Thank you for purchasing the TruLink®DVI-D over Cat5 Extender! Our DVI-D over Cat5 Extender is a robust solution that extends your DVI-D signal up to 50 meters (164 feet) over two Cat5
UTP patch cables. This solution is ideal for applications where your DVI-D monitor needs to be placed further than the average 20 meter DVI-D cable limitation. Driving a DVI-D signal over
Cat5 allows you to take advantage of your UTP cable infrastructure already installed for a cost-effective and reliable in-wall installation. This DVI-D over Cat5 solution is ideal for applications
where you need to place your computer in remote location. With our DVI-D over Cat5 Extender, you can place your display across the room, in another room, or on another floor while your
computer remains in a convenient location. We recommend that you read this manual thoroughly and retain for future reference.

Hinweis: Schalten Sie vor dem Anschließen das Quellgerät
und das Anzeigegerät aus.
Schritt 1: Schließen Sie das DVI-D-Kabel mit zwei Steckern
an den DVI-D-Ausgang des Computers und an den Eingang
am Basisgerät an.
Schritt 2: Schließen Sie die zwei Cat5e-Kabel vom
Basisgerät an die entsprechenden Anschlüsse am Remote-
Gerät an. Um den ordnungsgemäßen Betrieb des Extenders
sicherzustellen, müssen die beiden Cat5e-Kabel die gleiche
Länge haben.
Schritt 3: Schließen Sie Ihr zweites DVI-D-Kabel mit zwei

Hinweis: Cat6-Kabel können verwendet werden, werden jedoch

des Extenders negativ beeinflussen.
Note: Be sure that you first power off the source device
and the display before making the connections.
Step 1: Connect your male to male DVI-D cable from the
DVI-D output of the computer to the input on the base unit
Step 2: Connect the two Cat5e cables from the base unit
to the matching ports on the remote unit. To ensure
proper operation of the extender the two Cat5e cables
must be identical lengths.
Step 3: Connect your second male to male DVI-D cable
from the output of the remote unit to the input on your
display.
Step 4: Connect included AC/DC power adapters to the
power inputs on both the base and remote units and then
connect AC/DC adapters to available power outlets.
Step 5: Finally power on the source as well as the
display.
Note: Cat6 cables can be used but are not recommended due
to the skew of signal pairs. Using Cat6 cables may negatively
affect the performance of the extender.

Nota: i cavi Cat6 possono essere utilizzati ma non sono
consigliati poiché provocano la distorsione delle coppie di
segnale. L'impiego dei cavi Cat6 potrebbe influire
negativamente sulla prestazione dell'extender.
