OWNER’S MANUAL
Congratulations on purchasing the most innovative audio amplifier on the market today. The
Model 1500 incorporates a patented MosValve circuit designed by B.K. Butler. The MosValve
power amplifier is a Class A design that emphasizes even order harmonics, which are very
pleasing to the human ear. This design makes the Model 1500 an excellent choice for instru-
ment amplification, including guitar, bass, keyboard and P.A.
•This amplifier was designed primarily for musical instrument and sound reinforcement ampli-
fication. It is an addition to your audio rig which will add warmth and definition to your sound.
•Use the MosValve 1500 with any preamp capable of producing 775 mV into a 20K load
(Virtually any preamp).
•Use with speakers or cabinets capable of at least 250 watts RMS continuous power when
operating in stereo or two channel mono modes or when using a speaker or cabinet capable
of at least 400 watts RMS continuous power when operating in the mono one channel driven
mode.

THIS EQUIPMENT.
•This is a stereo power amp. Mono operation is switchable (both inputchannels bridged)
with the use of Channel A inputs. Normal stereo operation is only possible with the rear-
panel switch set to “STEREO”. NOTE: Channel B inputs are disabled when “MONO” mode
is used. Only Channel A inputs may be used in this mode.
•??It is often advisable to use only one channel for mono (for example, if you are using only
one speaker cabinet), as the 1500 will produce 380 watts into a 4 ohm load with only one
channel driven. Use Channel A, and set Channel B controls to “0”. NOTE: It will not dam-
age Channel B to have no speaker plugged into it while using only Channel A.
•The Presence control is “Flat” when set at “0”. Turning the control clockwise increases high
frequency response, to a maximum of +15dB @ 10KHz. NEVER attempt to power bridge
the two speaker output channels together. NEVER parallel or series them into one speaker
or cabinet. If power from both channels is to be used, ALWAYS use at least two separate
speaker systems (one per channel). ALL WARRANTIES WILL IMMEDIATELY BECOME
VOID IF ANY ATTEMPT AT POWER BRIDGING OR SERIES/PARALELL OUTPUT CON-
NECTION IS MADE!
•A certain amount of heat during operation is normal. The 1500 is biased in a manner in
which some heat will be present even while idling. It is best to keep the amp towards the
bottom of the rack (coolest air) and avoid blocking the vents on the case. NEVER DISABLE
THE FAN!
•Do not connect loads lower than 4 ohms per channel. These can besinge speaker cabinets
per output or a combination of two cabinets per output.

WARRANTY
Your MosValve 1500 is warranted for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase against defects in
materials or manufacturing to the original, registered owner provided he/she has returned a completely
filled-out OWNER’S REGISTRATION CARD. This warranty covers parts and labor only; shipping
charges remain the sole responsibility of the owner. Damage due to modification or abuse is excluded
from this warranty. Before returning any unit for service, a RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZA-
TION NUMBER (RMA) must be obtained by calling 480-941-0705.

As indicated on the rear panel of the MosValve 1500, the following are additional
warnings:
•The use and operation of this device constitutes an agreement of full release of any and all
liability connected with such use. Only personnel familiar with high-powered audio equip-
ment should attempt to operate this device.
•In addition, by the use of this device, user agrees to hold Genz Benz Enclosures, Inc., it's
designers, sales agents and all other affiliates and related parties harmless in the event of
any accident, injury, damage or loss, both real and incidental resulting from such use.
•Manufactures sole responsibility is to provide a warranty on the specified performance of
the product under normal conditions for a period of three years.
