Neverrechargeafullychargedbattery.
Overchargingshortensthebatterylife.
Chargethebatterywithroom
temperaturebetween0˚Cand40˚C
(32˚Fand104˚F).Idealcharging
temperatureis15˚Cto30˚C(59˚Fto
86˚F).
• Ensurethebatteryiscoolbefore
chargingit.Donotchargeahot
battery.
• Chargethebatterywhenyoudonot
useitformorethanthreemonths.
• Avoidrepeatedrechargingofpartially
dischargedbatteries-itcanleadto
NiCad"memory"whichreducesrun
time.“Memory”effectcansometimes
bereducedoreliminatedbyseveral
fullchargeanddischargecycles.
Beforeusingyourcordlessdrill. YourbatteryisUNCHARGEDandyoumust
chargeoncebeforeuse.Yourbatterywillnotbefullychargeduntilyouhave
performedseveralchargeanddischargeoperationsbychargingandworkingwith
yourdrill.Afterthisyourbatteryperformancewillimprove.

thechargingcycleiscomplete.
Note:A dischargedbatteryatnormal
ambienttemperaturewilltakearound
1hourtoreachfullcharge.
4. Thebatterycannowberemovedfor
useinyourdrill.Note:Thecharger
timercircuitandbatterytemperature
safetycut-outdeviceprevent
overchargeofthebattery.
TheLEDworklightdrawsverylittle
powerfromthebatteryandwill
continuetooperatewhenthebatteryis
tooflattodrill.Thisisnormal.
WARNINGS:
•Whenyouchargeanewbatteryora
batterywhichhasnotbeenusedfor
alongperiodoftime,itmaynot
acceptafullcharge. Thisisanormal
conditionanddoesnotindicatea
problem.Youcanrechargethebattery
fullyafterdischargingitcompletelyand
rechargingseveraltimes.
•Donotchargeabatteryfromajust
operatedtoolorabatterywhichhas
beenleftinalocationexposedto
directsunlightorheatforalong
time. Waitforthebatterytocooldown
beforecharging.

OPERATION - Basic Features
Trigger switch
Beforeinsertingthebatteryintothetool,alwayschecktoseethattheswitch
operatesproperlyandreturnstothe“OFF”positionwhenreleased.
Tostartthetool,pullthetrigger.
Releasethetriggertostop.

hatdelivershigherspeedandtorque
ithincreasedtriggerpressure.
Donotoperateforlongperiodswithonly
lightpressureonthetrigger,asexcess
heatwillbeproducedinternally.Usethe
LO (1)speedsetting.
Electronicbrake
Thistoolhasanelectronicbrake.The
brakeengagesonreleaseofthetrigger.
Changing drill direction
Thebuttonlocatedabovethetrigger
controlsthedirectionofrotation.
Fordrillingthebuttonshouldbe
pushedinfullyfromtheright,asshown
below.
• Thedirectionisreversedwhenthe
buttonispushedinfullyfromtheleft.
• Whenthebuttonisinthecentre
position,thetriggerislocked.
CAUTION:
• Alwayscheckthedirectionofrotation
beforeoperation.
• Neverchangethedirectionofrotation
whenthechuckisrotating,waituntilit
itcomestoacompletestop.
• Whennotoperatingthetool,always
setthebuttontothecentreposition.
