WARNINGS
Please read and adhere to the following notes. Failure to do so could result in personal
injury caused by electric shock and/or property damage caused by malfunction.
No person other than a service engineer should disassemble, repair or modify this Controller, unless it is
specically described in this manual. Failure to do so may result in electric shock or product malfunction.
• This product is not intended for unsupervised use by persons (including children) who require
monitoring, assistance, or orientation. Provide constant safety supervision for such individual. Also
monitor children so that they do not play with the product.
• After opening the package, promptly dispose of unneeded packaging. There is a risk that children
may place cardboard or plastic bags over their heads, leading to accidents.
• Be sure to install the product in the correct orientation according to this manual. It could result in
malfunction or accident.
• Never operate this product unless the tank is completely full of water. Turning on the “HEAT” switch
with an empty or partially empty tank will result in malfunction or property damage.
• Before touching the air intake valve, make sure that the water in the tank is completely drained.
There is a risk of burns.
• When draining the tank, be sure to turn the “HEAT” switch to “OFF” to avoid Dry Firing. It could
result in malfunction or burns.
• Use this product in combination with TOTO touchless faucet only. Otherwise leakage could result.
• When the amount of hot water coming out decreases, check and clean the stop valve and the
feed inlet filter. If the filter is clogged, the amount of hot water may decrease or the device may
malfunction.
• Makes sure the spout nozzle is securely tightened. If the faucet is used with the nozzle loosened the
nozzle may pop out during water flow resulting in injury.
• Do not touch hot water when draining as very hot water may come out. Also, do not touch the
drainage tube because it is hot. There is a risk of burns.
• Risk of electrical shock and fire hazard. Do not use extension cord. Do not store combustibles that
can burn easily such as paper or clothing next to the water heater. Do not operate Controller if it has
damaged electrical connections, if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged or dropped.
• Do not strike or kick the Controller, as this may damage the unit or cause a leak.
• Unplug the product if it will not be used for a long period of time.
• Install the pipe with a slope so that water can be drained smoothly. If it freezes, it may be damaged
and water may leak.
Caution for location
• Do not use this faucet in a humid location where running water or condensation may collect on the
surface, especially in a sauna or steam room.
• As the product is intended for indoor use, do not install it outside. Electrocution or malfunction could
result.
• This product is not suited for use in cold areas, so if there is a risk of freezing, be sure to take
freezing prevention measures (insulation material, electric heater, etc.). There is a risk that the
product could break due to freezing, leading to leakage.

WARNINGS
Caution for power plug
• Do not splash water on the product or power plug.
• Do not install the Controller unit or the outlet for the power plug in an area where water, oil, cleaning
agents, etc. could be spilled on it.
• Do not connect or disconnect the power plug with wet hands.
• Do not touch the power plug during thunderstorms.
• Do not alter the power cord (cutting, extending).
• Do not use a power source other than specified (AC120V, 60Hz). The power supply must be
separately switchable.
• Do not handle the cord roughly or plug it into a loose outlet.
• Electrical work should always be carried out by qualified personnel (electricians) in accordance
with relevant laws, ordinances, and regulations, and lines should be grounded. There is a risk that
incorrect electrical work could lead to malfunction or electrocution due to electric leakage.
• Only connect the controller to a GFCI protected outlet that is connected to a surge protector rated
no more than 15A. Do not use damaged or loose outlet.
• Remove dust on the blade of the power plug regularly about once a month and insert it firmly to the
root. If dust accumulates on the power plug, insulation may be damaged due to moisture.
• Be sure to unplug the power plug from the outlet when cleaning.
• Unplug the power plug from the outlet when the unit will not be used for a long time. It may cause an
unexpected accident.
Caution for water quality
• Supply tap water only. If well water, desalinized water or similar are used, leakage due to corrosion
can result.
• If hot water stays in the equipment or piping for an extended period of time the water quality may
deteriorate. Please drain any hot water that has remained in the equipment or piping for a long time.
Limitation of use
• Do not connect appliances that create resistance, such as water purifiers and water-saving devices,
to the outlet of the faucet. Breakage of the device or leakage could result.
• Hot water is not used for beverages. It may cause diarrhea and abdominal pain.

BEFORE INSTALLATION
• The minimum required water supply pressure (owing) is 15 psi (100 kPa) , and the maximum water
supply pressure (static) is 80 psi (551 kPa). Please use within this pressure range only.
• Please record the name of the installer, the supplier, and the date of installation.
• Please use a exible water supply line. Rigid metal piping or similar is not recommended; as sealing
material may get inside, leading to malfunction.
• Please note that we do not take any responsibility or liability for Dry Firing and construction failure.
• Please be sure to read the product warning labels.
• Install the Controller in an accessible location where daily inspection is possible.
• Observe all Plumbing and other relevant Local Codes.
• If the supply pressure is higher than 80 psi (551 kPa), reduce to within recommended range by using a
pressure reducing valve (sold separately).
• Check the temperature of the water supply:The recommended supply temperature range is 39°F-110°F
(4°C-43.3°C)...Please conrm if the temperature range is correct.
Never use steam as a hot water supply.
• Flush all water lines prior to installation.
• Pay special attention so that the sensor surface is not damaged or scratched during the installation
process.
• Make sure that all pipework, stop valves, and connection lines are installed according to local codes.
• Do not place other devices that use an inverter or infrared sensor near the faucet, as this may cause the
faucet to malfunction.
• Turn off the water supply at the stop valve.
• Before connecting to the feed inlet, be sure to turn on the water supply at the stop valve, inspect all the
connections for any leaks and ush out approximately 5 gallons (20L) of water to remove debris from the
pipes. Any debris that breaches the lter will enter the heater, which may result in malfunction or leakage.
