INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the TruLink® (1 Port & 4 Port) VGA over Cat5 Extender Base or Remote Unit. The Extender Base Unit when paired with the Extender Remote Unit is a robust
solution that allows you to extend your VGA signal up to 300 meters (1000 feet) over a Cat5E Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) cable. This solution is ideal for applications where your VGA
monitor needs to be placed further than the average 100 foot VGA cable limitation. Driving VGA signals over Cat5E allows you to take advantage of your UTP cable infrastructure already
installed for a cost-effective and reliable installation. With the TruLink® VGA over Cat5 Extender, you can place your display across the room, on another floor, or in another building while
your computer remains in a convenient location. It is recommended that you read this guide thoroughly before use, and retain for future reference.

Vielen Dank, dass Sie die TruLink® (1 Anschluss und 4 Anschlüsse) VGA-über-Cat5 Basis- oder Remote-Einheit gekauft haben. Die Extender-Basiseinheit ist in Kombination mit der
Extender-Remote-Einheit eine robuste Lösung, mit der Sie Ihre VGA signale über ein ungeschirmtes Cat5E-Twisted-Pair (UTP)-Kabel auf bis zu 300 Meter erweitern können. Diese Lösung
ist ideal für Anwendungen, bei denen der VGA-Monitor weiter entfernt als die für VGA-Kabel durchschnittlich erlaubten 30 Meter aufgestellt werden muss. Die Beförderung der VGA signale
über Cat5E ermöglicht Ihnen die Nutzung Ihrer bereits installierten UTP-Kabelinfrastruktur. Dies macht die Installation kostengünstig und zuverlässig. Mit dem TruLink® VGA-über-Cat5
Extender können Sie Ihren Bildschirm irgendwo im Raum, auf einem anderen Stockwerk oder in einem anderen Gebäude aufstellen, während Ihr Computer an einem geeigneten Ort stehen

INTRODUCTION
Merci de votre achat d'unité d'extension principale ou à distance VGA TruLink® (1 et 4 ports) sur câble Cat5. L'unité d'extension principale, couplée à une unité d'extension à distance
constitue une solution robuste qui vous permet d'augmenter la portée de vos signaux VGA jusqu'à 300 mètres (1 000 pieds) par un câble Cat5 à paires torsadées non blindé (UTP). Cette
solution est idéale pour les applications où le moniteur VGA doit être placé au-delà des 3 m (100 pieds) de longueur moyenne de câble VGA. Faire passer vos signaux VGA par le Cat5E
vous permet de tirer parti de votre infrastructure existante de câble UTP, pour une installation économique et fiable. Avec l'unité d'extension VGA TruLink® sur câble Cat5, vous pouvez placer
votre écran de l'autre côté de la pièce, à un étage différent ou dans un autre bâtiment tout en conservant votre ordinateur à sa place habituelle. Nous recommandons de lire attentivement

INTRODUCCIÓN
Le agradecemos que haya adquirido la unidad remota o base TruLink® (un puerto y cuatro puertos) con alargador VGA por Cat5. La unidad base con alargador junto con la unidad remota
con alargador componen una solución sólida con la que podrá alargar la señal de VGA hasta 300 metros por medio de un cable Cat5 de par trenzado sin apantallar (UTP). Esta solución es
perfecta para aquellos casos en que el monitor VGA tenga que estar colocado a más de 30 metros, que es lo que suelen permitir los cables VGA. Dado que las señales de VGA se
transmiten por medio de un cable Cat5, podrá aprovechar la infraestructura de cables UTP de la que ya dispone, lo cual permite instalar este sistema de forma eficaz y sin incurrir en grandes

uitbreidingsafstandsunit, een robuuste oplossing waarmee u uw VGA signaal met 300 meter kunt verlengen via een Cat5E UTP-kabel. Deze oplossing is ideaal voor toepassingen waarbij uw

DEVICE INSTALLATION
GERÄTEINSTALLATION
Hinweis: Vor der Installation benötigen Sie eine
TruLink VGA Extender-Basiseinheit (Modell mit 1
oder mit 4 Anschlüssen: Nr.89005 bzw. Nr.89006)
und eine TruLink VGA Extender-Remote-Einheit
(Nr.89007). (jeweils separat erhältlich)
Schritt 1
Schalten Sie den PC aus. Verbinden Sie den HD15-
Buchseneingang der Extender-Basiseinheit
(89005:1 Anschluss) oder (89006:4 Anschlüsse
über ein HD15-Kabel mit Ihrem
PC.
Schritt 2 (optional)
Wenn Sie einen lokalen Monitor verwenden,
verbinden Sie den HD15-Buchsenausgang der
Extender-Basiseinheit über ein HD15-Kabel mit
Ihrem Monitor.
Schritt 3
Verbinden Sie die Extender-Basiseinheit und die
Extender-Remote-Einheit über ein Cat5-Kabel.
Schritt 4
Verbinden Sie den HD15-Buchsenanschluss der
Extender-Remote-Einheit über HD15-Kabel mit
Ihrem Monitor.
Schritt 5
Schließen Sie die Netzadapter der Extender-
Basiseinheit und der Extender-Remote-Einheit an.
Schritt 6
Schalten Sie die PCs und anderen Geräte ein, um
die Installation abzuschließen.

