This manual covers the following models:
P310-1110: For 1-Heat/1-Cool systems
P310-1210: For 2-Heat /1-Cool heat pump systems
(Remove thermostat from wallplate and find model number on the wallplate.)
CAUTION: EQUIPMENT DAMAGE HAZARD.
To prevent possible compressor damage, do not use Cooling mode when the
outdoor temperature is below 50 °F (10 °C).

Your new Totaline thermostat has been designed to give you many years of reliable service
and easy-to-use, push-button climate control.

Simply perform the three steps below and the thermostat is in operation:
Set the clock .................................................................................................. See page 5
Select whether to heat or cool ....................................................................... See page 6
_) Select whether to run the fan continuously or only when needed ................. See page 7
Your thermostat is pre-programmed with Energy Star® settings. If you do not wish to use
these settings, you can:
Modify the schedule .................................................................................... See page 10

you press any button. Up/Down buttons
Press to adjust temperature.

•Cool: System is in Cooling mode.
• Off: System is off.
• Heat: System is in Heating mode.
•Em Heat: System is in
Emergency Heat mode,
Fan switch (see page 7)
• On: Fan runs continuously.
• Auto: Fan runs only when
heating or cooling is taking place.

Clock Schedule period
System status
•Cool @:
Cooling is activated. *
• Heat _ :
Heating is activated. *
• Stg2:
Auxiliary heat is activated. **
Low-battery warning (see page 14)
*When Heat _ or Cool @is flashing, compressor protection is
engaged (see page 13).
** Applies to P310-1210 model only.
Temporary schedule

Permanent schedule

Setpoint indicator
Appears when the setpoint
temperature is displayed.
The ambient (measured)
temperature is normally
displayed. To view the setpoint
temperature, press either
temperature adjustment button
once. The setpoint temperature
will appear for five seconds.

O Press the Set button. Set Time will appear on the screen
and the time display will flash.
O Press the Up or Down button to set the time.
Press the Set button again. Set Day will flash on the screen.
O Press the Up or Down button to select the day of the week.
Press the Run button to save the changes & exit. (The
changes are also saved if you do not press any button for 60
seconds.)
NOTE: The clock has lost its settings when the time display flashes. If the thermostat is
following the schedule, it will use the temperature settings programmed for Period 1 of the
weekdays until you readjust the clock.

d; Use the System switch to place the system in one of the

i _ 0 • Heat: System is in Heating mode.
•Em Heat: System is in Emergency Heat mode. Only

Do not use Cooling mode when the outdoor temperature is below 50 °F (10 °C).

Use the Fan switch to select the fan operation.
• Auto: The fan runs only when heating or
cooling is activated (commonly used
setting).
• On: The fan runs continuously. Use this
setting for improved air circulation or for
more efficient air cleaning.
