batterypacks.Useofanyotherbatterypacksmay

C.Whenbatterypackisnotinuse,keepitawayfrom

Important:Thebatterypackisnotfullychargedwhenitis
purchased.Beforeusingthehedgetrimmerfortherst
time,placethebatterypackinthechargerchargeuntilthe
LEDindicatorsturngreen.Makesuretoreadallsafety
precautions.Withregularuse,itwillneedshortercharging

Thetrimmerwillstayonaslongasthetriggerswitchis
squeezed.Lock-offswitchmaybereleasedoncehedge
trimmerisrunning(Figure2).

Decidehowhighyouwantthehedge.Stretchapieceof
stringalongthehedgeatthedesiredheight.Trimthehedge
justabovetheguidelineofstring.
•Trimthesideofahedgesothatitwillbeslightlynarrowerat
thetop.Moreofthehedgewillbeexposedwhenshapedthis
way,anditwillbemoreuniform.
•Weargloveswhentrimmingthornyorpricklygrowth.When
trimmingnewgrowth,useawidesweepingaction,sothatthe
stemsarefeddirectlyintothecuttingblade.

Note:Thetrimmerbladeshouldbeoiledbeforeandaftereach
use.
1.Stopthemotorandremovethebattery.
2.Cleandirtanddebrisfromthebodyofthehedgetrimmer,
usingadampclothwithamilddetergent.
Note:Donotuseanystrongdetergentsontheplastic
housingorthehandle.Theycanbedamagedbycertain
aromaticoilssuchaspineandlemon,andbysolventssuch
askerosene.
3.Laythehedgetrimmeronaatsurface.Applylightweight
machineoilalongtheedgeofthetopblade.Ifyouwillbe
usingthehedgetrimmerforanextendedperiodoftime,itis
advisabletooilthebladeduringuse.