Step 1
Turn off your PC. Connect the Extender Base Unit
(89005:1 port) or (89006:4 port) HD15 female Input
connector with a HD15 male to male cable from your
PC.
Step 2 (optional)
If you are using a local monitor, connect the
Extender Base Unit HD15 female Output connector
with a HD15 cable from your monitor.
Step 3
Connect the Extender Base Unit and Extender
Remote Unit with a Cat5 cable.
Step 4
Connect the Extender Remote Unit HD15 female
connector with a HD15 cable to your monitor.
Step 5
Connect the Extender Base and Remote Unit power
adapters.
Step 6
Turn on PCs and other equipment to complete
installation.
INSTALLATION DU PERIPHERIQUE
Remarque : avant l'installation, vous devez disposer

Étape 1

Allumer les PC et les autres appareils pour terminer
l'installation.

Nota: prima dell’installazione, sarà necessario avere
un’Unità base Extender VGA TruLink (modello a 1 o
4 porte: n. 89005 o n. 89006 rispettivamente) e
un’Unità remota Extender VGA TruLink (n. 89007).

Fase 1
Spegnere il PC. Collegare il connettore di ingresso
femmina dell’Unità base Extender (89005:1 porta) o
(89006:4 porte) con un cavo maschio-maschio HD15
del PC.
Fase 2 (opzionale)
Se si utilizza un monitor locale, collegare il
connettore di uscita femmina HD15 dell’Unità base
Extender a un cavo HD15 del monitor.
Fase 3
Collegare l’Unità base Extender e l’Unità remota
Extender con un cavo Cat5.
Fase 4
Collegare il connettore femmina HD15 dell’Unità
remota Extender con un cavo HD15 al monitor.
Fase 5
Collegare gli adattatori di alimentazione dell’Unità
remota e della base Extender.
Fase 6
Accendere i PC e altre apparecchiature per
completare l’installazione.

Stap 1
Schakel de pc uit. Sluit de basisunit van de
Extender aan (89005:1 poort) of (89006:4 poort)
HD15 ingang/vrouwtje connector met een HD15
mannetje/mannetje-kabel vanaf uw pc.
Stap 2 (optioneel)
Als u een lokale monitor gebruikt, sluit dan de
Extender basisunit HD14 vrouwtje-
uitgangsconnector aan met een HD15-kabel vanaf
uw monitor.
Stap 3
Sluit de basisunit van de Extender en de
afstandsunit van de Extender aan met een Cat5-
kabel.
Stap 4
Sluit de afstandsunit Extender HD15 vrouwtje-
connector met een HD15-kabel aan op uw monitor.
Stap 5
Sluit de basisunit en de afstandsunit van de
Extender aan op de stroomadapters.
Stap 6
Schakel pc’s en andere apparatuur in om de
installatie te voltooien.
INSTALACIÓN DEL DISPOSITIVO
Nota: Antes de la instalación deberá disponer de
una unidad base TruLink con alargador VGA
(modelos de 1 ó 4 puertos: nº 89005 o nº 89006
respectivamente) y una unidad remota TruLink con
alargador VGA (nº 89007). (Cada unidad se vende
por separado.)
Paso 1
Apague el PC. Acople el conector de entrada
hembra HD15 de la unidad base con alargador (la
89005, de un puerto, o bien la 89006, de cuatro
puertos) por medio de un cable macho a macho
HD15 conectado al PC.
Paso 2 (opcional)
En caso de estar utilizando un monitor situado en la
misma zona, acople el conector de salida hembra
HD15 de la unidad base con alargador por medio de
un cable HD15 conectado al monitor.
Paso 3
Conecte la unidad base con alargador y la unidad
remota con alargador por medio de un cable Cat5.
Paso 4
Acople al monitor el conector hembra HD15 de la
unidad remota con alargador por medio de un cable
HD15.
Paso 5
Conecte los adaptadores de alimentación de la
unidad base y la unidad remota con alargador.
Paso 6
Para finalizar la instalación, apague los PC y los
demás equipos.
