Congratulations on the purchase of your Touchstone Whisper Lift II PLUS TV lift. Touchstone Home Products

minutes to learn about the features of your TV lift to ensure you get the optimum use and performance from your
new purchase.

Safety
Mounting your flat screen TV to the Touchstone Whisper Lift II PLUS TV lift is fast and easy. Operating your lift
is very straightforward. However, to avoid the risk of personal injury and to ensure optimum performance of your
TV lift mechanism, please pay particular attention to the warnings and safety notices throughout this manual.
IMPORTANT SAFETY and PRE-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Please adhere to the proper installation procedure as detailed in the installation instructions.
2. Safety precaution measures must be practiced at all times during installation of this product.
3. The entire installation instructions should be fully read and understood before beginning installation.
4. At least two people should be available to lift the TV onto the lift mechanism. Please take care when
handling your flat screen TV, as injury and damage can result from dropping or mishandling of the TV.
5. Plasma screen TVs should remain upright at all times. Never place the screen face down on the floor. This
could cause damage to the TV.
6. The stand on your flat screen TV is removable! Please remove the stand prior to installing the TV on the
lift mechanism. Consult your TV’s owner’s manual for instructions for removing the stand.
7. Carefully measure all dimensions of your LCD, PLASMA, or LED TV before proceeding. Then consult the
Mounting and Installing the TV section of this manual for maximum TV size.
IMPORTANT!: After installing your TV, you may find there is room in the bottom of the cabinet to install
a small cable/satellite TV box. Carefully inspect the space between the bottom of the TV and the bottom of
the cabinet to see if your component will fit in the bottom of the cabinet. Consult the Mounting and
Installing the TV section of this manual for more information.
8. All cords connecting components to the TV should be a minimum of 72” (6 feet) in length when installing
components inside of a cabinet or a minimum of 144” (12 feet) in length when installing components
outside of cabinet (length of cable will depend on placement of your component).
9. WARNING!: TV lift mechanism contains moving parts. Please keep hands, arms, and fingers away from
the lift and cabinet lid opening when the lift is in motion. Cables should be wire-tied or secured neatly so
lift does not contact them during operation. Also, keep all components away from the lift mechanism.
10. Do not place cabinet under objects mounted overhead, such as wall-mounted cabinets. Damage can result to
TV or lift is there is not enough room between TV on lift and objects mounted overhead.

- Screwdriver (doesn’t matter which type)

Assembling Your Whisper Lift II PLUS
Replacing Actuator Motor
Tools Needed:
- Pliers
- Screwdriver
- Hammer
Parts Needed During This Step:
- Whisper Lift TV Lift
- Whisper Lift II PLUS Actuator Motor
Instructions:
1. Remove TV from lift.
2. Put the Whisper Lift II in the down position.
3. Remove Whisper Lift II from TV Cabinet.
4. Locate actuator motor on back of Whisper Lift II.

5. Remove the top cotter pin and locking pin that attaches to the actuator motor to the Whisper Lift II body.

body.

7. Put the new actuator motor in place so that the motor portion of the actuator is facing to the right.

9. Line up the hole in the top of the actuator motor with the mount on the back of the Whisper Lift II body and
install the top locking pin and cotter pin.

Instructions:
Installing Control Box
1. Place control box on floor of cabinet out of the way
of the operation of the lift.
Attach Cables to Control Box
1. Attach the lift cable to the Actuator 1 Output port on the control box.
2. Attach manual switch to Manual Switch Input port on the control box.

Operating the Whisper Lift II PLUS
Operating the Wireless Remote
The remote control for your Touchstone Whisper Lift II PLUS is controlled via radio frequency. You do not need
to point the remote control directly at the cabinet to operate the lift.
Pairing Wireless Remote with Lift
Prior to using the lift with the wireless remote, the remote control will need to be paired to the lift and control box.
To pair the wireless remote control with the lift and control box, follow the instructions below:
1. Using the manual switch inside of the cabinet, press the DOWN button and allow the lift to go all the way down
inside of the cabinet.
2. Once the lift is all the way down, PRESS and HOLD the DOWN button on the manual switch. You will hear 2
sets of beeps about 3 seconds apart. The green light on the control box will flash green.
3. After the 2nd set of beeps, press the DOWN button on the wireless remote to pair the remote to the lift. If the
pairing was successful, you will hear 3 beeps.
The wireless remote is now paired with the lift and can be used to control the lift.

Resetting Lift Mechanism When Lift Loses Power
When the control box loses power, whether through a power outage or unplugging the lift from the wall outlet, the
lift will need to be reset prior to operation. To reset the lift, do the following:
1. Using the manual switch inside of the cabinet, press the DOWN button and allow the lift to go all the way down
inside of the cabinet.
2. Once the lift is all the way down, the lift will be reset. You can now control the lift with either the wireless
remote control or the manual switch.
Battery Replacement
Your remote control takes 2 CRx3032 batteries. To replace the batteries, remove the 3 screws holding the back
cover of the remote in place. Remove batteries and install 2 new batteries.
Setting Child Safety Lock
Security/Child Safety Feature (Lock Mode):To enable this feature, the lift must be lowered to its lowest
position. Press the DOWN button on the handset and hold for approximately 5 seconds to enable the
Security/Child Safety Feature (Lock Mode). The LED indicator on the control box will flash quickly in orange and
you will hear a single beep indicating the Lock Mode is enabled. All the lift controls (handset, remote controls,
12V trigger, and RS-232 port) are disabled. The orange light will continue to blink quickly as long as the lift
remains in Lock Mode.
Note: Release the DOWN button on the handset once you hear the first beep. If you continue to hold the DOWN
button and hear a second beep, then you will have preformed a different function (Pairing Wireless Remote with
Lift) and the Security/Child Safety Feature will not have been activated.
Active Mode: The lift controls can be enabled temporarily for 5 minutes when the lift is in Lock Mode. Press the
DOWN key once and the UP key twice to enable the Active Mode temporarily. The LED indicator on the control
box will flash slowly in orange and you will hear a short beep indicating the Active Mode is enabled. All the lift
controls (handset, remote controls, 12V trigger, and RS-232 port) will be enabled for 5 minutes; after this period of
time, the lift will automatically switch back to Lock Mode. While in Active Mode, the orange indicator LED will
flash slower than when the lift is in Lock Mode.
Disabling the Security/Child Safety Feature (Lock Mode): Press the UP button once and the DOWN button
twice on the handset while the lift is in Lock Mode to disable the Security/Child Safety Feature (Lock Mode). The
LED indicator on the control box will turn solid green and you will hear two beeps indicating the Lock Mode has
successfully been disabled. All the lift controls (handset, remote controls, 12V trigger, and RS-232 port) will be
enabled.

Connecting Components
The control box comes equipped with 2 switched AC receptacles that you can plug components into.
If you choose to use the outlets, please note that each time you raise or lower the lift, any component plugged into
the outlets wil be powered on or off.
For certain components that may have long reboot/restart times, such as Cable Boxes, Satellite Receivers, or DVRs,
you may find it more efficient to plug those components directly into the wall outlet or into a power strip that sits
on the floor of the cabinet.
RF-IR Conversion Kit
The Whisper Lift II PLUS comes with a RF-IR Conversion Kit which allows you to operate the lift with an IR
remote control. This kit also gives you the capability of programming a universal remote control to work with the
Whisper Lift II PLUS.
Note: To program a universal remote control to operate the Whisper Lift II PLUS, follow the learning instructions
of your universal remote control to learn the codes of the Whisper Lift II PLUS. There are no codes needed to
program a universal remote control to operate the Whisper Lift II PLUS.
