About This Guide
This guide provides a brief introduction to the Tapo Smart Hub and the Tapo app, as well as regulatory information.
Please note that features available in Tapo may vary by model and software version. Tapo availability may also vary by region. All images, steps, and
descriptions in this guide are only examples and may not reect your actual Tapo Camera experience.
Conventions
In this guide, the following convention is used:
Convention Description
Blue Key information appears in teal, including management page text such as menus, items, buttons and so on.

Introduction
Tapo Smart Hub works as your smart home ecosystem center. It connects up to 64 smart buttons, sensors, or Sub-1G switches** + 4 cameras or
video doorbells (Tapo C420, Tapo C400, Tapo D230) to build a smart ecosystem for your home.
• Works with Tapo Smart Devices* – Connect up to 64 smart buttons, sensors, or Sub-1G switches** + 4 cameras or video doorbells (Tapo C420,
Tapo C400, Tapo D230) to build a smart ecosystem for your home.
• Smart Alarm & Chime – Turn your hub into a smart alarm or chime by pairing it with Tapo cameras, video doorbells, sensors, and more. 19 built-in
ringtones are also provided for your choice.
• microSD Card Slot (Up to 512 GB)†– Insert a microSD card to store recorded videos of the connected cameras and doorbells.
• Wireless/Wired Networking – Connect your Hub to your home network via wired or wireless connection.
†microSD card needs to be purchased separately.
*Tapo H200 can work with Tapo smart sensors, buttons, Sub-1G switches, cameras and video doorbells. Scan the QR code to visit the Tapo website
for all supported products.
**Tapo H200 only supports Sub-1G devices working in specied frequency bands:
863.35MHz, 864.35MHz, 868.35MHz (for EU/UK) or 920.9MHz, 921.7MHz, 922.3MHz (for US/AU). Actual supported bands may vary by region/
country.

Set Up Your Camera
Follow the steps below to get started with your new hub.
Step 1. Connect the Hardware
Get the Tapo app from the App Store or Google Play, or by scanning the QR code below.

Get the Tapo app from the App Store or

Step 3. Log In
Open the app, and log in with your TP-Link ID.
If you don't have an account, create one rst.
Step 4. Set Up
Tap the button in the app and then the
Tapo brand. Select Hubs and then your model.
Follow app instructions to set up your hub.

Install a microSD
If you want the connected cameras to record videos locally, insert a microSD card to your hub.
Initialize the microSD card within the Tapo app.
You can go to microSD Card in the Status Page to check the card status or format your card.

Manage Your Hub
After you successfully set up the hub, you will see your device listed on the home page. You can view and manage your hub from anywhere at any time
with the Tapo app.

Check camera playback.
Check devices connected to the hub.
Share the hub with family members.
Check microSD card status;
Format microSD card;
Check storage status.

Settings Page
On Status page, tap to enter the settings page. You can change your device name and location, set network connection (connect your hub to Wi-
Fi), select ringtone, turn on/o status LED, set auto reboot time, etc.

Safety Information
