For Windows ME & XP:
1. Boot up your computer
2. Insert the 7-in-1 Card Reader’s USB plug into the USB port of
your computer.
3. The 4 ports of the Card Reader will be recognized as
removable drives in ‘My Computer’. (Due to Windows default,
there is no icon support in Windows ME&XP.)
To safely remove a memory card from the reader:
Note: Removing a flash memory card while data is being written may
cause data loss. Always be sure to check the activity LED on the
reader before removing the media. The activity LED must be
continuously on and not blinking before removing the flash media
memory card.
1. Double Click on ‘My Computer’ and then right click
on the removable drive’s icon.
2. Select ‘Eject’ This will clear any cache and message
will appear announcing that it is safe to remove the
media from your reader.
To safely disconnect the reader from computer:
1. Right click on the Unplug or Eject Hardware icon
(doesn’t support in Windows98) on your Toolbar.
2. On the menu which appears, click on the Stop option
and then you may safely remove the reader.
For Macintosh OS 8.6+:
1. Boot up your Macintosh.
2. Insert the 7in1 driver CD into your CD-ROM drive.
3. Double Click the icon named Setup.exe
4. Read the Version Manager warning. Please check the version
of your OS to make sure you are installing the correct driver
for your Mac.
5. After installation, restart the computer.
6. Insert the 7-in-1 Card Reader’s USB plug into the USB port of
your computer.
7. Each of the removable drives will appear as icons on the
Desktop when a flash memory card is inserted.
To safely remove a memory card from the reader:
Note: Removing a flash memory card while data is being written may

1. To remove a flash memory card, drag the removable
drive icon into the Trash Can
2. A message will appear that it is safe to remove the
flash memory card from the reader.
To safely disconnect the reader from computer:
1. All removable drive icons must be dragged into the
Trash Can before the reader can be safely
disconnected from your computer
2. To access the flash memory card after having placed it
in the Trash Can, simply unplug the Media and place
it back into the reader.
