Owner's Manual Addendum
Model: OMNISMART1050M
The OMNISMART1050M UPS System includes all of the features and functions described in
the accompanying owner's manual with the exception of the information listed in this addendum.
QUICK INSTALLATION
The OMNISMART1050M will not automatically turn on in the presence of
live utility power. After plugging the UPS into the wall outlet, push the
“ON/OFF” Button for one second to turn the UPS on.
BASIC OPERATION
STORAGE & SERVICE
Storage
All connected equipment should be turned off, then disconnected from the UPS to avoid battery drain. Press and hold the
"ON/OFF" Button for one second. The UPS will be completely off (deactivated). Your UPS is now ready for storage. If you
plan on storing your UPS for an extended period of time, fully recharge the UPS batteries once every three months by plug-
ging the UPS into a live AC outlet, turning the UPS on (by pressing and holding the "ON/OFF" Button for one second) and
letting the UPS charge for 4 to 6 hours. If you leave your UPS batteries discharged for an extended period of time, they will
suffer a permanent loss of capacity.
“ON/OFF” Button
•To turn the UPS on: press and hold the “ON/OFF” Button for one second.*
If utility power is absent, pressing the button will “cold-start” the UPS
(i.e.: turn it on and supply power from its batteries**).
•To turn the UPS off: press and hold the “ON/OFF” Button for one
second.* The UPS will be completely off (deactivated).
* The alarm will beep once briefly after the indicated interval has passed. ** If fully charged.
Note: the OMNISMART1050M's “ON/OFF” Button will not place the UPS in “Charge-Only” Mode.
“LINE POWER” LED: this green LED lights continuously to indicate that
the UPS is on and supplying your equipment with AC power from a utility
source.
Note: the OMNISMART1050M's “LINE POWER” LED will not flash because the UPS cannot be
placed in “Charge-Only” Mode.

El sistema UPS OMNISMART1050M incluye todas las características y funciones descritas en

INSTALACIÓN RÁPIDA
El OMNISMART1050M no se encenderá automáticamente en presencia de
energía eléctrica utilitaria. Después de conectar el UPS al tomacorriente en la

las baterías del UPS cada tres meses conectando el UPS a un tomacorriente activo, prendiendo el UPS (presionando y man-
teniendo presionado el botón "ON/OFF" pro un segundo) y dejándolo cargar por 4-6 horas. Si deja las baterías del UPS
descargadas por un período extendido de tiempo, estas sufrirán pérdida permanente de capacidad.
Botón “ON/OFF”
•Para encender el UPS: presione y mantenga presionado el botón
“ON/OFF” por un segundo*. Si la energía eléctrica utilitaria se encuentra
ausente, el presionar el botón encenderá el UPS “en frío” (El UPS se
encenderá proporcionando energía de sus baterías**).
•Para apagar el UPS: presione y mantenga presionado el botón “ON/OFF”
por un segundo.* El UPS se apagará completamente (desactivado).
* La alarma sonará una vez al pasar el intervalo indicado.
** Si la unidad se encuentra completamente cargada.
Nota: El botón “ON/OFF” del OMNISMART1050M's no activará el UPS en modo de “Carga de
baterías solamente”.
LED “LINE POWER” (Energía en línea): este LED verde se enciende
continuamente para indicar que el UPS está encendido y proporcionando
corriente alterna.
Nota: el LED “LINE POWER” no se encenderá intermitentemente pues el UPS no tiene la
característica de “Carga de baterías solamente”.
