QUICK START GUIDE
For those familiar with vaping devices,
the steps below can be followed to allow
the Vape-Pen to be used in the shortest
possible time:
• Fill / prime the cartridge.
• Inhale on the mouthpiece (the Otium
Vape-Pen has automatic operation).
• Charge the battery (it will possibly not
have been shipped with a full charge).

USING THE OTIUM VAPEPEN
Filling/Priming the Cartridge
Note: It is important to “prime” a new
cartridge before first use. Failure to
do so can cause the atomizer head to
overheat, leading to an unpleasant taste
and sometimes irreversible damage
to the atomizer head requiring early
replacement.
To prime the cartridge, remove the
mouthpiece from the cartridge by
unscrewing, fill the cartridge and leave
to sit for 5 minutes before vaping. This
ensures the atomizer head within the
cartridge is fully saturated with e-liquid
before use.

Vaping:
Inhale gently on the mouthpiece of
the Otium Vape-Pen and it will begin to
produce vapour, the LED at the bottom of
the device will illuminate when the device
is activated.
E-liquid Level:
To prevent the atomizer head within the
cartridge from becoming dry and burning
prematurely, ensure the e-liquid level
does not drop below the atomizer head
fluid feed holes visible at the bottom of
the cartridge.

Charging the Battery:
The Otium Vape-Pen is charged by
inserting the bottom of the device into
the magnetic charging connector and
inserting the USB connector into a
suitable power supply. The indicator light
will illuminate blue while charging. Once
fully charged, the blue indicator light will
switch off.

Replacing the Cartridge:
To replace the cartridge, unscrew the
cartridge from the battery and dispose of.
Attach the new cartridge to the battery
and follow the instructions as outlined in
the “Filling/Priming the Cartridge” section
of the manual to set up the new cartridge
for use.

PROTECTIONS
Short Circuit Protection:
If an atomizer short circuit occurs during
use, the blue indicator light at the bottom
of the device will flash three times and
the Otium Vape-Pen will switch off.
Replace the cartridge and charge the
battery to restore power to allow normal
operation to resume.
No Cartridge Detected:
If no cartridge is detected whilst the
device is being activated, the indicator
light will flash continuously. If this
happens, ensure the cartridge is properly
fitted, referring to the appropriate
instructions within the manual.
Atomizer Head Protection:
If you inhale on the Otium Vape-Pen for
more than 10 seconds, the indicator light
will flash eight times and the Otium Vape-
Pen will switch off. Charge the battery to
restore power and allow normal operation
to resume.

PRECAUTIONS:
• Store the Otium Vape-Pen and its
accessories away from children when
not in use.
• Please only use the charging cable
provided.
• Please dispose of dead batteries
in accordance with your country’s
appropriate legislation.
• Do not charge the battery in a damp
environment, or in temperatures under
0°C or above 45°C.
• Do not use the device in temperatures
under -10°C or above 60°C.
• Do not carry batteries in a pocket or
bag with other metallic objects.
• Do not attempt to dismantle or repair a
faulty Otium Vape-Pen battery as these
are sealed units with no serviceable
parts. Attempted repairs will void the
warranty.

There are no reported medical side
effects with this product. If you believe
you experience a side effect, please
contact the manufacturer.
WARRANTY:
The Otium Vape-Pen battery has a 6
month warranty. The Otium Vape-Pen
cartridges are consumable items and are
covered by “dead on arrival” warranty
only. The USB cable supplied has a 12
month warranty. If any parts are found to
be faulty within this time please contact
our customer service team, whose details
are on the back page of this booklet and
we will arrange for a replacement. We
may require the goods to be returned for
further investigation.

GEBRAUCH DER OTIUM VAPEPEN
Kartusche befüllen/präparieren
Hinweis: Es ist wichtig eine neue
Kartusche vor dem ersten Gebrauch
zu „präparieren“, andernfalls kann
das Heizelement überhitzen – dies
führt zu unangenehmem Geschmack
sowie irreversiblen Schäden, das einen
vorzeitigen Austausch der Kartusche
erfordert.
Entfernen Sie zum Präparieren das
Mundstück von der Kartusche. Befüllen
Sie den Tank mit E-Liquid und warten Sie
5 Minuten bevor Sie mit dem Dampfen
beginnen. Dies stellt sicher, dass der
Verdampferkopf in der Kartusche vor
dem ersten Gebrauch vollständig mit
E-Liquid gesättigt ist.
Hinweis: Die maximale Breite
des Nachfüllbehälters für
die Kartuschenöffnung der
Otium Vape-Pen liegt bei 2,8mm.

Dampfen:
Ziehen Sie sanft und nicht zu hastig
am Mundstück. Die Otium Vape-Pen
erzeugt hierbei automatisch Dampf
und quittiert durch Aufleuchten einer
LED die Aktivierung.
E-Liquid Level:
Damit der Verdampferkopf in der
Kartusche nicht vorzeitig durch
Austrocknen anbrennt, stellen Sie bitte
sicher, dass der E-Liquid Stand nicht
unter die Flüssigkeitszufuhrlöcher am
Boden des Tanks abfällt.

Akku aufladen:
Die Otium Vape-Pen wird durch
Einstecken der Unterseite in den
magnetischen Ladeanschluss
aufgeladen, der an einer geeigneten
USB-Stromquelle angeschlossen. Eine
LED leuchtet während des Ladevorgangs
blau. Sobald der Akku vollständig
aufgeladen ist, erlischt die blaue
Kontrollleuchte.

Kartusche wechseln:
Zum Auswechseln der Kartusche die
Kartusche vom Akku abschrauben und
entsorgen. Schrauben Sie die neue
Kartusche an den Akku und befolgen
Sie die Anweisungen im Abschnitt
„Kartusche befüllen/präparieren“
dieser Anleitung.

SCHUTZFUNKTIONEN
Kurzschluss-Schutzfunktion:
Wird ein Kurzschluss erkannt, blinkt
die blaue LED 3-mal auf und die Otium
Vape-Pen schaltet sich ab. Ersetzen Sie
in diesem Fall die Kartusche durch eine
Neue und laden Sie den Akku vollständig
auf, um den Betrieb fortzusetzen.
Kartusche nicht erkannt:
Wenn die Kartusche bei Aktivierung nicht
erkannt wird, blinkt die LED kontinuierlich
auf. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Kartusche
vollständig an den Akku geschraubt
wurde wie zuvor in dieser Anleitung
beschrieben.
Verdampfer-Schutzfunktion:
Wenn Sie länger als 10 Sekunden ziehen,
blinkt die LED 8-mal auf und die Otium
Vape-Pen schaltet sich ab. Laden Sie den
Akku auf, um die Stromversorgung und
den normalen Betrieb wiederherzustellen.
