself off in event ofsevereblockageor
excessivelydirty filters. Insuch cases,disconnectfrom mainsandallow
tocoolfor30 minutes. Clear blockage and/or replacefilter(s)andrestart.
Theclearing ofblockedhoses isnot coveredbythe guarantee.Toavoid
blockagesandmaintain suction efficiency,thefloor nozzles should be
cleaned regularly using the hose handle.

Water:
if water is sucked into the cleaner the motor must be changed at a
servicecentre. This isnotcovered bytheguarantee.
