EN3air cleaner AirgoClean® 140 E / AirgoClean® 145 E•Check accessories and connection parts for possibledamage prior to every use of the device. Do not use anydefective devices or device parts.•Ensure that all electric cables outside of the device areprotected from damage (e.g. caused by animals). Neveruse the device if electric cables or the power connectionare damaged!•The mains connection must correspond to thespecifications in the Technical annex.•Insert the mains plug into a properly fused mains socket.•Observe the technical data when selecting extensions tothe power cable. Completely unroll the extension cable.Avoid electrical overload.•Before carrying out maintenance, care or repair work onthe device, remove the mains plug from the mains socket.Hold onto the mains plug while doing so.•Switch the device off and disconnect the power cable fromthe mains socket when the device is not in use.•Do not under any circumstances use the device if youdetect damages on the mains plug or power cable. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by themanufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualifiedpersons in order to avoid a hazard.Defective power cables pose a serious health risk!•When positioning the device, observe the minimumdistances from walls and other objects as well as thestorage and operating conditions specified in the Technicalannex.•Make sure that the air inlet and outlet are not obstructed.•Make sure that there are no loose items or dirt located inthe immediate surroundings of air inlet and air outlet.•Do not remove any safety signs, stickers or labels from thedevice. 4ENair cleaner AirgoClean® 140 E / AirgoClean® 145 EResidual risksWarning of electrical voltageWork on the electrical components must only becarried out by an authorised specialist company!Warning of electrical voltageBefore any work on the device, remove the mains plugfrom the mains socket!Do not touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands.Hold onto the mains plug while pulling the power cableout of the mains socket.WarningDangers can occur at the device when it is used byuntrained people in an unprofessional or improper way!Observe the personnel qualifications!WarningThe device is not a toy and does not belong in thehands of children.WarningRisk of suffocation!Do not leave the packaging lying around. Children mayuse it as a dangerous toy.NoteDo not operate the device without an air filter insertedinto the air inlet!Without the air filter, the inside of the device will beheavily contaminated. This could reduce theperformance and result in damage to the device.NoteDo not use abrasive cleaners or solvents to clean thedevice.Behaviour in the event of an emergency1.Switch the device off.2.In an emergency, disconnect the device from the mainsfeed-in: Hold onto the mains plug while pulling the powercable out of the mains socket.3.Do not reconnect a defective device to the mains.Information about the deviceDevice descriptionThe device serves to filter the room air with the aim of reducingslight and medium contaminations and odours in order toimprove the air quality. It is equipped with a powerful fansucking in the air. The air flows through the filter and is cleaned.Afterwards the fan releases the clean air back into the room.The 3-in-1 filter is composed of a HEPA filter, a carbon filter anda prefilter.The device uses a HEPA filter to remove bacteria, viruses,pollen, dust mite residue, mould fungus spores and otherallergens from the air. The integrated prefilter (made ofsynthetic fibre) filters out large dust particles before the airflows into the HEPA filter. The integrated carbon filter withactivated carbon also removes odours from the air.The HEPA carbon filter is effective against house dust, petallergens, cigarette smoke, smog and particles which can carrysmells and viruses.The device is equipped with an air quality sensor to display theair quality and control air purification automatically.The device is equipped with an automatic mode, night modeand turbo mode.Additionally, the device comes with an ionization function. Thereleased ions remove pollen, dust, viruses and bacteria from theroom air. Thanks to this air purification method, the quality ofthe room air can be additionally improved.The device comes equipped with aUVfunction. In combinationwith the photocatalytic surface of the filter, the UV LED reducesthe formation of germs, viruses and odours.The three-stage fan and the uncomplicated, quick filter changeensure easy operation.Thanks to its compact dimensions the device can betransported conveniently, and owing to its low-noise operation itcan be used indoors.The device can be operated via the control panel at the deviceor via the infrared remote control.The devices are structurally identical. They merely differ incolour: The device AirgoClean140E comes in white colour, theAirgoClean145E is black.

Make sure that the powercable is not damaged and that you do not damage it duringunwinding.AssemblyFoot assembly1.Fasten both small feet to the large feet using the screws.2.Correctly screw the large feet to the designated points onthe back of the device.3.Check the device for stability.Wall mounting1.Mark the positions for the bore holes on the wall. Observethe minimum distances specified in the technical data.2.Drill the holes into the wall.

Position the holder on the wall asshown and attach the holder in place with the6screws.4.Hook the device into the holder from above.5.Make sure that the device is attached securely.Start-upThe HEPA carbon filter is pre-installed.NoteRemove the plastic cover from the HEPA carbon filter.To insert the HEPA carbon filter, proceed as describedunder Changing the HEPA carbon filter.When positioning the device, observe the minimum distancefrom walls or other objects as described in the chapterTechnical annex.

