General Information
Congratulations on your choice of a
Trane mini-split system. These
systems have been carefully designed
and manufactured under strict Trane
Worldwide Quality Standards to
provide you with years of comfortable,
convenient cooling with a minimum
of service.
This Owner Manual is given as a guide
to start-up, operation and periodic
maintenance by the user of MCC split-
system. It does not contain the full
service procedures necessary for the
continued successful operation of this
equipment. The services of a qualied
service technician should be
employed, through the maintenance
contract with a reputable service
company.
Read it completely before doing
anything with your air conditioning
system.

personal safety and the proper
operation of this machine require that
you follow them carefully. The Trane
Company assumes no liability for the
inappropriate usage of the unit.
About the Unit
These MCC units are assembled,
pressure tested, dehydrated, charged
and run tested before shipment. The
information contained in this manual
applies to MCC units are designed to
operate in cooling mode only.
Trane MCC series oer ceiling
mounted installation to leave the oor
space uncluttered, and equipped with
LCD wireless remote control.
Reception
On arrival, inspect the unit before
signing the delivery note. Specify any
damage of the unit on the delivery
note, and send a registered letter of
protest to the last carrier of the goods
within 72 hours of delivery. Notify the
dealer at the same time.
The unit should be totally inspected
within 7 days of delivery. If any
concealed damage is discovered,
send a registered letter of protest to
the carrier within 7 days of delivery
and notify the dealer.

places in this manual to indicate to
installers, operators and service
personnel of potentially hazardous
situations which, if not avoided,
COULD result in death or serious

maintenance or failure to comply with
the manufacturer’s instructions, is not
covered by the warranty obligation. If
the user does not conform to the rules
described in Owner Manual, it may
entail cancellation of warranty and
liabilities by The Trane Company.

Installation of Batteries
1. Remove the cover from the back of
the remote control.
2. Insert the two batteries into the slot.
(Be sure that the + and - directions
are correct.)
3. Fix the cover to the back of the
remote control.
Cautions Regarding the Batteries
• The batteries can be used for
approximately one year.
• Do not use rechargeable (Ni-Cd)
batteries, because such batteries
dier from standard dry cell batteries
in shape, dimensions and
performance.
• Be sure to replace the batteries with
two new batteries of the same type
as each other.
• Remove the batteries if the air
conditioner is not going to be used for
and extended period of time.

Indicators on Infrared
Remote Control
System Operating Selection
FAN Only System Operation
- Press POWER button (the display
panel shows the previous settings).
- Press MODE button to select the
system operating mode, FAN mode
will be shown on the display.
- Press FAN button to select any fan
speed. The FAN display will show
LOW, MED, HIGH or AUTO
according to fan speed level, low,
medium, high and auto.
COOLING System Operation
- Press POWER button (the display
panel shows the previous settings).
- Press MODE button to select the
COOL operating mode, “COOL”
mode will be shown on the display.
- Press either TEMP or TEMP
button to set the desired room
temperature. Temperature set
range is 18
O
C to 30
O
C.
- Press FAN button to select any fan
speed. The FAN display will show
LOW, MED, HIGH or AUTO
according to fan speed level, low,
medium, high and auto.
DRY System Operation
- Press POWER button (the display
panel shows the previous settings).
- Press MODE button to select the
DRY operating mode, “DRY” mode
will be shown on the display.
- Press either TEMP or TEMP
button to get the desired room
temperature setting at the
indication. Temperature set range
is 18
O
C to 30
O
C.
- The system automatically cycle the
compressor and fan (low speed) to
remove moisture from the air
without overcooling the room.
Timer Operation
Once you select the timer operation,
the settings are saved in the remote
control. Thereafter, the air
conditioner will start operating under
the same conditions when you simply
push the POWER button of the remote
control.
Setting STOP Timer
You can set the STOP timer to stop
the unit automatically at any desired
time up to 24 hour ahead.
Setting START Timer
You can set the START timer to start
the unit automatically at any desired
time up to 24 hour ahead.
Setting Auto-Stop Timer
You can set the stop timer to stop....
- During the operation of the
air-conditioner, press the TIMER
button and the air conditioner will
enable stop timer to automaticall
turn o the unit
- Press the HOUR button to set the
time you want to turn o the unit.
Every time the button is pressed,
hour indicator will be increased by
1 hour
- After the time is set, the digits shown
on the display screen will go
down by 1 for every elapsed hour
- Press the TIMER button again to
cancel timer

