Note:Thecentercuttingunitrequiresremovalfor
sharpeningunlessanoverheadliftisavailable.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceandengagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Raiseandsecurethecuttingunitswiththetransport
latches.
3.Shutofftheengineandremovethekeyfromthe
ignitionswitch.
4.Ifnecessary,removethecentercuttingunit.
5.Removethecastweightfromthecuttingunit.
6.Locktherotorintoplacebyttingtherotorlockwith
theexistingfasteners(Figure1).

Ensurethatthepersonsharpeningtheblades
hasbeenadequatelytrainedinhowtosafely
useahand-heldgrinder.
Gentlysharpentheanglededgeonthebackoftheail
bladeusingasmallanglegrinder.Whilegrindingthe
blade,keepthecuttingedgeperfectlyhorizontaland
theangledsurfaceattotheground(Figure3).Donot
grindthefrontfaceoftheailblade.Usethegrinder
gentlysotheaildoesnotgethot;otherwise,thesteel
willloseitshardness.Keepanewbladeasareference
andrefertoitwhengrinding.Neversharpenthe
