UsingtheDockingstationinWindows

Uponcompletingthesoftwareinstallation,thetasktrayutilityiconshouldappearin
yourdesktoptasktrayatthebottomright‐handcorner.Thetasktrayutilityiconwillnot
beavailableuntilyourcomputerisconnectedtothedockingstation.Thegeneral
settingsallowyoutosetupyourvideoandaudioconfigurationofyourcomputerdisplay
andcheckfordriver/andutilityupdates.

First,rightclickonyourdesktopandselectScreenResolutionandidentifyyour
monitors.


Clickthetasktrayutilityicontoconfigureyouradaptersettings.


Note:Ifyoudonotseethetasktrayutilityicon,pleasecheckyourUSBconnection.

DisplayLinkUtility
TheDisplayLinkutilityallowsyoutoconfigurethedisplaymode,screenresolution,and
physicalarrangementforeachconnectedmonitor.Whenyouhave2additionalmonitors
connectedtothedockingstation,youwillseethemonitorslistedseparately(seeimage
below).Thenumberfollowsthemonitornumberidentifiedfromyourcomputer.Select
thecorrectmonitorandthenconfigurethedisplaymodes.



DisplayModes
Thereareseveralwaysyoucanutilizethemonitorattachedtothe
adapter.Thesecondarymonitorcanbeconfiguredtouseeither“mirror
mode”,“extendedmode”orbetheprimarydisplayasdescribedinthis
section.

Extend

Inthisso‐called“extendedmode”,thismodelisusedbydefault.Your
displaywillbespreadoverthesecondarymonitor(s).Thismodeallows
youtoperformmultipletasksmoreeffectivelywithoutoverlapping
windows.




ClickontheDisplayLinkiconandselectExtendtoRight/Left/Above/Belowtoconfigure
themonitororientationasshownintheabovepicture,oruseoneofthesettings
describedbelow.



Mirror

Thismodeisreferredtoas“mirror”or“clone”mode.Inthismode,themonitor
attachedtotheUSBtoHDMIAdapterduplicateswhatisontheprimarydisplay.

ClickontheDisplayLinkDeviceiconandselectMirrortoduplicateyourdisplay.In
Windows7,theDisplayLinkDeviceiconwillbehidden.Pleaseclickthearrowsignand
rightclicktheDisplayLinkDeviceiconandselectAdvanced.Or,positionthemouse
anywhereonyourcomputer’sdesktop,right‐clickandselectScreenResolution.



Onlyoneexternalmonitorcanbemirroredtoyourcomputer’sdisplay.


AdjustingResolution

Therearethreecomponentsthatmakeupthescreenmode:
Resolution:Incommonusage,thisreferstothenumberofpixelsdisplayedonscreen
horizontallyandvertically.
Refreshrate:Measuresthespeedthattheentirescreenisrescanned.Higher
frequenciesreduceflicker.
Somemonitorsadvertisethesupportedmodesthroughthevideoconnector.Ifthisisthe
case,theadapteridentifiesthesupportedmodesfromthemonitor.Ifthemonitordoes
notadvertisethesupportedmodes,theadaptersoftwarechoosesasetofcommon
screenmodesforthemonitor.


FittoTV

The”FittoTV”functionisforHDMITVconnections.Anewuserinterfaceoptionallows
thecorrectionofoverscanonTVswhenusingaUSBtoHDMIadapter.The”FittoTV”
functionallowsausertochangethesizeoftheirWindowsdesktoptoallowtheentire
desktoptobeviewed.

1. ClickontheDisplayLinkDeviceiconandselect“FittoTV”toenablethis
function.
 

2. Thefollowingwindowwillappear.
 

3. TheredbordershowsthesizeofthenewWindowsdesktop...

 

4. Usethe"+"and"‐"controlsontheFittoTVGUItochangethesizeofthered
borderuntilitfitsontheTVscreen.
Note:Finerconfigurationofthesizeofthebordercanbeachievedbyholding
downtheCTRLkeyandclickingthe“+”and“‐”.

Before:

OncetheredborderisattheedgesoftheTVscreen,click"Apply"toresizethe

OnceyourMacsystemhasbeenrestarted,youarenowabletoclickontheSystem
PreferencesiconandgointotheDisplaysettings.



Thebuilt‐indisplayscreenwillappear,clickontheGatherWindowstab.


ChangingMonitorResolution

Allconnecteddisplayswillappear.


Ifyouwouldliketochangethedisplayresolution,selectthemonitorandthenthe
appropriatesupportedresolution.


Extend

Whenadditionalmonitorsareconnected,MacOSwilldefaultthedisplaysintoextended
mode.


Themonitorthat’sshownwithwhitebarontopisthebuilt‐indisplay;theothersarethe
extendeddisplays.Youcanclickonadisplayanddragittotheleftorrighttodetermine
theextendedlocation.


Mirror

WheninMirrormode,additionaldisplayswillduplicatethemaindisplay’scontents.
Clickthe“MirrorDisplays”optiontoenablethisfeature.Alladditionaldisplayswillalso
maintainthemaindisplay’sresolution.


Ifaproductdoesnotoperateaswarrantedduringtheapplicablewarrantyperiod,
TRENDnetshallreservetheright,atitsexpense,torepairorreplacethedefective
productorpartanddeliveranequivalentproductorparttothecustomer.The
repair/replacementunit’swarrantycontinuesfromtheoriginaldateofpurchase.All
productsthatarereplacedbecomethepropertyofTRENDnet.Replacementproducts
maybeneworreconditioned.TRENDnetdoesnotissuerefundsorcredit.Please