Setting Auto-Start Timer
You can set the stop timer to start...
- When the air-conditioner is in the
standby mode, press the TIMER
button and the air conditioner will
enable start timer to automaticall
turn on the unit
- Press the HOUR button to set the
time you want to turn off the unit.
Every time the button is pressed,
hour indicator will be increased by
1 hour
- After the time is set, the digits shown
on the display screen will go
down by 1 for every elapsed hour

This feature automatically adjusts the
temperature setting to provide
more comfortable sleeping condition
and save energy
- Press SLEEP button, one hour
after pressing, the air conditioner
will automatically raise the set
temperature by 0.5 C
- Half an hour after, the air
conditioner will automatically raise
the set temperature by 0.5 C
- The air conditioner will
automatically stop its operation
in 8 hours

Maintenance
- Swing up the grille until the latches
click into the positions.
Cleaning the Unit
Clean the air conditioner and the
remote control with dry cloth or a
vacuum cleaner. If damp cloth is used,
remove moisture by using dry cloth
afterward.
At the Start of the Season
- Check that nothing blocks the air
inlet and outlet of indoor and
outdoor units.
- Running the unit without an air lter
can cause malfunctions due to dirt
or dust. Always install an air lter at
all times.
- Check that a drainage hose does
not bend or clog.
- Check that the units are properly
installed.
During the O Season
- Cut o the power supply main
switch.
- Clean the air lter and other parts.
- Leave the circulation fan running for
2-3 hours to dry out the inside of
the unit.
Suggestion:
- If the lter is dirty, it will cause the
reduction of airow, the unit is
overload and consume 6% more
of electricity. So, regular cleaning
is necessary.
Replacing Air Purifying Filter
(Option)
Replacement of air purifying lters.
(recommend once every three months)
- Open the grille by pulling the
latches from the front frame.
- Swing the grille open and remove
the air lter out o the grille.
- Unscrew the lter frame and
remove the air purifying lter from
the lter frame.
- Re-insert the air lter to the grille,
swing up the grille until the lacthes
click into the positions.
Information
- Airow volume is reduced when
an air purifying lter have been
installed.
Cleaning the Air Filters
Before inspection and maintenance
of the unit, always set the main
power switch to “OFF” to cut o
power supply.
- Unclip the grille from the front
frame by pull the latches from
the front frame.
- Swing the grille open and remove
the air lter out o the grille.
- Remove the air lter and clean by
vacuum cleaner or if it is very dirty,
wash it with soap water then wipe
o unit it is completely dry before
reinstallation.

System Operation
- The temperature should not be
set lower than what you need.
This would result to increase
energy cost.
- Clean the air lter every week for
higher eciency.
- Draw close curtains or close glass
windows when cooling to prevent
heat load from sun light which may
cause more electricity cost.
- To distribute cool air through out
the room, adjust air ow direction
to diuse cool air.
- Close windows and doors while
operating the unit to prevent
leakage of cooled air to save
energy.
- In case of ineective ventilation,
open the window to ventilate the
room air once in a while but not
too long since cooled air will be
uselessly drained out.
- Check electrical system (voltage
and frequency). Use the proper
power supply indicated on the unit
to operate the air conditioner and
only fuses with specied capacity.
Do not use pieces of wire instead
of fuse.
- Do not insert objects into the air
inlet or outlet when the air
conditioner is running as it may
cause damage or personal injury.
- Do not channel the air ow directly
at people, especially infants, aged
persons, or patients.
- Turn o the air conditioner if, while
running electricity interference
occurs. If the unit is not to be used
for a long time, cut o the power
supply main switch.
- Do not locate any obstacles
against the air ow direction of
indoor and outdoor units. Inecient
performance or malfunction may
result.
- Do not locate a heater or any other
heat sources close to the unit. The
heat may deform the plastic parts.