EN11air cleaner AirgoClean® 140 E / AirgoClean® 145 EErrors and faultsThe device has been checked for proper functioning severaltimes during production. If malfunctions occur nonetheless,check the device according to the following list.The device does not start:•Check the power connection.•Check the power cable and mains plug for damage.•Check the on-site fusing.•Wait for 10minutes before restarting the device. If thedevice is not starting, have the electrics checked by aspecialist company or by Trotec.The device is loud or vibrates:•Check whether the device is set up in a stable and uprightposition.The device gets very warm, is loud or is losingperformance:•Check the air inlets and air filters for dirt. Remove externaldirt.The device works with reduced capacity:•Check the HEPA carbon filter(27) for dirt. If necessary,replace the HEPA carbon filter.•The HEPA carbon filter(27) is soiled and has to be cleaned.Clean the HEPA carbon filter (see chapter Operation andmaintenance).•The air outlet is obstructed. Make sure that the air outlet isnot blocked. If applicable, remove loose objects from theair outlet.•The HEPA carbon filter's plastic cover was not removedbefore installation. Take the HEPA carbon filter out of theplastic cover.•The air quality sensor is clogged or soiled. Windows anddoors should be closed, otherwise dust and othercontamination is able to enter the room. Clean the airquality sensor as described in the Maintenance chapter.The device works with no capacity or the air quality doesnot improve:•Check whether any windows and/or doors of the room areopen. If so, close them.•The HEPA carbon filter is not installed. Install the HEPAcarbon filter.•Check the minimum distance to walls or other objects.Position the device a little more in the room's centre ifrequired.The device gives off an unpleasant odour:•Check the HEPA carbon filter(27) for dirt. If necessary,replace the HEPA carbon filter.•Smoke, e.g. dense tobacco smoke, odours andcontaminations may be in the air. Ventilate the room.The device still does not operate correctly after thesechecks:Please contact the customer service. If necessary, bring thedevice to an authorised specialist electrical company or toTrotec for repair.

EN13air cleaner AirgoClean® 140 E / AirgoClean® 145 EActivities required before starting maintenanceWarning of electrical voltageDo not touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands.•Switch the device off.•Hold onto the mains plug while pulling the power cable outof the mains socket.Warning of electrical voltageTasks which require the device to be opened mustonly be carried out by authorised specialistcompanies or by Trotec.Cleaning the housingClean the housing with a soft, damp and lint-free cloth. Makesure that no moisture enters the housing. Protect electricalcomponents from moisture. Do not use any aggressive cleaningagents such as cleaning sprays, solvents, alcohol-based orabrasive cleaners to dampen the cloth.NoteClean the air outlet if required.Carefully clean the air outlet from the outside with asoft, damp and lint-free cloth.NoteClean the air quality sensor if required.Carefully clean it from the outside with a soft, dampand lint-free cloth.Visual inspection of the inside of the device for dirt1.Remove the air filters.2.Use a torch to illuminate the openings of the device.3.Check the inside of the device for dirt.4.If you see a thick layer of dust, clean the inside of thedevice with a vacuum cleaner.5.Reinsert the air filters.Cleaning and replacing the HEPA carbon filterNoteDo not operate the device without the HEPA carbonfilters inserted!NoteThe HEPA carbon filter cannot be washed and must bereplaced if necessary.NoteThe lifetime of the HEPA carbon filter depends on theambient conditions and the application period of thedevice.•The HEPA carbon filter must be cleaned or replaced if it isvery dirty. This is brought to light e.g. by a reducedcapacity (see chapter Errors and faults).•Make sure that the HEPA carbon filter is installed beforeswitching the device on.•Without the HEPA carbon filter, the device cannot fulfil itsair cleaner function, and the inside of the device will besoiled.The HEPA carbon filter must be cleaned as soon as it is dirty.The HEPA carbon filter must be replaced in case of heavysoiling. If the Filterbutton(17) is illuminated, the HEPA carbonfilter must also be replaced.Visually inspect the HEPA carbon filter for dirt before each start-up.

14ENair cleaner AirgoClean® 140 E / AirgoClean® 145 EPlease proceed as follows:üThe device is switched off.1.Fold out the device cover(26) towards the front.

2.Pull the strips(28) to take the HEPA carbon filter(27) out ofthe device.

3.Clean the HEPA carbon filter(27) with a dry, lint-free clothif it is slightly dirty. If heavily soiled, dispose of the HEPAcarbon filter(27) in accordance with the nationalregulations and remove the new HEPA carbon filter fromthe plastic cover.4.Insert the cleaned/ new HEPAcarbon filter(27) into thedevice. Make sure that the strips(28) are positioned asindicated.

5.Close the device cover(26) again.

6.Press the Filterbutton(17)for3seconds to perform thefilter reset.ðThe illumination of the Filterbutton(17) goes out.

EN15air cleaner AirgoClean® 140 E / AirgoClean® 145 ECleaning the air quality sensorThe air quality sensor(6) has to be cleaned every3months oronce it is soiled(please also refer to the Chapter Operation andChapter Errors and faults).1.Clean the sensor cover using a soft, lint-free cloth.2.Open the sensor cover by sliding the cover towards theside.3.Carefully clean the sensor lens(29) with a cotton budslightly moistened with water. Do not use too much wateras this could damage the sensor.

4.Carefully dry the lens with a dry cotton bud.5.Then close the sensor cover again.
