Operating Precautions
BATTERY USE AND CARE
Recharge only with the charger specied by the manufacturer. A
charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a
risk of re when used with another battery pack.
Use power tools only with specically designated battery packs.
Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and re.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal
objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small
metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns
or a re.
Under certain conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery;
avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water.
If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid
ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
Always remove the battery when the Ice Auger is not in use, or
before maintenance or to free the blade when stuck.
The Ice Auger has a sharp blade that can cause injury
or damage to property. Always use the blade protector
when the tool is not in use.
This tool is for drilling into ice. Do not use it for any other purpose
or with accessories not supplied by Trophy Strike. Never attempt to
modify the tool, or to bypass any of the safety features.
DO NOT USE A DAMAGED BATTERY. If the battery case is cracked
or shows other signs of damage, it should be replaced. Batteries
and chargers should be recycled or disposed of properly. Do not
disassemble the battery or dispose of in re.
Avoid using in adverse weather conditions where the powerhead is
exposed to moisture.

Operation
CHARGING THE BATTERY
1. Plug the charger into an AC outlet 120V (normal household
voltage).
2. Insert the battery into the slots of the charger and slide into place
until the battery locks into place
3. The LED will ash green while the battery is charging. Once the
battery is fully charged, the LED indicator will show a steady
green light.
4. Remove the battery by pressing and holding the latch button and
sliding out of the charger. Lithium Ion batteries have no memory
effect – a partial charge will not damage your battery.
STATUS INDICATOR LIGHTS
The LED light indicates the operating status and the state of charge
of the battery.
- LED steady red – the charger is ready to charge, but no battery is
connected
- LED ashes green. Battery is charging.
- LED steady green: The battery is fully charged and can be
removed.
- LED ashes red: battery fault or overheated.
If the charger is plugged in and no LED lights are illuminated,
unplug and check with your nearest authorized service center.
Do not attempt to use the charger.
To avoid the risk of damage and injury, only use the charger to
recharge Trophy Strike 120V battery packs. Never try to recharge
non-rechargeable batteries.
STORAGE OF THE CHARGER AND BATTERY
For long-term storage, it is preferable that the battery is fully
charged and stored in a dry place at a temperature between
50 - 77 °F (10 -25° C).
The charger should be stored in the same conditions as the
battery, taking care that no foreign objects such as metal chips
enter through the ventilation slots of the charger or short out the
connectors on the battery. Only use the supplied charger and
batteries with this tool.

Operation
DRILLING A HOLE
1. Place the auger onto the output shaft on the powerhead. Align
the bolt holes and use the connecting bolt and connection knob
supplied to lock into place. Always check that this bolt is tight
before each use.
2. Remove the blade guard and place the battery in the powerhead.
3. Choose your position to drill. Ensure that you have a rm footing
and place the point of the auger in the center of your drilling
position.
4. Ensure that the forward/reverse switch is in ‘forward’ position.
5. Press the safety switch and pull the trigger switch. There will be
a short delay before the blade starts to turn. Keep your hands and
feet away from the blade and make sure that loose clothing, hair
or anything else does not become entangled with moving parts.
6. This machine produces a low-speed, high torque output. Make
sure that you have a rm footing and hold the hand grips rmly.
7. Allow the blade to cut at its own speed into the ice. Do not push
down on the auger. If the auger starts to cut the ice more slowly,
it may be time to sharpen the blades. We recommend that the
blades be sharpened annually, or when cutting performance
deteriorates.
8. If the auger becomes stuck, release the trigger switch. Move the
forward/reverse lever into “reverse” and attempt to power the
auger out. If this does not work, remove the battery and manually
unwind the auger from the ice.
9. When you have nished drilling, remove the battery from the
machine and keep both the battery and the machine away from
ice, water or other moisture.
Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended
could result in a hazardous situation. Do not modify the tool, or use
non-authorized attachments or accessories.
To prevent unintentional starting, ensure the switch is in the
OFF position before connecting the battery pack,
picking up or carrying the tool.
!
WARNING

12
Maintenance
1. Always remove and store the battery separately from the auger
powerhead. Always remove the battery before attempting any
maintenance or adjustment.
3. If blade performance decreases, turn unit off and disconnect
battery. Carefully inspect cutting edge of blades for any nicks or
shiny areas. If blades show any of these signs, they should be
resharpened or replaced.
TIP REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the auger from the powerhead.
2. Remove the hex bolt and nut that retains the auger tip (just above
the blade guard).
3. Using locking pliers, grasp the point and pull out.
4. With locking pliers, push in new point and holder aligning bolt
hole in point with holes in auger shaft. DO NOT damage end of
point.
NOTE: When installing holder in auger shaft, edges of holder may
shave off.
5. Insert retaining bolt and tighten with nut.
BLADE REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the auger from the powerhead.
2. Remove the two hex bolts that retain each blade on each side.
3. It is recommended that both blades be sharpened or replaced at
the same time.
WEAR GLOVES AND USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN HANDLING
THE AUGER TIP AND BLADES. The tip and blades will be sharp to
the touch even when too dull to cut ice.

13
Transporting
TRANSPORTING THE ICE AUGER
1. Ensure that the safety control button is released and that the On/Off
trigger is not depressed for transporting to the next drilling site.
2. For transporting longer distances, always remove the battery. To
avoid damage to the auger or powerhead, remove the auger from
the powerhead and transport separately. Remove the battery
by pressing and holding the latch button and sliding it out of the
charger.
3. Never carry or transport the auger from the blade end.
4. Avoid transporting the powerhead near metal shavings or chips
that could come into contact with the battery connections on the
powerhead.
5. Avoid transporting in adverse weather conditions where the
powerhead could be exposed to moisture.

14
Storage
PREPARING FOR LONG TERM STORAGE

2. Remove auger from powerhead and apply a thin layer of grease
to the output shaft.
3. Remove all debris from auger and powerhead.
4. Store auger and powerhead in a vertical position.
5. Attach blade protector to bottom of auger.
STORAGE OF THE CHARGER AND BATTERY
