Doorpanelsarevandalresistantstainlesssteelwithengravedoperatinginstructionsandaflushmountingbackbox.
ThecontrollerincludesalowvoltagepowersupplyandaterminationboardhousedinanIP65lockableenclosure.The
telephonehandsetshaveasinglepushbuttonforlockreleaseorprivacyandasingleLEDtoindicateprivacymodeor
dooropen.
Atypicalinstallationrequires2separatecablesbetweenthedoorpanelandthecontroller;

IfaOneproxreaderisfittedinthedoorpanelthenanadditional6core7/0.2cablewillberequiredtothePAC

beenopened/closedandilluminatealltelephoneLED’sgreenifthedoorisleftopen.
AN/Opresstoexitbuttoncanbeconnectedtothedoorpanel,thiswillreleasethedoorlockandallowpersonsto
exitthebuilding.

2.01INSTALLATION
Thecontrollershouldbelocatedinadry,secureareawhichiseasilyaccessibleforterminationandfutureservice.The
cableentryplateisnormallyonthebottomwiththedoorhingesontherighthandside.Thebackplatecanbe
invertedifitisnecessarytofittheenclosurewiththecableentryplateonthetopandhingesontheleft.Always
ensureproprietarycableglandsareusedtomaintaintheIP65ratingoftheenclosure.
2.02EARTHBONDING
Alldoorentrymetalworkeg.controllercabinet,doorpanelbackbox&fascia,fireman’sswitches,etc.mustbebonded
toEarthviatheMainsEarthterminalusingaminimumof2.5mm2cable.
2.03MAINSSUPPLY
The240VACmainsconnectionshouldbetakenfromthelandlordssupplyandterminatedinthefusedscrewterminal
blockprovidedinthecontroller.Replacementfuse=20mm3Aanti‐surge.
2.04SMPSUMODULE
Thecontrollerincludesa15V/60Wswitchedmodepowersupplyunitwhichhasbeenfactorysetto13.75VDCfor
batterycharging.Thiscanprovideanoutputcurrentof4.3Awithsolidstateoverloadprotection‐therearenouser
replaceablefusesintheSMPSUmodule.
2.05BATTERYSTANDBY
Anoptional12V2.8Ahrechargeablebattery(TynetecP/No.F00040)canbeconnectedtomaintainnormaloperation
intheeventofamainsfailure.Thestandbypowerrequirementofatypicalsystem(excludinglockrelease)isapprox
200mA,thereforetheactualtimethesystemwillbesupportedbythebatteryisdeterminedmainlybythelock
current.Aprotectioncircuitwilldisconnectthebatteryintheeventofprolongedmainsfailuretopreventdamageto
thebattery.Themainssupplymustbeappliedfirsttoenergisetheprotectioncircuit,ie.thesystemwillnotfunction
bysimplyconnectingthebatteryalone.

3.DOORPANEL
Enteli2Functionaldoorpanelsaremanufacturedwiththenumberofbuttonstomatchthenumberofflatsinthe
building(maximum15).Eachbuttonisengravedwiththecorrespondingflatnumberandahigh‐visibilityyellowring.
Whenabuttonispressedavoicemessagewillconfirmtheflatnumberbeingcalled.Ifthetelephoneisturnedoffa
voicemessagewillannounce“SorryNotAvailable–PleaseTryLater”.
Timeoutpipswillsoundifaconversationisheldtowithin10secondsoftheprogrammedspeechtime,thecallwill
thenautomaticallycancel.WhenthedoorlockisreleasedfromatelephoneortheTradebuttonavoicemessagewill
announce“DoorOpen–PleaseEnter”.
TheoptionalTradebuttonisusedforServicestogainaccessduringpresettimeperiodseachday.IftheTradebutton
ispressedduringatradeperiodthedoorlockisreleased.

Thedoorpanelhasanintegralrealtimeclockwithit’sownbatteryback‐up.Upto3tradeperiodscanbesetwhich
willrepeateveryday.AutomaticBritishSummerTime(BST)adjustmentismadeinMarchandOctoberifenabledin
programming–seesection7.18.
DuringatradeperiodthedoorpanelTRADEbuttoncanbepressedtogainaccess,ifthedoorpaneldoesnothave
TRADEbuttonthenthedoorlockwillautomaticallyreleaseforthefulltradeperiod.TheTradeoptioncanbedisabled
